CAUTION.....STOP.......RED FLAG....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Tom not Tommy" simply Tom. Tom is a serial killer" Tom is a sociopath and Tom enjoys killing things and people. First time Tom killed something ( a rooster), the thrill of the kill excited him. Growing up Tom had no friends, his Mentally Ill mother involved him in thing's a 8 year old child has no business doing. Incest , drugs masturbating. School was no better as he was being bullied, but Tom simply Tom solved that problem, Billy the bully was Tom's first human that he killed......... A serial Killer was born! Hands down this is a five 🌟 read. Would I recommend this book. I most certainly would.
Biographical Suicide Note I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
Deidra begins this book by stating that it is a result of her trying to come to terms with an "accident" she witnessed with her Aunt.
Many people try to figure out why people commit suicide. It is so hard on the ones left behind. This tale takes quite an unusual spin.
We meet Tom as he is headed to his final act. He decides to tell us in plain language how he got to this point. He was an only child of a single mother who definitely had mental issues. You feel for him as a young boy. His confusion and pain are real. Abused sexually and emotionally by both his mother and the men she brings into his life leave scars.
How does he deal? Well, I am not going to give away anything. I will say that Deidra has enough twists to keep you enthralled to the end!
Written in the first person, it is obvious that the author has placed part of herself in the character,

"Interstate 64" by Deidra D. S. Green
My Speculation:
All that is left to say is this was one read by this author, let me with a lot of feelings all over the place. The read is not for the faint of heart. This poor Tom had a 'tumultuous childhood with not love with psychological torment' that will leave one in awe and not in the right way. The reader will be disturbed and sad from all that goes on. Yes, Tom is a sociopath and serial killer, but what would you expect growing up with no friends and with his mentally ill mother and all that when on with her and her boyfriend leaving one to say wow. Be ready for a little bit of it all from 'incest, drugs, masturbating, being bullied, murder, killings, and suicide.' The read was a hard read, but I was able to read it to the end. I had hoped after Tom met up with George, and things would change for the better for Tom, but well, all that is left to say is you must pick up "Interstate 64" so see how it all comes out.
His name is Tom, Just Tom. In Interstate 64, Tom tells his life story up to the day he dies. Beginning in early childhood his mother chronically abused him. Children learn love and affection from their parents. Tom's lesson in both were severely tainted. As Tom took me through the daily life of his early years, I felt so sorry for the lost little boy. His mother was severely depressed and schizophrenia. Tom became a product of his environment, the abuse he received he eventually gave out. The later chapters of this book were quite accurate. As a truck driver myself, I have seen the "women of the night" that congress in truck stops. This book was very well written and kept me wanting to see what happened next, I would only recommend this book to someone with a strong stomach.
Well the warning was posted in the synopsis. The book is not for the weak. In fact, the first 13 chapters proved that Tom's mom was one mentally sick woman. Once that damage was done, a ruthless individual was created. Tom was quite a character and his actions proved it. This was one unforgettable standalone.
