One hot and humid evening, John Dellmore is invited by his aunt, Amy, to visit her friend at her Charleston, SC estate. Once there, John is witness to Amy's undressing and subjugation at the hand of her friend. Thus begins John's quest to unlock the erotic secrets of his aunt and her circle of friends over the long, hot summer before he has to set off for Harvard in the fall. Along the way, he also gets another kind of education from Aunt Amy.
The first of a series of 14 books, this one kicks everything off in cultured style. Colleton has a droll and genteel voice that suits the story well and the sex scenes are scattered throughout the book, serving the story and not vice versa. John Colleton is a nom de porn for Robert W. Marks, a journalist and lecturer, who didn't start writing smut until he was in his 60's having previously wrote for the New York Times. He also seems to have had some ties to the film industry having interviewed many classic leading ladies from the 40's and 50's. He passed away in Charleston, SC in 1993.
