When Jenifer Taylor met Aiden O’Connell - the billionaire Vice President of Mornington Vale’s largest financial corporation - she never thought she’d be forced to make a choice between trust and love.
To love is easy. But to trust someone, when your world has been full of one disappointment after another, is not an easy task.
When Aiden is investigated for a serious crime, can Jeni find the strength within to trust in his innocence?
Can you ever genuinely trust in someone, especially if they claim they’re innocent?

Well what do you write about your own book??? Well I guess I give it five stars 1. because I am biased and 2. because I put my heart and soul into Trust Me? The Trust Me? Trilogy. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a copy from Amazon or Smashwords. Just did not feel connected with the characters and storyline seemed so unbelievable and far fetched! They basically met, 1 week later they were officially boyfriend/girlfriend, a few days later they confessed they love each other and can't live without one another??? HUH? The conversations between Jeni and Aiden seemed so insincere, it felt as though they were reading a script rather than talking to one another. I can't put my finger on it, but throughout the book, I constantly shook my head and frowned. Felt like there was no cohesiveness and the story jumped from one scene to another. I read the next book to see how the story continued, but I felt the exact same way -- probably worse!
Trust. When do you give it? When do you want it? How do you choose correctly between the options? Once it is broken, how do you ever feel confident enough to trust again? In her debut novel, K. E. Osborn weaves an intriguing and engrossing tale of one woman's voyage of self discovery as she struggles to trust again.
Escaping a controlling, abusive relationship three years before, Jenifer Taylor has retreated from the dating scene. She no longer trusts herself to have good judgement in regards to men, but an unfortunate accident sets the wheels in motion for an life altering change. Suddenly she finds a man who insists he wants a place in her life: a sweet, kind, generous, and sensitive man. Could she let down the guard around her heart to find love and trust again, or would her past failure keep her an unwilling prisoner?
Captivated by the fiery, sassy woman at the accident, Aiden O'Connell felt the stirrings of something completely different from any woman he had ever known, but he had learned to be wary. Women only saw his money, position, and power, but Jennifer was different. She ignored all the trappings of his life and focused solely on him, but her inability to trust provided a definite barrier between them. Besides, there was a lurking evil in his life that could hurt and destroy them. For the first time ever, he knew this was a challenge he had to win because his heart told him she was The One. Would a slow constant pursuit of her bring him his heart's desire that increased with each passing day, or would the secrets in his life suddenly snatch away all his secret dreams?
I enjoyed the way the story unfolded as Jenifer went from a position of trusting no man with her heart to slowly blossoming in Aiden's love and care. Through his own growth and discovery Aiden realized with her love, he could weather any storm. But evil forces behind the scenes wanted to destroy his life, and by association, hers. The mystery and suspense was always evident in the story creating an edgy backdrop.
I really enjoyed the dialogue, especially the texts messages and emails. The camaraderie between the characters was easy to follow and developed naturally. Although there were a few editing problems and sometimes the writing did not seem to flow smoothly, it did not interfere with the story. Pulled in from the beginning, I found myself eagerly turning the pages as the story unfolded.
After such an tearful, intense cliff hanger, I can't wait to read the next book in this trilogy " Love Me?".
Good Read! I would recommend this book to all readers of romance or suspense!
4/5 stars I was given a copy by the author for an honest review.
I was given an ARC for my honest review and Kim congratulations on your first book you knocked it out of the park. Trust me, the first book in the Trust Me trilogy was great. I totally related to Jeni, klutziness and all. Jeni's crappy morning that included getting rear ended on her way to work turns out to be the the best thing that could have happened to her. If this wouldn't have happened then she wouldn't have met Aiden. He brings in his Ashton Martin for repair at the auto shop Jeni works at in hopes to getting to see her and get to know her. Jeni has major trust issues due to her last bad relationship to whom's name shall not be mentioned. The chemistry and buzz between Jeni and Aiden is undeniable. Love me some Sarah/Chris. I wanted to jump into the book and beat the crap out of Aiden's father Alistair. There were a few scenes that I truly LOL and the birthday party when Sarah meets Chris's mom Mel, I laughed so hard I snorted. The story made me smile, laugh, get mad and gasp....I can't wait for next two books to get more of Aiden/Jennie, Sarah/Chris and find out who framed Aiden and why. What am I talking about you ask... one click it and read away....you won't be disappointed. Again congratulations Kim on your debut.
Jenifer has some serious trust issues. From the moment he ran into her (literally with his car) Aiden has known there was something special about her. Inbetween their budding relationship his family (well his father), an ex he can't get away from, and corporate embezzlement could tear them apart unless Jenifer can Trust him.
I'm totally in love with Adian where can I find one of him? (Shhh don't tell my husband I said that) ;) Great story with an interesting plot line. Loved Sarah and Chrìs's banter it helped lighten up the story so further down the line it didn't seem so dark. It was easy to get into the roles of the characters especially what kind of smart ass remarks I would make to Alastar for Jeni. The story draws you in and doesn't wanna let you go.
Holy Shit! What did I just read? Aiden....Yum.....Hot,Sexy an Rich.Need I say more?Hit me with your Aston Martin any day. This story has a little of everything,Love,Angst, and Mystery.I recommend you read this series. I really liked this story but it does include a cliffy:( I can not wait for the next book......Did you hear me K.E Osborn?I can't wait!
Jeni is working for an auto repair shop and her trust has been badly broken in the past as so she guards herself and her heart with a rod of iron. Then she meets Aiden O'Connell after a minor auto accident and everything changes as they are both pulled together with an undeniable attraction. Aiden is a billionaire vice president of a financial company and a charmer which definitely rings all of the alarm bells for Jeni. Can she trust him? It is not helped by his overbearing father, mysterious incidents and an investigation into embezzlement. Staying by Aiden’s side could destroy her, but leaving him could be the end of them both.
This was a good read at the start but it turned into a great story as it developed and the relationship between Aiden and Jeni developed and as more and more characters were involved. I loved the identity of her flatmate's boyfriend and what Aiden's brother was and did. (trying hard not to give it away). Jeni worried me at the end as she was still being so flaky at a time that Aiden really needed her support. Having read the description of the next book in the series my mind is wondering what the hell is going to happen next. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.
4 Star review Trust Me (The Trust Me #1) by K E Osborn
K.E.Osborn is a relatively new author to me as I have only read one other book from this author. This was a well written story with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. This is Aiden O’Connell and Jenifer Taylor’s story and be warned this ends in a cliff hanger. Form the first moment they met Aiden and Jeni had a connection and I fell hard and fast for Aiden, he is totally swoon worthy. The secondary characters such as Jeni’s roommate Sarah were great and I loved the friendship between them. Jeni has trust issues having recently come out of a long term relationship and when she and Aiden bump into one another the sparks fly. Can Aiden convince Jeni to trust him and give their relationship a chance? I loved the build up in their relationship as Aiden helps Jeni learn to trust again. There was romance and enough suspense to keep me invested. Not only that but there was witty banter and moments where I laughed and cried. Now all I have to do is wait not so patiently for the next book which I believe is called Love Me.
What a good read, a bit of love, friendship, jealous and drama all in one book! A great story that has been written well. The only issue is I need to read the next book to find out what happens to Aiden and Jeni!
This book was good. Aiden and Jeni are amazing characters and their chemistry together is out of this world. I am already dying to read book two to see what happens next.
I loved this story, their chance meeting is magical, and the way he pursues her is so romantic. She has the beginnings of being part of a beautiful family who love and care for her. Aiden's father really does have to change his attitude, asshat! Oh poor Jeni, you will love her and want her to have everything with this gorgeous man. How will she live without her Aiden. I look forward to continuing their journey in Love Me and then in All of Me. I'm glad I found you K E Osborn 5 bright rainbow stars Victoria Ann DeBono
I really enjoyed this book.. It started off as a boy meets girl type of romance but picked up really quick and evolved into more than just your average romance about trusting men. Can I have book 2 Like now?!?! Great book with a Hot, sexy, sweet guy!! Looking for a new book boyfriend.. Check Aiden out!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and finished it quickly. I wished it went on and on, I really enjoyed the plot of this story and can't wait to read the 2nd and 3rd books of this series. I loved all the characters! Great writing style by this author.. descriptive, funny and easy to read.
This isn’t the start of another great and interesting series. The main female has had it rough emotionally. She no longer trusts her instincts or her heart. She meets a guy who is not backing down or taking no for an answer, and who tells her that he wants to be with her and will protect her. He wants her in his life for ever, and to love her. Sit back and enjoy the show, get ready for a great new ride.
Trust Me is book one in the series and I am 150% here for it! I read the original version of this series from K E Osborn years ago and I'm SO glad she decided to rework it and rerelease it! Jeni and Aiden will take you on one heck of a journey... and the ending! THAT ENDING! Will certainly leave you wanting more!
This was a good start to a developing love story with corporate sabotage twist. We’re introduced to Jeni and Aiden after an accident which brings them together. While getting to know each other and each trying to overcome issues from their pasts, Aiden is fighting an unknown entity at his family’s company. One that seems like it’s won at the cliffhanger ending.
This book was great. K.E. Osborn obviously has a great deal of talent and can definitely write a fantastic story. It grabbed my attention from page one and I just couldn’t put the book down. I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting, so I didn’t get much else done...haha!
As usual, I’m not going to give you all a summary of the book. I know that is standard protocol during a book review, but the synopsis is readily available and many other people have already provided great summaries, so you shouldn’t need it. I hope you will forgive this break in tradition.
Anyway, Jeni’s character is awesome on many different levels. She’s feisty, fearsome, and incredibly sweet, but she’s also a real character that is really easy to connect with. Yes, she has some serious trust issues, but I totally understand where they come from. The author also portrays her in a very authentic way that I found refreshing. Jeni’s character did not feel forced at all and she reacted in a believable way to all of the situations presented in the book.
Aiden is a total sweetheart. He’s also incredibly sexy and totally swoon-worthy. He’s one of the few totally “perfect” book boyfriends at there. He’s nurturing, comforting, and very understanding of Jeni’s trust issues. He’s an all-around great person and great boyfriend. I also know from the very beginning that he’s innocent of what he is accused of. There is absolutely no way that he could be guilty...he’s too wonderful and sweet to be guilty. Plus, even though his father is a super douche, he would never hurt him in that way.
Now, as for Alastair...he’s a total twatwaffle/douche. I know that that isn’t a nice thing to say, but it’s the truth. He’s mean, controlling, and a person that I could seriously smack without feeling guilty (I’m not normally a violent person...I swear). I sort of wish the author would just kill him off or something...(I know, that’s not nice either, but he’s just mean....ugh!). He’s not a nice man and you’re not going to like him as a character.
The supporting characters were awesome! Sarah and Chris were well-written, authentic, and their banter totally helped make the dark story seem happier and lighter than it would have without them. I loved reading about them and can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.
Overall, the book is amazing! The writing is wonderful and the story will leave you begging for more. I gave this book five stars. I will go ahead and warn you about the cliffhanger though...there is one and it’s huge, but the second book is already out, so you don’t have to wait long to find out what happens :)
Because this is a really good debut novel by K.E. Osborn and I don't think you will be disappointed with this read.
Jennifer Taylor is your average woman, a plain Jane so to speak. She has serious Trust issues that come from an emotionally abusive and controlling ex and a father who left before she was born. When a normal day starts bad and only gets worse when she is involved in a 3 car pile up, we get to see a sassy, feisty and no holds barred Jeni as she rips shreds off the driver who hit her.
Aiden O'Connell is a hot, caring, loyal guy who works for his fathers finance firm.....He's also the guy that runs into Jeni's car. Aiden feels something instantly for Jeni and when he takes a chance contacting the repair shop she works at, a blossoming relationship quickly ensues.
I loved the witty banter between these two characters. How clumsy and awkward Jeni could be and how Aiden found great entertainment in watching her squirm..... "I don't want anyone but you. You had me at moron." - Aiden
Jeni and Aiden's relationship moves very quickly but you can feel the connection that they have, so while insta love can sometimes annoy me, I thought that K.E. Osborn did a good job of developing their relationship.
With lots of negativity surrounding them from Aiden's completely rude father who you feel like punching, an ex, and a company embezzlement investigation pointing at Aiden, Jeni must face her trust issues and decide if she can in fact completely trust the man she has fallen in love with.
Some of the secondary were great and really added to the storyline. I loved Nana, her relationship with Aiden and how welcoming and loving she was towards Jeni. Sarah (Jeni's best friend and room mate) and her boyfriend Chris also added fun and wit to the story, plus there is a surprising connection with Chris that I didn't expect. As I said earlier Aiden's father is a completely horrible man who I loathed many times throughout the story.
So we are left on a cliff hanger and there are so many things that need to be answered, but lucky for me I only have to wait a few for book 2 to be released.
TRUST ME, this is a really enjoyable, quick read that I definitely recommend.
Jeni is still struggling with the intense relationship/breakup she had with her ex. While on her way to work, she finds herself in a three car accident leaving her angry and emotional. After speaking her mind to the other careless drivers, she continues on her way to work. Thankfully, Jeni is employed as a secretary at an auto body shop where she can get her car fixed quickly. Jeni can hardly believe her eyes when the very man who hit her is in the shop requesting to have his Aston Martin worked on. Now that her anger has subsided, she notices how insanely handsome this man is!
After agreeing to go for dinner with the very persistent Aiden, Jeni finds her clumsy self on the first date of a lifetime. Aiden is definitely one of the “good ones” and instantly charms her. Much to her surprise, Jeni finds herself at ease with him and needing his comfort. Before long, the two are exchanging sweet nothings and in a whirl-wind romance.
It is no secret Aiden has a very demanding and difficult father. Often finding them at odds with each other, Jeni is unsure he will ever accept her in Aiden’s life. When Jeni finds out about an ongoing investigation within the family business, she immediately worries if she can trust her man. Aiden reminds her of his love for her and swears he has nothing to do with the embezzlement case the Feds are looking into. Was the right man charged with the crime? Will Jeni and Aiden’s love be strong enough to overcome all odds? We will have to wait and find out….
I was so pleasantly surprised by the talent this author has. She built believable characters and took the plot places I never saw coming. Jeni was self-conscious and unsure of herself like most women her age are. She had trust issues from a bad relationship that other women will be able to relate to as well. Aiden really is one of the good guys and incredibly sweet. You will swoon for him! I will definitely be reading the next book in the trilogy, Love Me?, since author K.E. Osborn left me hanging at the end. I enjoy a good cliffhanger and getting answers to my questions! I am excited for more of the story! Stay tuned for the next installment in the Trust Me Trilogy.
Trust Me is book one of The Trust Me Trilogy by KE Osborn. Jenifer Taylor thinks of herself as a plain Jane. She starts her day with the expectation of it being the same as every other. Waking up, coffee, driving to her job, where she is a receptionist at an auto repair shop. But chance had other plans. Morning coffee completely ruined and a chain reaction car accident brings her face to face with Aiden O'Connell. But their not so nice encounter leaves Aiden wanting more. Aiden is a handsome, young man working in finance at his fathers firm. Strong willed and amazingly sweet, he wants nothing more than to get to know Jenifer better. But Jenifer has trust issues. Can she let go of those issues and learn to trust again?
This is an incredible love story. One that leaves you anxiously reading and turning pages. What starts out as a chance of fate - turns into one of the most epic of love stories. The sub-characters in this book are some of my favorites to ever have read! Jenifer's best friend Sarah and her boyfriend Chris are both amazingly written. I love how the relationship between Chris and Jenifer build into one of like siblings and looking out for Jenifer's best interest! And the twist that is Chris is absolutely outstanding! I enjoyed the writing style and I am head over hills in love with Aiden. The ending was one of the most startling cliffhangers... ever! I tried to turn more pages and literally turned my kindle over looking for more - then yelled in protest - "Nooooo.... It can not be over!" I don't know how long I have to wait for the next book - but whatever it is - it's entirely too long!
I was given a ARC for a honest review. Trust Me? was a good start to what could be a great trilogy. Overall, I liked the storyline; woman with damaged past rises above and moves on with her life, which is going well until the dashing hero enters and sends her world spinning out off balance. You can never go wrong with this plot. Seriously, what girl doesn't want to be swept off her feet?
I really enjoyed Aiden's character. He was a dream comes true, not only for Jeni, but also for the reader. He is the complete package, smart, handsome and rich. A complete gentleman. From the moment he crashes into Jeni's life I was swooning. He had me at hello. :)
While I enjoyed Aiden's character I did have a hard time connecting to Jeni. In the beginning I liked her. I liked seeing that she had risen above a difficult relationship and was able to move forward. It appeared that she had learned her lessons and was stronger because of them. However, as the story progressed I expected her to continue her path of self discovery and redemption. Instead I felt she slipped back into old habits. The further into the story I went and the more Jeni and Aiden spent time together I felt Jeni began to lose her identity. My hope is the author did this on purpose. I am eagar to see if this was part of the grand scheme of the trilogy.
I am very interested to see what happens next in Love Me?. Fingers crossed Jeni finds herself again and that justice is finally served.
This was an amazing book from the beginning... Everything is described in such detail, I was actually seeing the whole story playing like a movie in my head. :) The characters... where do I begin!! Jenifer Taylor is a lovely girl, down to earth and isn't complicated at all - except for her trust issues which gets tested a great deal in this book. Sarah Carlisle is vibrant and full of life,I enjoyed her as a character, she keeps Chris coming for more. I'm not going to spoil the surprise of who Chris is or where he fits in the story :) Then we have the wonderful, magical Aiden O'Connell. If you dream of a perfect man then you should meet Aiden, he will charm you off your feet - if fictional characters really existed, a few ladies will be having World War 3 now!!
This is a great love story and the basic ingredients of a relationship is given in this book. The most important of all is trust - can Jeni trust Aiden? She always wondered about that... She met his family, she became a part of his life, until the most dreadful thing happened that definitely puts her trust in Aiden on the line. Will she be too vulnerable and get caught up in her previous relationships' trust issues, or will she put her love on the line for Aiden and be victorious? The book ends on a very sad note, which actually made me feel sad and having sympathy for Jeni and what she is going through. Nobody should ever go through something as terrible as that.
I enjoyed reading this book and will definitely recommend it to anyone! I'm starting with the sequal, Love Me? right away. Be sure to read this book, this is a must read for 2014.
I really enjoyed this book from the moment Aiden and Jeni’s worlds crashed together – Literally! I found it hard to put down but alas my kids MADE me put it down at times. The things I love about this kind of book is the chase where Aiden woos Jeni and Jeni trying to decide if she can trust him or not. I love how down to earth Jeni is, her character is very well built and she knows what she wants and is a strong minded person, some of her slang she uses I just had to laugh at! Aiden he is the most perfect guy any girl would be lucky to have kind, gentle, caring and rich, did I mention rich . Their love for each other just grows. Even though Aiden’s Father does not agree with their relationship and is very rude towards her and basically just dismisses her, Aiden comforts her and always confirms his feelings for her. The romance between them is strong and electrifying and I love books where I can feel it as I read it. I did find a few things a bit repetitive but not overly bad. There are a fair few steamy parts of course which K. E Osborn has written extremely well. As the book proceeds it brings suspense where you are just hoping for the best outcome. Be warned K. E. Osborn leaves you hanging! I seriously cannot wait for the next book to come out. I highly recommend this book if you like a good romance and suspense!
*This book was given by the Author in exchange for an honest review*
I loved this book. I was given an ARC before it was even released... and I have been a "slacker" and haven't written my review. And to that I am very sorry K.E. Osborn! I promise to do better for you. You are a fantastic author and I loved reading this story.. and can't wait for it to continue.
I loved the friendship that Jeni has with her roommate Sarah. Sarah is the opposite of Jeni. Sarah has men in her bedroom on a regular basis, Jeni just broke up with a long time boyfriend.. and she has some trust issues in men because of her past relationship. I love how the author adds in humor in the story with the quirky names she comes up with for some of the characters. Jeni walks in the kitchen in a scene and one of Sarah's "guys" is in there.. and Jeni starts to call this "hottie" "Mr. Drop Dead Spunky Milk Stealer" because he uses the last of the milk and she doesn't have any for her coffee. Well because of that.. it starts off this day and it doesn't get any better. The one good thing is she runs into Aiden, or Aiden runs into her. She doesn't know it at the time.. but this is the best thing to happen to her. The relationship between Aiden and Jeni starts off "sweet" but Aiden is a hottie and how can it stay "sweet". It can't. But Jeni still has her "trust issues" and it makes it hard for her to TRUST!
This book has, romance and suspense! I highly recommend reading it, but get ready.. you will want book 2 right away!
We know that Jeni has had a rocky past when it came to men, lying, cheating, out of this world, scum bags :) and that's me putting this lightly lol
She has like any other female that would of gone through what she had, has insecurities about not only herself but her lifestyle, and the opposite sex, she has no trust left to give or receive.
This is obviously before MR SWOON-WORTHY crashes he car into hers and they meet on the off chance on her way to work one morning.
Jeni is currently living with not only her best friend but her sister from another mister, Sarah.
I love Sarah, she's so up-beat, doesn't beat around the bust, straight forward and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. I love her quirkiness, and some of the things she comes out with is hilarious! Clearly had me in stitches whenever a read a scene with her in :)
Aiden (AKA MR H.O.T) instantly feels something when he rams into the back of Jeni, she's different, not your typical female woman, and he WANTS more, no he NEEDS more of her.
We are thrust into a budding romance, that is filled with lust, desire, greed, family feuds and heartache for everyone.
I WILL PRE-WARN YOU THERE IS A CHUFFIN CLIFFHANGER *teehee*
I loved this book, and I would like to give a HUGE thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy for me to review :) <3
Jeni an average girl working in a car repair garage, she's a little bit clumsy and a lot weary of men due to a previous bad boyfriend known as 'he who shall not be named'.
Aiden, works in finance for the family firm. His funny, cute, and sexy along with romantic......
These two unlikely people meet by accident! And I mean by accident a car pile up. What follows is a whirlwind romance, and you should find it hard not to fall for Aiden.
Sarah is Jeni's roommate and I love her, she is so fun and there emails to each another made me laugh out loud as did the boyfriend nicknames. Sarah's boyfriend is cool too and I really enjoyed watching all there relationships develop, especially between Aiden and Chris basically having a pissing contest before bonding.
Love doesn't run easily there's always a hurdle or two, but in this book it's not there love that's a problem, it's a work problem. The end is not that surprising, especially if you've accidentally looked at book description of book 2 while adding it on good reads *slaps own head*. So don't peek!!!
This is part of a triology so does leave you hanging and feeling a little emotional. Book two is out in November, feel free to release early.......
I received an arc of this book for an honest review.
I was given a copy of Trust Me? in exchange for an honest review on behalf of One-Click Chick on facebook ( www.facebook.com/oneclickchick )
Jenifer meets Aiden by accident, like really, he crashes into her and is intrigued by her attitude. He brings his car to her work for repair and they start talking. She has been emotionally damaged from an incident in her past and has ginormous trust issues because of that. Aiden is a wealthy man working in his families finance company. The company ends up being investigated for embezzelment. They fall for each other and trust keeps coming up. The investigation starts to close in on Aiden and Jenifer is asked the ultimate question by Aiden "Do you trust me?" she has to decide if she really does.
I liked the story and the characters. Sometimes the dialog felt a little forced and several times I had to remind myself that they're 28 and not 18 but I did like them. Jeni is sweet and just an all around sweetheart and Aiden is a sweetheart and head over heels for Jeni. The story was great and I definitely want to see what happens next. It does end in a cliffhanger so consider yourself warned.
I would have loved to see more in the development of their love. I hope to see that in book two. Sometimes i felt like I was being told of their feelings and not shown.
All said and done I give the book 4* and I am looking forward to book 2!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. The end has me waiting for the next. It's not really a cliffhanger but you will definitely want to read the next book in the trilogy right away.
Jeni and Aiden meet after a car accident. She is so mad that she doesn't notice how good looking he is but when a phone call comes in to the auto repair shop she works at later that day, she starts watching the clock to see this new customer. She thought he had a great voice on the phone.
Jeni has some serious trust issues she struggles with through the entire book. Aiden tries really hard to prove he loves her and she can trust him.
After a criminal investigation against Aidan, will Jeni decide she can trust him or will she assume he is just like every other person who let her down on life.
I loved the beginning of the book. Getting to see the budding relationship of Aiden and Jeni. The middle dragged a bit for me but the last 30% of the book really sucked me in and made me a total fan of K. E. Osborn. I can't wait to see what happens next with Aiden and Jeni!!
