A man sits on a bench in front of his old school remembering the place where one particular day changed his life and those of many others dramatically years earlier.
Interesting short story. Good to see it through the eyes of the shooter without making him subhuman. Most books like this make the person who shoots people out of anger someone who has no emotion and is incapable of regret. It was interesting to show that he was sorry for what he did but did not pretend that he had love for those he killed. Just a real, human emotion.

I enjoyed the twist - the story does make you scratch your head but for me it was so much lost time that you can't recover for two people: saddened me in a small way.
read for school and it was an interesting story but was quite hard to read overall. I think it's a good book to read, a classic as some say, but not one I would instantly recommend to someone
