**Spoilers to follow.**

Fintastic Day at the Beach
The gang's all enjoying a good time at the beach. Fifi sees some cute sea friends in the sand castle she's building. Daniel has fallen asleep with his Shark Tails book and HK gets him to go play with the beach ball in the water. They pick up a shell and a Christmas snowglobe (surprise...? haha). Tippy picks up the shark book. Suddenly HK spots a fin in the water! It's going to get Daniel! Surprise, it's just Tippy.

About Time
One page. I don't care for HK in this art style. There's also minimal color--white, pinks, and beiges. No thanks.
HK visits a flea market and buys a cuckoo clock shaped like a bird. It flies out the window.
Okay...

The Egg
HK and Dear Daniel are exploring. They find a purple egg that has fallen from the nest high up on a cliff. They can't get it back in the nest, so they take it home. Wondering what it could be, they imagine having a big purple dinosaur and riding it through the streets! As they imagine fitting it in the house, feeding it, etc, they get very nervous about this egg... It starts to hatch.... It's a cute bird! Meanwhile, Mama bird returns to the nest and notices her missing egg. She screeches! "The End?"

Treasure!
HK and DD are on a pirate ship. They get to an island, X marks the spot! They take turns digging. Daniel opens the chest and finds... a ship in a bottle? This was all a daydream and Daniel is looking at the ship in a bottle. HK comes in dressed as a pirate with a treasure map! Daniel is pleased she's putting this adventure on for him.

Up
HK is reading a pop-up book. She opens a page and a tree goes up, up, up, up. The tree and the critters we meet in it are done like papercraft, it's quite neat. As Hello Kitty climbs she sees a family of singing bluebirds, squirrels on a playground dropping acorns, owls who wake up for their evening adventures. HK is tired now from all the climbing and sits on a branch. Fireflies come in and carry her to the top of the tree.
I really liked the papercraft stuff, especially the squirrels.

Ghost Story
It's Halloween! After trick-or-treating and a visit to the pumpkin patch, Hello Kitty is judging the costume contest along with Daniel (dressed as a mummy!) and Tracy. They each have different favorites until they agree on the ghost. HK trips over the ghost's sheet and it comes off--it's a skeleton! He is embarrassed but everyone starts clapping. HK offers him a cupcake and he happily accepts.

Surprise!
One page. Again, not a fan of the style or color palette. HK is in her room reading a book. She hears noises from the closet, window... Her friends have been hiding. Then they all come in through her bedroom door. Idk. They have a pillow fight.

To the Rescue
Hello Kitty is a masked, caped superhero! Not a very practical one though, lol. She uproots a tree to save a stuck kitten (but puts the tree back nicely). She uses laser eyes to "help" Fifi with her sculpture. She sees Daniel sad because he wants to mail a letter and the post office is closed. She flies up into space and sees an alien in a saucer (not the same kind as the one she met before). She spins the earth around and around so that it's tomorrow and the Post Office is open and Daniel can mail his letter. Tired, she gets home. A letter comes through the mail slot. It is from Daniel, a drawing of the two of them dressed as superheroes. He comes in with his costume.
Cute, but like I said, totally illogical and impractical, lol.

Masked Ball
One page. HK tries on various ornate costumes at a masquerade shop. She arrives at the ball where Daniel spots her wearing almost the exact outfit he is, just with bows and a wand.

Party Time
Mama and Papa are on their way over with presents for Hello Kitty and Mimmy's birthday. HK and Mimmy are having a party with all their friends. Daniel is DJing. The alien girl is there and has made cupcakes (again with eyes and mouths); apparently she learned how to bake on her own. The Yeti from "First!" in Here We Go! is there too! And a kitty ninja as seen in "Super Spy" and HK's costume from "Ghost Story" (idk if she's a different character?). I'm glad I decided to check if these books had an order! Mama and Papa arrive and are upset about the loud music. Mama takes over the DJ station and Papa starts dancing! He seems to be having a great time. Everyone else starts dancing again.

The end papers from this book are in very bright colors which makes the art style more palatable to me. HK and friends are on the beach with Keroppi and My Melody as Little Twin Stars pour stars down over their heads. It's fun to see other Sanrio characters in the mix.

This was such a darling little book. Inside are short stories about Hello Kitty and her family and friends. I adore Hello Kitty. Obsession is probably a more accurate word for it. When I saw this at my local public library I grabbed it. There is no dialogue in this book. The stories are represented in the lovely pictures. This really is such a cute book. I would definitely recommend this to others. I think that it is probably best for young girls, but I am thirty-two years old and I thought that it was just adorable!

I always love the Hello Kitty mangas. They have next-to-no words, so they are quick reads. But, they get everything across without many words. This is no exception, as Hello Kitty and friends set forth on more adventures, my favorite being Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel being superheroes.

It was just ok. Was looking for some grand Hello Kitty adventures. This was a wordless graphic novel about my favorite icon. I was a little disappointed. There was one cute little segment in the book that I liked.

Another wordless Hello Kitty graphic novel. In these stories, Hello Kitty and her pals have a variety of surprises. An enjoyable little book for Hello Kitty fans, but it was not as good as the two other Hello Kitty graphic novels I have read so far.

I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the other two I've read. While it is still fairly cute and amusing, it lacked some of the creativity and imagination of the other books.
