Ever since her mother left her, Sophia's teenage years have been plagued with another presence that lives inside her–-an angry old hag that freezes everything around her whenever she gets upset or angry. She cannot tell her grandmother or anyone else of the other, even though it can rise up and kill everyone she loves in an instant.

But everything reaches a tipping point when she learns that her boyfriend, Shane, has been spying on her best friend, Callie. It seems that Callie has some secrets of her own--she can control the wind and the waves. Worse still, storm clouds fill her eyes sometimes, and Shane has taken his video of her to the Internet. When Sophia learns of Shane's betrayal, the hag inside her rises up, nearly killing him and exposing her own secret.

Things worsen when she runs to Callie, only to discover that her best friend is a Tempest--a human hurricane--and that an insane goddess is after Callie's family. Sophia is quickly discovered by Andrina...and the hag inside Sophia sees its opportunity for freedom. The other inside her wants to join Andrina and help end the world. If it gets out, Sophia will face her own destruction.

Holly Hook is the author of the Destroyers Series, which consists of five young adult books about teens who are walking disasters...literally. She is also the author of the Rita Morse series, a young adult fantasy series still in progress, and After These Messages, a short ya comedy. Currently she is writing Twisted, a spin-off of the Destroyers Series due out in December. When not writing, she enjoys reading books for teens, especially ya fantasy and paranormal series with a unique twist.

Cold Front Incoming: Bring Emotional Layers.
Just when I thought I had this series figured out, Frostbite hit like a blizzard of betrayal and icy revelations. The emotional depth here surprised me—in the best way. Janelle’s journey gets colder, sharper, and more introspective, and the wintry setting adds a layer of tension that’s both literal and metaphorical. Hook keeps the momentum going while deepening the character arcs. Loved the chill, loved the drama.

I really enjoyed this audio book it had a lot more action than the first three. I enjoyed the returning characters and loved meeting the newer characters. It did bounce back and forth between the groups of characters during certain events that were a little confusing, but in the end, it all came together nicely.

Great 4th installment to the Destroyers series. Janelle continues her fight against Andrina. Leslie and Paul need to come to terms with Leslie being turned into an Outbreaker and all that means. Janelle is trying to make all Tempests safe and when they are evacuating a young tempest named Callie and her family, they accidentally bring along Callie's best friend Sophia. Little did they know, Sophia may not be as human as she appears and no one knows who's side she is on. Thrilling read which will keep the pages turning until the end. I hope there are more books in this series!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This next book in the series of 5 just keeps getting better and better. A book for all ages especially those young at heart. Another story of a teen finding out who she is and having to make the choice of right or wrong battling for her family and friends. Great story and characters that we have come to expect and receive from Ms Holly!

Loved it!!! Absolutely loved it!!! The series is so good, I am always excited to read the next book! You can't help but love all the characters.
