From the author of the action-packed Sam Archer thriller series comes a tense, heart-pounding novella.

In the year 2113, US 101st Airborne Corporal Will Miller regains consciousness inside a transport vessel which has crashed on its journey home. Everyone around him is dead. He has no idea where he is, or who shot him and his squad down.

He soon discovers he’s on one of the moons orbiting Mars, not far from the main colony and his transport back to Earth. Two members of a mining team stationed on the moon come out to investigate. They take Miller back to their base where he manages to send out a call for help.
He has ninety minutes to wait for rescue.

But those ninety minutes are going to feel like a lifetime.

Miller quickly realises that something in the station is wrong.
There seems to be more to this place than meets the eye.
Strange and unsettling events suggest things are not quite as they appear.

As the minutes until his rescue tick by and he begins to finally figure out what is going on, Miller is forced to confront echoes from his past as well as his deepest fears in a situation that is becoming more terrifying by the second.

And he soon learns that some nightmares don’t stop when you wake up.

-Honrosamente previsible.-

Género. Novela corta.

This story is fast-paced and exciting. I like to read myself to sleep at night, and this book was terrible for that! There's not a lot of character development, but it works in this novel because it's really all about the tension, mystery, and action. I was worried at first that the main character would be one of those egotistical, macho types, but it didn't turn out that way at all. He's a skilled military man doing his job. I got distracted at the very beginning when Barber compares the moon to "the American Midwest, or Arizona". Those are two very different landscapes, and it bugged me throughout the whole novel. Aside from that, it was a pretty good story and worth the read.

A great sci -do who done it

A space soldier is up against unimaginable odds after the spacecraft he was on is shot down on a small moon. Surviving the crash is just the beginning of his problems. Sam must outwit an enemy who seems unbeatable while trying to save his teammates. This will grab your attention from beginning to the end. this plot would make a great movie on the big screen.

Horrifying

Exceptional quick read. I flew through this book kicking and screaming. Impossible to put down. I can't say enough about this writing style, descriptive and on point. Darker than the Archer series ( read them all), but just as addictive.

I have read all of Tom Barbers SAM ARCHER series of books was really looking forward to reading this novella by Tom as in my opinion he's one of the best new young thriller writers.

Set on deep space a marine transport ship crashes on a satellite plant of mars with only 3 survivors 2 critically so Will Miller tries to get his injured colleagues back to base on Mars MC1 but when he is picked up by two miners off the planet he soon discovers that something is quite right and it isn't long before Will makes a haunting discovery that threatens to wipe out everything he has ever know.

This is a really entertaining read that leaves your nerves in pieces with every twist and turn of the plot.

One hundred years into the future Earth has created a research colony on Mars. When a US Airborne Transport crashes on Mars there are few survivors, Corporal Will Miller being the least injured. When he and two others are aided by two members of the Mars Colony Will is thankful. He has to wait for 90 minutes to be rescued and what a long 90 minutes it turns out to be as not all is as it seems with the Mars Colony.

An edge of your seat story that keeps you guessing until the end. I liked the story but not as well as Mr. Barber's Sam Archer series. I did like the character of Will Miller.

Solid horror tale ..I am sure I have seen a similar film but the basis is ..Where is the best place to hide yourself?? The answer sometimes in full view...read it and weep..trust nobody..by the time you realise why your spider sense is tingling and you solve the puzzle..it is too late!

Negative

Disliked the gendre of this book...disappointed in Barber. Prefer his murder mysteries like the Archer series...this was just too far out.
