I have discovered the witch who started this disaster, and her name is Cecile. She is the lock around my husband's heart; she is the barrier between me and everything I ever wanted.

I have decided to fight. For his heart, for my father, for the Jimmy Choos that rest on my perfectly manicured feet. The problem with a fight is that there is ultimately a loser. And in a situation like this, she has the advantage and a clear head start.

But I am here, and she is not. And I have not shared everything. I have some secrets and some advantages of my own. I will fight to the death, if not of my body, than of my heart. And if my heart is destroyed in this battle, I will find a way to survive. Poor planning may not be the final chapter in my story.

"I was always his, and I finally believe that he is fully mine. To have. To hold. Till death. Do us part."

4 Till-Death-Do-Us-Part Stars!

I feel like I'm kind of twisted for loving Nathan Dumont but what can I do? He's simply one of those characters that will hook me no matter how dark and strange they are. In this final novella of The Dumont Diaries, Alessandra Torre gave a gripping and satisfying finale that had me on the edge of my seat.

What I enjoyed most about this part was how Candy stood up for herself and found a way to up her game and secure her future. I also loved the conclusion when it comes to the romance and the whole story itself. It was the ending that I was hoping for. All in all, it was a fantastic, twisted, sexy book. The series was well-written and quickly engaging. A classic Alessandra Torre masterpiece!

★★★★★! The Dumont Diaries, Part 4 of 4. TRUTH – DESIRE – SEDUCTION – WANT – PAIN & CONCLUSION!

My visible review is written to contain less details than book blurb. Please click on spoilers for more details.

“Lust is a dangerous thing. It can make you believe things that are not real. It can seduce your mind and lead it blindfolded to the cliff that will be its demise.”

The Dumont Diaries consists of 4 novellas, which must be read in order:
Part 1: To Have
Part 2: To Hold
Part 3: Till Death
Part 4: Do Us Part

Her salvation from a life as an in-debt stripper has come in the form of a mysterious stranger. As Candy settled into her new lifestyle, she was quickly hit by boredom and loneliness causing her to seek solace… But with the crushing truth, Candy is left desperately wanting the one thing she can never have!

Do Us Part (part 4) has Candy at an impasse. How much more of herself is she willing to risk when only heartache awaits?

photo TorreDumontDiaries1-4HeroinebySueBee_zps1d09f9c8.jpg

Six words to describe Candy: Despondent, desperate, reflective, endearing, lost and flawed.

The hero is a to-die-for enigmatic, rich, jaded playboy, but also cold, distant and rude! And yes I want him too! If you must know more, please click on spoiler:

Part four also ends abruptly, but no worries and we are provided a link and password to a bonus epilogue. For me it was a satisfactory HEA, but I can’t help feeling a bit rushed. As much as I have been crushing on the hero, I very much wanted to read about some... I also might a wished that the truth about…

Excellent storytelling! Interesting and captivating plot! Memorable, fascinating and addictive hero! I am highly recommending this 4-part serial! And yes this series is going on my 6-star shelf! Thanks Ms. Torre!

“She was in a situation that was desperate enough to allow her life to be manipulated.”

"Lust is a dangerous thing. It can make you believe things that are not real. It can seduce your mind and lead it blindfolded to the cliff that will be its demise."

description

Do us Part is the fourth and final book in the Dumont Diaries. From the first page of the first book this story has had me on high alert. As per Alessandra Torre style, I have felt every emotion that the main characters have felt. Every piece of joy, pain, laughter, and passion is clearly expressed through the pages.

"Literally. I can feel my heart expanding, cracking along ridges and junctures, its shell not made to be manipulated, twisted, and toyed with in this manner. It bends, it yields, it cracks. I must do a better job of protecting it. I must push away from this man and focus on what is important."-Candy

At the conclusion of the third book (Till Death), Candy and Nathan are going to try to make their twisted marriage arrangement work. Although Nathan's goal is to win the attention of his ex-fiance Cecile, Candy secretly hopes that she will be able to win him over. If she can sleep with him at night then eventually he will feel her love and in turn love her back.

"He is my husband; maybe it is time to take off the gloves and pull some hair. I am here with him, she is a memory wrapped in abandonment. I have a fighting chance. I just need to time and place my blows."-Candy

When Cecile returns, everything changes. Candy is out and Cecile is in.

"There is no one else in his world, no room for anyone else in his heart. I should have known, should have stopped my heart from skipping down fairytale lane, planting expectations, and hopes, and dreams that will never receive any nourishment."

description

I was truly heartbroken for this heroine. Although she is confident in her sexuality, she lacks security and love. She only has her father to take care of. When even his security is put in jeopardy, Candy does what she can to survive. Despite the heartbreak, she realizes just how much she loves Nathan. He is everywhere and she cannot escape his hold on her.

description”/>

The ending for Do Us Part was full steam ahead. The main characters had to move mountains in order to find their way. As the story was coming to a close, I was truly saddened that I didn't have more left to discover about the "journey to healing" that was in store for the main characters. Therefore, I am especially thankful for the extra scene that Ms. Torre offers her readers. (Make sure you check the Note from the Author at the end of the read). I certainly could have used just a few more pages of these two in the future. Nathan and Candy shared a different kind of love. It was a love that I am so glad I had the opportunity to explore.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this entire series to anyone who enjoys a dark and sexy read. The pacing is steady and the suspense is great. The character development is truly remarkable in the case of the heroine. Candy is such a complex character and so different from the typical female lead. I thoroughly enjoyed being in her head. Nathan is a character that had to earn my respect and adoration. In the end, I believe he did that. If you haven't read an Alessandra Torre book, don't wait another second. Go download your kindle now.. you will be so glad that you did!

The final installment in the Dumont Diaries leaves me speechless...

My time at the Crystal Palace changed me - hardened me into a survivor, shooting steel into parts of me that were previously weak and bendable.
So, even when my heart was falling, free and unrestrained, diving downward into a pool of ridiculousness, my brain knew better. My brain planned for the inevitable, for the disappointment, and the disaster that lay ahead. My brain made sure that there would be a parachute to catch me, to ensure that my weak heat wouldn't doom the rest of me.
What an amazing, emotional ride that was! Alessandra Torre has outdone herself once again! Please take the time to read my review of the full series on GoodReads by clicking HERE!

4.5 Fantastic stars!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

The dramatic conclusion of the story of Nathan Dumont and Candy "Jennifer" Dumont. The series consists of four tiny nouvellas that capture you from literally chapter one and NEVER let you go until it's complete. Why the four tiny books? Strange and unnecessary. I honestly think one book, adding a bit more details making it 400 pages or so would've been ideal. Each book 60 or so pages move along at a fast clip. Not a lot of fluff, or day to day getting to know the characters. I missed that. But the pace is what keeps the reader attached to the story, one book to the next.

So, I started the series with their first encounter in his home a bit like this.....

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I was so excited to get one of those clipped alpha controlling men you can't help but to love. Then I see the real Nathan, get the real scoop of who he is..... in which I started to feel....

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Seriously, Nathan? You disappoint me......

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

And Candy, WHY? Why stay? Oh yah, you're father needs care. Another reason I hated Nathan.....

When we get moving into this book, I'm hopeful we'll get some "Come to Jesus" moment with Nathan and he will see what he's got in Candy.....NOPE. That Cecile moment? Are you kidding me?

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

So, my final thoughts. I'm hiding most under a spoiler and recommend NOT reading the spoiler unless you've also read the book or have zero plans to.

It was a fantastic idea to bring together 4 short stories
To Have
To Hold
Till Death
And finally Do Us Part
I had so many different feelings when I started the last of these short stories Do Us Part
I felt nervous, apprehensive, excited and sad because it was going to be the last one.
And along with the first 3 this story did not disappoint.
We finally see Nathan's plan come into action.
Just when you think you know where this story is going to go...Wham your hit with another twist..
Its hard to write too much without giving anything away so I will leave you with my feelings and thoughts....

This fourth book brings everything full-circle and I spent the better half of the book cringing. When Cecile returns, as planned, Nathan literally drops Candy like a bad habit and kicks her to the curb. This guy is such a douche! How she can still be in love with this guy after he jumps naked from the bed where he left her to go chase down his ex without giving Candy a second thought, is beyond me.

I thought she'd wised up and was kind of proud of her for putting the screws to him when we find out that she'd taken some of the money from the account. Just when I was thinking she had grown a spine and would send him packing, she caves again! Seriously! If he treated Cecile half as bad as he treated Candy, it's no wonder she took him to the cleaners. Maybe, one lady to another, she was just paying it forward.

I lovvvvved this series. If you haven't read it, go and buy the books on amazon so worth the money.

The only thing wrong with this series / books it was WAY to short. About 60pages per book.

The first two books I hated Nathan, like HATED him. But he stepped up and now I like him LOL.

I will def read some more books of this author! <3 it!

Author just commented on my facebook and said: Just published it. it should be live in the next 5-6 hours on amazon and Barnes and noble.

Wow....what a ride!

I literally began each installment like a panting maniac...

description

The writing....fantastic! The flow, the dialogue, the images you are skillfully painted.....being inside of Candy/Jennifer's head. This book had you wondering about everything. What's going on? Who to trust? Who to like? Who's the real Nathan? What's the deal with Drew?

The sex.....well, I mean if I ever run into Nathan...

description

He did and said some things that I will have a hard time looking past and feel like they weren't fully explained, but the guy knew what to do with his equipment and definitely wasn't boring. No basic cable there.....he worked you into the premium package with all the good movie channels.

It's so hard to review this series without spoiling anything. You really do need to go in completely blind and enjoy the rollercoaster for what it is.

The one downfall, and it is now the third I have gone through this month alone, is that the ending was too rushed for me. It could have really used an extra chapter or two to get us from point A to point B, to leave you feeling a little bit more satisfied. It's like finishing a great meal and you're taking your first bite of dessert, ready to round out a great experience......and the next thing you know, you're in the car buckling up your seat belt. Table cleared. Check paid. And you just look around thinking....wait, what?? How did I get here already? I just want to enjoy my dessert!!

description

Also, there were some loose ends not tied up and some questions I have about the endpoint, so I'm hoping there's still more to this somewhere down the line.

What a great series.....and I do believe I would have gone on a rampage if I had to wait for each installment to come out.......I have learned my lesson when it comes to these situations.....Do not buy a ticket for the amusement park until you can go on all the rides.

I've spent a few hours trying to decide how I'm going to write this review and rating, it's not that I didn't love this particular story that I just read , but you could rather say I wasn't in love with this story. A love/hate relationship with it. There was plenty in this story that didn't sit well with me, made me mad, made me think "wtf" just happened here. But I proceeded, with caution, with hope that it would end good. It did. I still want to punch Nathan, maybe a few other things too, maybe lick, maybe kiss, maybe just stare at him, but dang him.......

I'm happy I read this series and I'm glad I went in blind because I wouldn't have had the opportunity to experience how compelling and addictive this writing was if I never gave it a go. Sure I had my moments with nearly all of book, I disliked the hero's actions a lot but good god I couldn't stop reading this, it was like a drug to me - definitely amazing writing by this author. It certainly brought out all my emotions and anxiety to the point of pulling my hair.

You want angst, this is the series for you..

That was me while reading this. Now I know this may look bad but really it isn't. I wanted so many things to happen!

This book was awesome!! This series is awesome!! I loved it but my feelings were all over the place. Honestly, this series is plain and simple AMAZING!!

"I see man.
I need man."

Candy needs Nathan, but she knows and has known from the beginning, Nathan is not hers to have. His heart and soul belong to Cecile. Candy knows she should not feel what she does for Nathan but she does and there is not stopping her feelings.

When things finally fall into place and Nathan agrees to what she wants to finish out their plan, her worst nightmare enters.....Cecile....is back.

Candy leaves...what more can she do...the man she needs is loving someone else.

"He knows that while he was acting, I was sincere. He knows that I am weak and vulnerable, and that he has hurt me. He knows the truth. And I look the fool."

Candy's heart is trying to move on from Nathan. Not really knowing how, she goes thru the motions of life. Until, she sees HIM waiting for her.

Oh man, how to review this without giving anything away… it’s just something you are gonna have to experience for yourself and hopefully I haven’t ruined it for anyone as I went on this crazy ride but I had to share what I felt while I was reading the other novellas. This was truly a journey, all the feelings this book got out of me was draining but in the end rewarding. I may not have liked how they got to the end BUT at least it was a story that never dragged, kept me on my toes, and pissed off and turned on all at the same time.

FIVE STARS

“And if my heart is destroyed in this battle, I will find a way to survive. Poor planning may not be the final chapter in my story.”

This is me after reading this book.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

This series is officially the best mini series I've ever read.
I loved the plot.
I loved the characters.
I loved the angst.
And....
I have to say it out loud... I LOVED CANDY MORE THAN ANY OTHER CHARACTERS IN THIS SERIES.

Those 60 pages of closure is really worth the wait!
I couldn't say more without revealing all the story.
So I just want to say that now I can have my peaceful sleep at night because finally I've read this last installment of the series.

Thank you for writing these books Alessandra Torre.
I've read the extra scenes too and I wish this book was longer...

“So, even when my heart was falling, free and unrestrained, diving downward into a pool of ridiculousness, my brain knew better.”

This series was....

My only complaint.....I WANT more, I NEED more!!!! It was too short!!!

Do Us Part was the conclusion to Nathan and Candy or it is Drew and Candy's story?!?! Hmm.....you're going to have to read to find out!

Let me just say this ended EXACTLY how I wanted it to!

Candy:

Kick ass move you made there with the little transfer! *wink, wink*

Cecile:

Nathan:

First I wanted to.....

Then I wanted to.....

Wow! I LOVED these novellas! Short, but that's what I was looking for today. Definitely got me out of my book funk!

Candy and Nathan's story intrigued me from the get go. I couldn't wait to get to the bottom of everything and I'm super happy the way it ended. I kinda wanted to make up my own mind, but I caved and visited the link at the end of the book to read the last scene on her website. Exactly how I had it pictured.

Will recommend this to anyone wanting a short read with two fucked up lead characters.

'Do Us Part' is the final part to the 'Dumont Diaries' mini series.

What a great ending to a great mini series! There was so much more angst in this one than the others. Definitely one emotional roller coaster with twists & turns.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Candace & Nathan return back from their trip to the Bahamas & are enjoying their blissful marriage until wam bam Cecile returns leaving Candace in total devastation. The rest as they say is history :D. No, but seriously, I don't want to say more. SO PLEASE GO READ! lol.

Overall this was a great final. It was a bit rushed & I would have loved to see them have but Torre left their future to the imagination, so I can't complain.

Here's an extra scene to the ending (which I loved so much!!!). Happy reading everyone! I bow down to you Miss Torre.

How the author fit a 3hr blockbuster movie into a few 60 page novellas, completely boggles my mind??.

This bookworm mistress was blown away by Mrs. Torre's ability to keep me in suspense until the very end.

I really wanted to give Do Us Part 5 stars but my reviews are all about honesty. IMHO, there were 2 scenes missing that I desperately wanted to read about.... NO, NOT SEX so get your mind out of the gutter people <-- wow, I just choked on my own words. Let me clarify. There are NO loose ends in the series, my greedy ass just needed more. I wish I could explain this further but there is NO WAY IN HELL I would ruin the experience for a single reader.

Loved these miniseries!

I read The Girl in 6E a few months ago and this author really caught my attention with her unique style of writing.

Having just finished another series and feeling very depressed I desperately needed something to get me out of the book funk. And then Alessandra Torre and The Dumont Diaries started popping up on my GR feeds. Not wanting to dwell much on my TBR shelves I acted on impulse and 1-Clicked all four books!

Well, let me tell you I am very glad to have trusted my instincts. The Dumont Diaries are a quick, hot and entertaining read with the right amount of suspense and I loved the style of writing, exactly what I needed.

I have highlighted my favorites parts, especially on the third and fourth book but I didn't want to quote any just in case it ruined and spoiled the plot.

I hope you pick these up and enjoy them as much as I did.

I generally don't give more than 2-stars if these four elements are all present in a book:
Cheating. Love Triangle/Rectangle. Unlikable characters. Unromantic.

This series just break my rule and all I can say is

Brilliant

However, how I wished Candy could land a devastating blow to Nathan in the end ! I wanted Nathan to suffer !

This entire series is a wild ride. My emotions have been all over the place. I didn't really know what to expect when starting this series except that I assumed Nathan would be another Christian Gray or Gideon Crossfire. I've come to expect that from books of this genre especially the trilogies. This happens to have 4 books to the series but they are extremely short taking under an hour to read each part.

Candy works as a stripper. She has a sick father who she can't afford to visit and she can't afford his rising medical cost. A rich, controlling client comes into the Crystal Palace where she works to make her an offer she can't refuse. He offers her a contract marriage in exchange for her fathers medical care. The rest is unpredictable and disturbing at times. Both Nathan and Candy/Jennifer were unlikable characters to me until the last book. Even then I had a hard time forgiving their indiscretions. There were things that Nathan did to Candy that were cruel and unforgivable but Candy also brought a lot of that on herself because of the bad decisions she continually made.

This is one of those reads that if I had it to do all over again I probably wouldn't read it. Nathan's cold demeanor and secretive ways reminded me of Aleatha Roming's Tony. The plot was just a lot more complicated in Aleatha's series. This book is a total mindfuck. If you enjoy a ton of sex, cruel treatment, then this is probably a book you will like. For me it was just a bit too much.

Loved every minute of it !!!

This is what "commitment" should be!

Nathan is a man of commitment and integrity ! He stay in his marriage ...no matter what. And he's learned to love his wife !

He knew when he made mistakes and he knew how to asked for forgiveness!

I loved this man ! Loved the story so fucking much!

Nathan once's bind Candy in a fake marriage, for the unreasonable reason to have (he thought) love of his life back.
After torturing marriage and found that he fall for her, he's starting to confused. Did he really loved Cecily, or had he change? Does marriage good for him?

This is what I called a real responsibility, finding love and know how to love your partner in marriage wasn't an easy job, but at the end, it's going to worth it.

Thank you Alessandra Torre for believing in a marriage life, not just love it self.
This is what current society lacking of.
Loved you for that.

This is is beautiful love story, I cried for Candy's sacrifice for her Father and a man she loved. Beautiful.

'I didn't ask for her heart. I didn't ask for her soft eyes, and needy kisses, and expectations. I needed a birthdate.'

Wow. WOw. WOW.
What a great series, the fourth installment did not disappoint. As the terms change a bit in the agreement, Jenny gets a slice of Candy back as she finds she is getting & needing a little bit more of Nathan. But his end-game is still a reality that she has to contend with.

This serial series held so many surprises and ended up being so much more than I expected when I started it. Good things come in small packages. I am still amazed that so much of a story was packed into these four installments.
