I got the honour to beta-read this book when the author came to me and asked me to make a Book Trailer for it! I normally like to read a book before making a Book Trailer, so I got to read this book in July just after the author had finished it! I haven't read the final version of it, so some of the scenes may have been changed or taken out altogether, but my review is based on what I read! I'm sure it is very similar to the final version! A Tattered Love is the first book from this author that I've read, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from it, but I loved it! The synopsis instantly drew me to it and then I saw the cover which basically sealed the deal lol! The plot of this book was easy to follow and I really enjoyed it! I was intrigued when I first read the synopsis and it really does the plot justice! The plot was quite sad, but it had some serious bright spots as well! Especially for the main character! The plot went at a good pace to keep me interested and it kept me wanting to read on! I did have a few difficulties with it, but I'm positive that those difficulties have been fixed in the final version! The characters were amazing and I connected with them for most of the book, but in some scenes/chapters I didn't connect with them as much as I could have! Riley was the main character and I felt so sorry for her! She had built walls up around herself to protect herself and her love interest tries to break through those walls, but Riley was a character that had been hurt so many times that she found it hard to let anyone in! Once I found out what she had been through I completely understood why Riley was like this! She grew so much during this book though and I loved that because she deserved to grow and have more confidence! Dustin was the love interest of Riley and he was so hot! Like seriously hot! He had some secrets and throughout the book they started to be revealed! I loved how independent Dustin wanted to be considering his family background and I really admired that about him! I did think that sometimes he didn't take Riley's feelings into consideration and he did what he was though was right not really thinking of how it would affect Riley! I still loved him though and I adored his relationship with Riley! I have to admit that I did think that some of the relationships between the character in this book did develop too quickly! I would have loved for the book to have panned out a bit more to let their relationships develop more slowly, but overall the book was a good length! There were also other characters in this book that added so much to the story! I loved the secondary characters and I also loved what they brought to the story! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book to this one! I don't think there will be, but I wouldn't mind another book lol! I also think that two secondary characters from this book deserve their story told! *Wink wink* The cover for A Tattered Love is stunning! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I can't wait until I see it in paperback! Big thank you to Nickie for letting me beta read A Tattered Love and also for having me on her Blog Tour!

Riley and Dustin have a very tattered story to tell. The title fits this book perfectly. Riley is reinventing herself. She has left her old life and is building a new one without the judgment of those around her. Enter Dustin. He is not in the cards for her. She didn't see him coming or the turmoil it would wreak on this life she si desperately building. It's not all bad turmoil either so don't fret. Just the type that takes everything you had planned and throws it to the wind. The interesting kind.

This book was a quick and interesting read. It had a lot of twists thrown into the mix that spiced the storyline up. I enjoyed that especially since some of them I had to double take. The characters were well-developed and all the secondaries that we meet create a very interesting dynamic for this world Nickie has made.

I really annoyed some of the secondaries, maybe even more than Evan and Riley at some points and I hope e get to hear some more from them in the future :) If not I am still happy I got to meet them as much as we did.

I did have some trouble with this book though. Some of the conversations, as well as Riley's train of thought and decisions just rubbed me the wrong way. The good very much outweighed the not-so-good though. I really enjoyed the book. It balanced very well and kept me reading. It had a great storyline and a great ending. That topped with a nice juicy middle packed with some steamy scenes and some super emotional and I was set.  Great Job Nickie. One Click my Novel Grounders.

I give this book 5+ stars.
It was a great read. I was so emotionally everywhere, but it was well worth it.

I loved the characters, pretty much every last one of them, EXCEPT CORELLA the Biotchhhh.(Dustin's mom, Lori). She is one cruel, spitefull, evil evil person, who deserved everything she got in the end, plus some! And let's not forget Sabrina, who is a twin of Corella's, they should have been mother and dauther.
The reason I call her Corella, is because they were evil witches.

But all the other characters were great. I feel in love with the love they had for eachother. Seth, Evan, Abby, Dustin, and Riley were wonderful people that anyone would love.

But most of all my favorite was Dustin. He was such a great guy all around, then father. It was a dream, that any female would love to have. And Riley was perfect for him, so sweet, and wonderful. I could go on and on about this book, and it still wouldn't do it justice as to how great it truly was.

So glad I was just randomly looking at covers :)
I have SO many more books I wanted to read ASAP, even before this one, but something drew me to this book, and I be damned if I am glad it did. No regrets!!!!!

I will be looking for more by Nickie Seidler, that is for damn sure!!!!!

I found this story very touching and endearing, as we watch two young adults try to find their way in life with old wounds that had yet to heal. It has a soap opera feel to it, but progresses without a lot of down time in the story. I never found myself checking to see how much farther till I was finished with the book, that happens a lot to me when I read a book that has the soap opera feel.

Riley just wants her past to stay in the past. Mistakes of her parents had a way of crushing her future so she left town and started over in a new place. She fought for everything she had, job, friends, car, apartment and she did it alone. Dustin came from a wealthy family who thought they had the right to control his life. He was trying to break from that plus be a father to his little girl that he wasn’t allowed to see often. When the two met, it was instant attraction and a great deal of hesitance on Riley’s part. She knew what giving a piece of her heart meant, it was promised heart-break.

Dustin was very determined to give Riley what she deserved, LOVE. Those two fought through his mother harassing Riley because of her past and family, the mother of his child who felt she had a right to dictate who was going to be in Dustin’s life. Dustin had to make boundaries and from the way the story read, this was the first time he felt he had a reason to build them. He was use to the control his mother and ex girlfriend had on him, but was he willing to break that hold for Riley.

Of course we had the girl gets upset and runs away, boy giving up only to decide later he will chase her down. We had the forgiveness and give it another try just so they could break up again………..wash, rinse, repeat……..BUT with this story the author made those episodes sound reasonable and mature. I actually found that I agreed with Riley, I would have run to and it was clear she did run out of love for Dustin and his children. Dustin wasn’t one of those ego maniac males that felt like Riley needed to come back to him, he gave her space because he felt that was what she wanted and out of love for her he granted her wish. Once the truth came out, he didn’t waste a second to get to her. He had been kept in the dark and lied to by so many, I couldn’t blame him for not chasing her at first.

This book gives us strong characters, who although it sounds like another sappy love story, really did make mature choices and did what they did out of love for each other. It was misunderstandings, lies and secrets through out their story and all of this caused by outsiders. While they remained honest with each other, they still had to hold some secrets to protect the other. I loved this book, and I felt such an attachment to these two young people. The ending, although I am sure you can predict it as a HEA, holds a new dimension of creating a family with what you have been given in life. Riley was so accepting of Dustin’s daughter, it brought tears to my eyes a few times. I highly recommend this book if you are wanting a love story with twists and turns. It isn’t going to give you a dark side to life, but it will give you a journey into what others will do for their own agenda and how that can and will backfire on you in the end. Once again the good will win over evil.

"Riley, take a chance with me. I promise I'll treat you right."

Riley Miller didn't trust easily. She had moved to a new town, escaping a past that not only humiliated her, but haunted her. Meeting Dustin was not in her plan, just as falling in love with Riley, wasn't in Dustin's. Riley and Dustin met at Evan and Abby's apartment one night. Since that moment, everything changed for them.
"You have to ask yourself is it worth the risk to chance it?"

They both took a leap of faith... felt that the risk was very much worth it. What they didn't know, was that the journey they decided to take together, was going to be a very bumpy one. To say things were not easy for them along the way, would be putting it mildly. There were a lot of twists and turns along the way as well as secrets that got uncovered. Secondary characters complicated things and caused a lot of drama and some angst throughout the story. Both Riley and Dustin had their secrets and pasts. Facing them together was the hard part, especially when people and certain circumstances kept getting in the way.

Abby and Evan were very cool secondary characters. You could totally tell how much they loved each other. I really enjoyed reading about them and seeing them interact with Dustin and Riley. They all had a great friendship and chemistry that you can't help but want for yourself.

Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read. There's passion, romance, angst, and drama. See? Entertaining. But to be honest, I was originally leaning towards a 3.5 Stars rating. Riley's decision making in several occasions, among other things, kind of threw me off. However, there were a few scenes along the way, that made me change my mind and give it the full 4 Stars. One thing is certain, I never knew what to expect from this book. Like I said earlier, a lot of twists and turns. Of course, by the end, it all wrapped up nicely. A Tattered Love is a book about two people fighting for love and accepting that other person as they are.

* I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. *
This is the second book by Nickie Seidler that I have read and I enjoyed it almost as much as the first (you always love your first in some way, don't you?!?). She has a unique writing style that I really enjoy, she uses point of views from several of the characters throughout the book as well as the "new" type of texting in the books. The story flows smoothly from start to finish and it wraps up nice and tidy at the end. She never loses the reader and never makes you wonder what is going on, it is a smooth read.

The characters are strong, resilient, hard working and fun to read about. I loved how they were all so different from each other but they blended together and made some awesome friendships throughout book. They had a great bond with one another and it was obvious that they'd always have each others backs! The journey that Riley and Dustin decided to take together, was going to be a very bumpy one and they knew this right from the start. There was plenty of passion, romance, angst, lust, tension, hurt, lies, and even deceitful in laws.... there was barely any down time for these characters and all of the drama they were going through. The story continued to take a lot of twists and turns, some of which were expected and some that were not. A Tattered Love is a book about two people fighting for love and accepting the other person as they are, even if there are things that the others kept from each other. It wasn't a happy, everything is perfect, and we're in love type of story, but a heartbreaking, hard, life is real story that could happen to anyone that reads it.

Make sure that you add this onto your TBR list and pick it up soon, as Nickie has another book that was just released and you don't want to get too far behind in your Nickie Seidler reading list! I have decided that she is one of my new favorite authors and can't wait to catch the next book! Enjoy the story of Riley, Dustin and friends, it's a great one!!

A Tattered Love made me go crazy!
The story is great and I love the concept of it.The characters are also strong, I love how they are different from each other and I love how they blended with each other, not overlapping from each other.

Characters:
I loved Riley's character and personality. She's strong-willed (and that's what I really liked about her, she has a backbone and not lame). She's interesting and mysterious that made me drawn to her and made me want to know more about this girl.

Dustin on the other hand, he's a bit cocky but that's what makes him hot! I love how he's being protective. And I love how he acts when Riley's around..

Dustin mom and Molly's mom, well, I hate them. I hate how the way they treated Riley. But they brought the story in to the next level (making it more good and exciting).

Story:
I love how the story was written, it's not boring. I love how the dramas were created, interesting (with all Dustin's momma baby and mom). The way the story ended is also good, I love how the things ended with Dustin and Riley. I'm not disappointed on how it went!

Ms. Nickie did a wonderful job in this book. Definitely worth reading!

Overall, the story was good. However, I had a really hard time with the dialogue and the behavior of the characters. There was a little too much in the story I thought, that didn't really belong (Dustin's sisters attempted rape, Riley's gazing at the hot new waiter at work, even the part about Austin). The dialogue between them was almost juvenile at times, not what you'd expect from someone in their mid-twenties.

Riley and Dustin sure have a lot going against them but its great to see them work through it.

I loved the friendships in the story. They had a great bond with one another and it was obvious that they'd always have each others backs!

Oh and Dustin's mom...hello witch!!! I love that no matter what happened, she didn't win!

Over all, I'd give this one 3/5 stars and I'd definitely look forward to reading more from this author.

This book started off interesting, but I could not stay into it. There always seemed to be some drama, which often resulted in a break-up only for them to get back together only to repeat the process. The ending was better which I am glad I continued on and finished. It just seemed to not flow.... Also, what happened to Austin? He was brought up several times but ?

Excerpt:
"Please, forgive me. I handled my mother. I told her I want nothing to do with my family right now. Please, understand that I'm deeply sorry for her stupidity, and her harsh words. I asked you to take a chance with me, remember? I didn't ask for my mother's permission. I don't get along with my family, Riley. Haven't in a while." I held her tight knowing I loved having her in my arms.
She pulled me closer to her and dug her head in my shoulder and squeezed my back with her hands. She welcomed the hug, and her touch made my body tighten, and I was highly aroused.
I loved her touch. I decided to make a hopeful move to ease the tension. I hoped she would except. I pulled slightly back and looked at her swollen red eyes as I closed mine and leaned in, pressing my lips to hers. She reciprocated the kiss with passion. Passion I hadn't seen from her before now. I intensified the kiss massaging my lips on hers. She's so sexy! I can't get enough of her. I slid my hands down her back gripping her shirt, and tugging on it. I unleashed my tongue in her mouth and swirled it around getting a full taste of her. The bulge in my pants was growing by the second. I wrapped my arms under her ass and lifted her up and she wrapped her arms around my neck kissing me wildly.
"My apartment" she let out softly, panting for me.

My Review:
Riley has learned to be alone. Only relying mainly on herself for most of her adult life. Due to her past with her family she has put up walls to protect herself from any more pain. When she moves to Cape Cod she meets Abby, Evan and soon Dustin, she is finding it hard to keep people out. What I liked about Riley is she is tough, but also has a tender side. With everything that's happened to her she is just trying to live one day at a time.
Dustin oh my sweet Dustin. He is a sexy, sweet, and a very charismatic guy. He also happens to come from money. I instantly LOVED Dustin. Now his mother, not so much. She is a complete BITCH. Oh how I LOVED to HATE her. She thought money and her place in the community was more important then her kids. I kept hoping for Dustin to tell her off. Tell her GO TO HELL!!!
I LOVED the instant connection Riley and Dustin feel for each other. I LOVE, a love at first sight book. These two had so much chemistry. I enjoyed the scenes between them. Even when things were not great you could still feel these two really loved each other. That they needed each other.
Abby and Evan!!!!! Ok I just freaking LOVED these two. They are just so perfect together. They seemed to have the perfect relationship. They were such good friends to both Riley and Dustin. Kept trying to get these two to work things out. Never giving up on them. I would really LOVE a story about them Nickie Seidler. I would LOVE to see how they meet, and watch their love grow.
Overall, I have to say A Tattered Love was an enjoyable and entertaining read. Once I started I had to keep reading seeing that Riley and Dustin get their HEA. There's some HOT and sexy scenes. There is some romance, and even some angst, and a whole lot of drama thrown in. There were so many different twists in A Tattered Love. I felt like I was on a crazy ride. But of course, it was a freaking AWESOME ride. Another thing I loved no cliffhanger by the end, its all wrapped up nicely with a cute blue bow on top. (You'll See)!! I gave it 4 1/2 stars. I was given a copy of A Tattered Love in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet romance and a very quick read. It started off interesting enough. Both the characters are hesitant to start a relationship but they can't deny the sparks. What through me was once they were together everythign was so rushed. It felt like I was holding down the fast forward button and just zooming by. Another thing that through me was the insta-attraction/love. It felt a bit forced and beleive it or not a bit too fast even for what I'm used to reading about. What made it more great, interesting and not so-typical was the added suspense and mystery. You'll be rooting for their happy ending and hope that admist all the drama that evenetually that will be possible.

The amount of drama in this book was ridiculous. Everywhere you look there's something popping up from crazy exes to secrets that remain hidden under old shoe boxes in someones closet. Every-time you stop and take a breath another dreaded mishap occurs. After awhile it became a bit unrealistic and unbelievable.

However through all this Dustin and Riley somehow persevere. They get their HEA and thank the Lord for that. The drama these two went to would send a normal person to the crazy-house in seconds flat. Needless to say I'm glad I wasn't Riley even with Dustin's hotness. There is only so much drama and surprises one can take and this girl sees her fair share.

Be prepared to not only love soem of the characters like Riely's friend Abby but just as equally loathe some of the others. One for instance is Dustin's mom. She takes the cake in the worst mother of the year award. You know the type. Rich, stuck-up woman who will never see anyone that is good enough for her son and does any and all she can to control his life even if that means threatening and ruining his relationships. She was such a drag. She butts in more times than I could count and I really wish Dustin would have stood up to her more or really just laid into her. Also maybe I'm getting sick of the played out 'rich mother' card but I felt these two had so many other issues happening that a mother butting in was just an added dilemna that drowned out other parts of the story.

Overall I enjoyed the story. It was literally overflowing with drama and deceit but I finished it and was thoroughly pleased with their HEA. I thought it would never come. This certainly works as a NA novel and I would recommend it to fans of the genre but be warned the dramatic elements sometimes overthrow the main dynamic of the story and like my case you may find yourself pulling your hair out before the end.

Holly’s 4.5 Star Beta Review

A little while ago I was contacted by a fellow blogger asking if I would consider beta reading a new book for an author. My obsession with all things books refused to let me turn the offer down and I’m glad because that author was Nickie Seidler and that new book was A Tattered Love.

Riley has had some real bad luck in her fairly short life so she has relied mainly on herself for many years. Her past has forced her to build walls to protect herself and her heart but when she moves to Cape Cod and meets Abby, Evan and Dustin, she suddenly finds herself struggling to keep those walls in place.

Nickie has created a really great bunch of characters in A Tattered Love. It’s easy to love the good guys and hate the bad guys with a passion! You can’t help but feel for Riley and really wish that she gets a HEA – and the way this book goes, you’re left guessing right up until the end as to if a HEA is even possible for these two characters. Just when you’re getting ready to breathe a sigh of relief because things are starting to go good, something comes out of nowhere to make you rethink where this story is going.

Dustin is a sexy, kind and loveable kind of guy. He’s also had a lot to put up. He’s from a privileged background and his Mother is a snob with a diamond spoon wedged firmly up her ass! In case you haven’t guessed, I really didn’t like her but I LOVED that I hated her. Every book needs a character that can bring out the not so bright and cheery emotions in you and this book had more than one! I won’t go into the details as to who else there is to hate because Dustin has a few secrets up his sleeve that only he can let you in on.

Abby and Evan!!!!! I loved these two hard and I actually really want them to have their book because they’re just awesome! They have the perfect little relationship that makes you kinda jealous of them until you realise that, you know, they’re not actually real. But still. I love them and I’m pretty sure you will too so NICKIE . . . Please let us have an Abby and Evan book!

I loved having the chance to watch as Nickie helped Riley and Dustin to grow and see their story develop. A Tattered Love is a tale of angst, secrets, betrayal, and overcoming demons to discover that if you fight hard enough, you will find hope, trust and undeniable love.

Riley Miller has dark past that she didn't have anything to do with, but when where you're from and everyone in the town shames you for your parents transgressions; you do the only thing you can and leave it all behind. that's how she ended up in Cape Cod. This girl has been hit left and right from all sides and I can see why she's so reluctant to have friends or let people in. HELL! Her own sister doesn't want anything to do with her. But, when she makes friends with her neighbors Abby and Evan, and meets Dustin, she has to learn that not all people will let you down. Too bad that some things happen beyond her control and that's exactly what happens.

Dustin is from a rich family, but after so many years of being told what to do, he's just tired of taking what his family says and embarks on living his own life. he has made mistakes from girlfriends who want him just for his looks, to hanging with the wrong crowd because he wants an outlet. When he finally is settled and on the right path, he meets little miss riley and his world is turned upside down. He pursues her and the undeniable feelings he just can't help but have for her. Their relationship starts off fast and doesn't slow down from their either.

Riley and Dustin both know they need to be able to trust each other when they have so many people trying to tear them apart. Dustin continuously messes up though. I wanted to smack him way more than a few times throughout this book, because he wasn't exactly selfish, but he wasn't taking Riley's feeling into consideration. Riley, oh boy, Dustin's mother will stop at nothing to get rid of her. And right when Riley thinks it will all be ok another thing happens that just pisses you off for her all over again.

This book does EVENTUALLY.....lol...give you the HEA your hoping for, but that's not to say you will ever see it coming. Dustin and Riley did deserve what they got though. this story is very imaginable where you can actually see this stuff happening in actual real life.

4.5 STARS!!!

This book was definitely not what I was expecting, but so much better. I loved the alternating Points of View, and how things just were not easy. It wasn't a happy, everything is great, we're in love type of story, but a heartbreaking, hard, life is real story, and it was AWESOME!

We meet Riley and Dustin and there is a spark between them, and things progress, but is that instant attraction all that's needed to make it through all the ups and downs in the relationship? Throughout this book, nothing comes easy for Riley and Dustin, everything that can be thrown at them is, and sometimes you as the reader don't see how they can make it through all of it.

Riley and Dustin both have their secrets in the past, and when they come out (not how they planned on telling each other) you are like WTF just happened here?! But since we get to see both of their points of view in this story, you understand why they didn't open up immediately and how much they struggle with these truths themselves.

Throughout this story the two characters that seem to always be picking up the pieces are Abby and Evan, who are the best friends of Riley and Dustin. I absolutely loved Abby and Evan and wish we all had friends like them. They are awesome, and I fell in love with these characters just as much as Riley and Dustin.

Can true love conquer all, can you move past the tragedies and secrets of the past? A Tattered Love raises these questions and gives readers an experience they won't soon forget!

Riley and Dustin's story was great, the characters had their own struggles, and they had struggles together. I loved how this book was written, it was a fantastic read, and I could not put it down. So add this one to your TBR list and check it out. I loved it!

Wow...what a ride! This couple goes through it all- lust, tension, hurt, lies, ...deceitful in laws.... there was barely any down time for these characters.
Coming from a not so great past Riley tries to move on with her life in Cape cod and start fresh. Guys are far from her mind, all she needs in her great friends, trusty dog and dependable job but all of that is put to the test when she meets Dustin.

Settling down wasn't at the top of Dustin's list after his last girlfriend but setting his eyes of Riley for the first time makes him second guess his decision.

Tension begins to rise between the young couple and before they know it they are wrapped up in new love but love isn't always easy.

They both find fighting for what you want is the price you sometimes have to pay to keep those you love close.

Dustin and Riley was extremely likable characters and the story flowed rather well, but I have to say Abby (the bestfriend) was by far my favorite. She's possibly the best book bestfriend. Abby isn't afraid to stick her nose where it doesn't belong and tell Dustin when to get his shit straight.

This book sucked me right in and kept me devouring it until the end. Seidler has got a "knack" for love stories with enough angst, lust and drama to keep you coming back for more and back for more I shall !! Can't wait to read more for this uprising Author ! So keep em' coming Nickie and awesome work once again !

Riley Millar has left her home town in Delaware and moved to Cape Cod to get away from a road she doesn't want to go down. She moves to a new town where she doesn't know anyone and no-one knows her and her past and starts a fresh.

She gets a job as a waitress and becomes best friends with Abby and her boyfriend Evan. Abby and Riley are as close as sisters, but Abby doesn't even know of her past. One night while at Abby's apartment, Riley meets Dustin and the sparks fly. They cant stay away from each other.

Dustin has secrets of his own and he's not willing to share with anyone yet, not even his best friends Abby and Evan. He does know he cant stay away from Riley.

But someone doesn't like them being together. And starts to threaten Riley telling everyone her secrets. Riley does the only thing she can to keep herself and those she cares about safe, she runs.

I loved this story. The storyline was real and captivated me from the beginning. I couldn't put it down until I had read it. I loved the characters, especially Riley and Abby. Towards the end I found myself wanting to scream at Riley. I love that Riley had some pretty amazing friends. I loved the cover and thought it reflected the book.

Girls, our list is getting bigger with the addition of another hot new book boyfriend in the form of Dustin Boyd. This is to go on the "TBR" list.

I give this 5/5 stars.

I have read a few books by Nickie and she's become another one of my faves.

Riley and Dustin meet through their best friends Abby and Evan and sparks fly instantly. There were so many things against them..mainly his mother. When you find a love worth fighting for, you dont let anything get in your way. I love the friendships they have with Abby and Dustin. Those are true friends who were there for them through everything.

One minute they are happy, next, more drama got between them. Through the ups and downs, secrets are revealed..will they be strong enough to survive? I'm glad Dustin finally stepped up and did what he to do regarding Molly. How does it all end? You have to read it to find out!

There were some other characters that I am curious about...Austin and Galena..Hopefully there could be something in the future for them:)

Another great read from Nickie! add this to your tbr list today :)

This is the first story I have read from Nickie Seidler, I really enjoyed the story and the characters were nice as well.
Riley has moved to Cape Cod to escape from her past where everyone compares her to the deeds her parents have committed. She is fairly happy living with her dog and a few close friends. Then she meets Dustin, and sparks fly between them.
Dustin has his own skeletons in the closet. Will the secrets & lies between these two allow them to carry on in a freshly budding romance?
A Tattered Love was an easy read for me. The only thing that left me confused was that the characters seems to young sounding for the ages that they were, and maybe sometimes Dustin came across a little on the feminine side.
I would recommend this book for fans of Indie authors, romance and drama! Nicjie Seidler adds them all together and it amounts to a really cool story!

Riley Miller moves from Delaware to Cape Cod to get away from her past and to make a fresh start with her life. She meets a really good friend Abby, who I really love. She's the kind of friend everyone can use. She really cares for Riley's and wants what's best for her. Abby's boyfriend Evan is also a really great guy. He happens to have a friend Dustin who's father own the resteraunt that Riley works at. There is instant chemistry between them. They go through a lot of ups and downs. It doesn't help that Dustin's mom hates Riley and thinks she is beneath him. And of course there is always that one girl waiting in the wings to step in and cause trouble because she thinks he should be with her as well as his mother. I'm love a good HEA. I think you will definitely enjoy reading this book. It will keep you on an emotional roller coaster.

I absolutely loved this book. The flow was a bit rough but the characters and plot made up for it. I honestly don't know which couple I was cheering for more Abby and Evan or Riley and Dustin. Dustin's mother and ex were a real piece of work but their parts were a much needed part of the book. I love how Nickie always seems to have a major cause that she themes her books around, this book followed the theme of bullying, which is where the mother and ex come into play. But it was also largely based around family, I loved seeing Riley and her sister come together again.

Nickie is an amazing author and I can't wait to read her next book whatever it may be. I'm hooked!

A Tattered Love by Nickie Seidler has the potential to be a great book, but for me there was something missing. And, what’s frustrating is I can’t quite put my finger on what it is. I mean this book has everything that real life relationships have: miscommunication, hurt, lies, deceit, and someone trying to find their way in this crazy world. Even though I didn’t completely connect with A Tattered Love, it is well-written by Nickie Seidler and I will check out future works by her!

MY RATING: 3.5

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of A Tattered Love in exchange for an honest review.

I really love that book.
A story different than the other, I loved the characters.
Riley and Dustin really love each other.
Dustin's mother, wow!!! a real bitch, wanted to bit the shit out of her LOL
Abby is the best friend, and am not sure a friend like that ever existed.
So thanks to Nickie Seidler for bringing me on an emotional journey, of passion, love and suspense, can't wait to read the next one.
I you haven't read A lucky second chance, the first book from Nicky, do it it is another great story ;)

I loved A Tattered Love with Riley and Dustin's story! They weren't really looking for relationships but decided to go with the flow because their chemistry was just hott!! They both had issues they needed to deal with and share with eachother in order to move forward but was it enough to get through? The book had great characters (Loved Abby and Evan!), drama, love, funniness and hot sex! Loved the ending and it had a great happily ever after!

A Tattered Love is captivating! The love Riley and Dustin share is indescribable. They have to decide if going off feelings, attraction, and love will work when everything else doesn't....
The author does an amazing job creating the drama we all love! Riley and Dustin gets the HEA they deserve! Loved it and cannot wait for more from Nickie!

***Spoiler Alert***

I enjoyed the book. Dustin was sweet. It was up and down from the beginning but ended with a happy ever after. It was nice to see Dustin defend Riley. He was a lush dad & it was clear to see his daughter was his world besides Riley.

sometimes moving on from our past leads us to places we never dreamed. Riley is trying to put past behind her and never look back, Dustin is trying to prove himself as a man who can stand on his own. When they meet it is instant, but in order to find their future they will both have to deal with their pasts.

This is well written, relatable story. I highly recommend it!

Just didn't cut it for me

really had high hopes for this, and my hopes were smashed. the h to me was really bitchy, and I really didn't understand why. what was her deal. I could never figure out how old the characters were, and once I did I was like really because I could have sworn these people were fresh out of JR HIGH. No I don't cannot recommend this.

I enjoyed this book. Great characters that made you wish you were one of them. I thought some of the situations didn't seem natural or realistic however that was easily overlooked considering how much I enjoyed the characters and the novel. Great HEA!
