When I 1st started to read this book, I though it was going to be one of those paranormal romance where the girl fall in love with the coma guy and she help him fine his way back to his body...But I was so caught off guard by this story, is so much more to it...I really like Lyra and Zack characters I was so engross in their story....That I was screaming in my head when it ended because I wanted more...If I highly recommend this book?...Yes, I do 100%..Ms. Mance gave us a new meaning when it came to time travel with a difference twist of time...This book is excellent and is beautifully well written...Can't wait till the next book..I just became a fan of Ms. Lilly Mance and take a journey to the past, present and future...

This is not usually the sort of book I read so I did so with some skepticism. It was very slow to begin with and the numerous grammatical errors did rather distract me. However, it is readable and the story was interesting enough for me to continue reading it. About two-thirds of the way through the book, it became quite riveting and I just had to read it to the end.
I think it would make a great film!

I wouldn't say this was the best story I've ever read but it certainly caught my attention and kept me hooked right to the last page. I agree with other reviewers that the story could do with someone editing it to correct some of the typo's and such, but if you don't let it bog you down this is a good story.
The characters were created well and were very believable in the story, and were in my opinion very likeable. When I started it I thought I had it all planned out in my head how the story would play out, so I was pleasantly surprised when that was not what happened at all. The author took you down the path and let you believe for a while that this was the final destination so easily that I was really pleased she didn't just write the story from my head.
The those last few pages really had me questioning the story long after I had finished it, and I liked that she left me thinking about it.

New Adult is all the rage right now, and paranormal fans seem to be growing in number, also. Well, Mance had this awesome idea of blending the two genres together, and a masterpiece is born. If the inriguing, one-of-a-kind storyline doesn't grab your attention, the well-developed characters surely will. They're the entire reason why the plot thickens in its own time which results in sheer entertainment, and will hold readers interests until we sadly must come to an end. The budding romance between Lyra and Zack will make you swoon, and the several paranormal aspects spotlighted are just added bonuses. An all around great read!

It was definitely different than most YA books. It seemed like it took three drastic turns throughout the plot line. However it did keep me reading for sure. I am not sure if I liked the ending because it is somewhat ambivalent and leaves it open to reader interpretation. I have it four stars because of the different nature of the book.

An intriguing read that could do with some improvement .
I was very excited to win a copy of this book. The synopsis had sparked my interest and I was looking forward to getting started.
It took me a chapter or two to get into this story. At first the main character seemed pretty narrow-minded and unfriendly, but when that got better the story suddenly became very interesting as well. I found myself taking the book with me everywhere I went, so I could find out what would happen to Lyra and Zack.
The whole premise of this book is something I haven't encountered before. I really enjoyed the ghost/timetravel angle and thought most of it was handled very well. I was also grateful for the fact that there was a bit of physics involved. It was explained very clearly, yet it still helped elevated the story from the chick lit-level of the rest of the book.
After a while it became a bit boring, though. The pace suddenly became very slow and while the romance started out pretty interesting, it eventually felt very repetitive and too sugary sweet. When the two love birds find themselves at risk of losing one another or possibly even dying both, it was reminiscent of Twilight pt. 2 (which I found very slow and depressing and did not set a good example for teenage girls at all).
The pace picked up again near the end. Too much, in my opinion. Before I knew it, it was all over and done with. I have to admit I didn't see this particular ending coming, so I can't say it was predictable. However, it did leave me feeling a bit robbed, it could have ended so much better.
The writing style wasn't my cup of tea. I was often annoyed by badly flowing sentences or mistakes. (F.E. "Thought" instead of "though". Or sentences like "I pried my eyes opened." or "Here me out.")
It made me wonder if the author consulted an editor for this edition at all, or even had it proof read. (I see there's an update posted at the top that says "professionally edited: 9/20/2013. So perhaps all those issues have been sorted out for future readers.)
Overall, it was an entertaining read. I recommend it if you're looking for a quick Sci-Fi romance that isn't too nerdy.

The story started off quite good, I enjoyed the characters. Things got a bit off kilter and clunky late in the book, however by then I'd already lost interest and was in a constant state of grinding my teeth over the horrid editing. Or lack of editing, I don't think it's been through an edit. Typos, wrong word usage, missing words, wrong punctuation, and discontinuities abound. They would be on the bus and then walking to the park instead etc. Mop instead of mope was one right at the start, and then constantly through the book instead of the slang yup or yep for yes, yap was used. Very jarring.
This appears to be a newer release, I REALLY encourage the writer to get it edited. It has quite a lot of potential. I would happily redo this rating and review at that time.

This book started out catching my interest, even with the numerous typos. Then, the last half of the book was completely ridiculous and the ending just ticked me off.

I totally enjoyed this! Zack and Lyra's love story is a time travel adventure and altho' I got a little lost in some of the details, it all came together in the end. HEA!

5 Star Book! Coma is a must read!
I myself am in love with this book. It was right up my alley with the paranormal. Although I did not even pay attention to Lyra's best friends because I figured in this sort of book they would kind of get lost in the back-story. The main character Lyra is this adorable role-model teenager whom I can see anyone giving a liking to. She loves her parents, cares deeply about them and her friends, and has this sort of air about her that is endearing to read in books. She feels that her life is not normal, that there are things bigger than her life going on. When she meets Zack, she feels that he is somewhat of a pest. After a little while she feels those feelings of love all over Zack, and what is going on is bigger than just a crush or lust. The adventures they go on, the craziness that ensues in this book shows them both that love conquers all. I loved that this book was not all about what goes on between two people under the sheets. I didn't have to flip pages in order to get past the sex scenes that seem to be popping up all over paranormal romance books. I read many books but thankfully this one I was not able to guess what was about to happen next. I was surprised throughout the book with the twists the author has put in to it. The ending had me a little upset, only for the fact that to me it didn't seem as though it shouldn't have ended like that. Sure, it was happy ever after, but at what costs? Her sanity?
All in all I gave this book 5 stars for the surprises, the heartache, the happiness, and the way the book was written. The characters were all making me wish I had my own set of crazy friends. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.

I'm a fast reader but I read this book in day simply because I had to know what happened!
The love story between Lyra and Zack was engrossing and definitely made me smile a few times.
The characters were well written; I liked Zack and Ethan's personalities and enjoyed how the author brought all the characters together.
The story itself was interesting and clever with a few twists here and there. I was dubious at first as to how the time travel would work but it was well written and not difficult to understand.
The author's description really paints a picture. The detail about the characters and places was vivid and you can really feel the emotions the characters go through.
There are some grammatical errors but you don't really care because the story is too interesting. I loved the time travel, I loved the romance and I'm really glad the ending didn't disappoint.
This book is a refreshing take on the paranormal romance genre and is definitely worth a read.

Occasionally I thought that this book is like a typical teenage love drama (boy and girl meet, fall in love, have some trouble on the way and have a happily ever after), but boy was I wrong...
Okay, I was also right, but in the end when I was feeling like I had finished Martin Eden again. And once upon a time when I was a moody teenage girl I really liked Martin Eden! Thus: All those moody teenagers who like endings, go ahead and enjoy!

2.5 there were some really great parts of this story, and then were some really terrible parts of this story.
The mythology of the story is a really interesting concept. That being said, there are a ton of errors in the manuscript, parts of the story are never resolved, and the ending SUCKED. It made me very unhappy and pretty much undid everything that had been accomplished. Very boo.
