This isn't that story where she gets engaged, gets pregnant, gets married and has a happily ever after. There is always drama in life and the drama comes out in this book...

The story starts with a bang, or maybe more of a crash as the hero and heroine are trapped in a small space after a crane knocks a brick wall over on top of them. The hero is a security specialist who does a lot of work for the heroine's dad. She works for dad also. Her ex is the father of the baby in the title and he's also committed fraud on a grand scale. Somebody thinks she had to know about it and is determined to get the money the ex stole out of her hide, which is what brings the hero back into her world. The suspense elements are Very mild. I never did quite get why the hero was so determined to avoid her. Yes, he had a bad marriage but there never was a connection between why that didn't work and why the heroine wouldn't work either. But the story as a whole still worked, and well. I particularly liked the opening. It's a good read.

This story was wonderful and a great read. it wasn't cheesy and I loved how down to earth the majority of the characters were. Blue was a sweetheart and Jessie was so caring and kind hearted.

this story confused me because the summary does not match the actual book. It was about Jessie and Curt. Jessie had been in love with Curt since freshman year and when she finally made love to him, he had been drunk and had totally forgotten it. then he avoided her. Twelve years later Jessie is now the teacher of Curt newly found three year old daughter. Will they reconcile their past chemistry?
