Introducing the Justiss Alliance, an elite team of heroes out to do right. In Wild on You, one untamable SEAL meets a woman who handles the wildest sort of animals—until she herself becomes the hunted. When Rick Yarbrough, aka Risk, a discharged SEAL with a taste for danger, joins the Justiss Alliance, his first assignment seems like a baby-sitting gig: He must guard an out-of-control general’s daughter. Then he meets his charge.
Addie Wunder is no baby. She’s a dedicated animal-rights activist who isn’t above breaking the law if innocent creatures are threatened. But her work has made her a lot of powerful enemies. If she doesn’t stop, she may just turn herself into an endangered species.
Risk’s mission is to keep Addie out of trouble. But as they grow closer, Addie becomes so much more than a job. And the more he has to lose, the more Risk is willing to put his own life on the line—for her cause, her safety, and her sweet-hot embrace.

Wild on You is a fun and light romance suspense with some cheeky humor and sexy banter, but plan on suspending your disbeliefs a bit for this one. This is book one in a new series staring hot and sexy former Navy SEALs who now work for Chase Justiss of The Justiss Alliance security firm.
For comparison, the writing and storyline reminds me a lot of author Christie Craig, who also writes fun over-the-top romance suspense novels with cheeky humor and a good dose of heat. If you like her books, or that format, I'd recommend this series. If you are looking for something along the lines of Troubleshooters by Suzanne Brockmann, this isn't your book.
This is Risk's story. He is a former SEAL and a complete thrill-seeking adrenaline junkie. His first official case is to babysit Addie, a spunky lesbian animal rights activist who has pissed off a legion of groups with her less-than-legal methods to protect animals. Her overbearing, ex-military father hired The Justiss Alliance security firm against her will, and she isn't ready to play by Risk's new rules.
As you can well guess, Addie isn't really a lesbian and the sparks quickly fly between these two. But everything else is true, as she is ruthless in her pursuit of saving animals from terrible (and often fatal) conditions, and will put her own life at risk if necessary. After nearly losing her life to save a young tiger named Tigs, she has no choice but to admit what her father already knew: someone wants her dead.
The story moves at a clip pace and ends with a dramatic life-and-death encounter with the bad guys. It has a good dose of naughty steam as well. This has the insta-lust-to-love formula, but it worked for this type of story. While the dialogue felt a bit forced, and Addie border lined as a TSTL heroine at times, I still enjoyed it.
As I said earlier: this book requires you to suspend your disbeliefs and just go with it. This book isn't big on accuracy or realism, its more farcical and silly. I am not sure I will stay with this series though, it was good but I wasn't blown away.
This is a stand-alone read, but I would recommend you first read Wild Hearts, a short novella that explains the teams suspension from the SEALs program and introduces each of the new characters. This story will re-visit the event that took place in Mexico (but not in much detail), so it is not required, but you will get a much better understanding of the teams dynamic if you read it first.
Quick Summary Rick "Risk" Yarbrough's first assignment with The Justiss Alliance turns out to be a babysitting job...so he thinks. Addie Wunder, an animal rights activist and daughter of a five-star general, has made a few enemies. One of them means her harm so Dad is forcing bodyguard protection on her against her protests.
About Addie She's not completely convinced she's in danger so she doesn't roll out the welcome mat for Risk. Addie's a knockout and she's also very, very good at what she does. Her life is completely devoted to the animals and this attraction she's feeling for the ex-Navy SEAL is an unwanted DIS-traction.
Romance and suspense Despite starting with a bang and ending with a very exciting and tension filled climax, the balance leans more towards romance in this story. Risk has a wicked sense of humor that keeps things lively. Addie's no slouch and matches him quip for quip.
Standout moment There's one scene that will always be memorable and it involves a little public hanky-panky. It was outstanding. You'll have to read it for yourself.
The bottom line I really enjoyed this story despite preferring a bit more suspense. The romance worked even when these two did the denial dance. The characters are appealing and the other Justiss Alliance teammates are a big draw. I'm still in with this series.

Rick Yarbrough, aka Risk, joined The Justiss Alliance and his first mission is babysitting a general's daughter. But Addie Wunder isn't going to be an easy assignment. She is an animal rights activist and has an agenda of her own. Being guarded isn't on it.
The concept was good but the execution didn't work for me. Risk had a one track mind and it should have been on protection. Seriously, he was like a dog in heat and didn't act professional at all. Addie was careless and just didn't work for me. If you can get over those things then the story was alright.
Take one hot and self-confident ex Navy SEAL, add one beautiful, free-spirited and strong-willed woman on a mission to save abused animals at any cost, turn the writing over to Tina Wainscott and you can be guaranteed to be in for some sizzling moments, great dialogue, danger and a wild ride! Wild on You straps you in and glues your eyes to each page as your imagination runs wild!
Risk is a danger junkie, Addie will stop at nothing to save animals who need saving. What Risk thought would be a pretty boring assignment as Addie’s bodyguard is anything but when Addie’s passions put them both in danger. A private hunt club will arrange “special” hunts for a price, and they have hit too close to home when they steal a young, exotic animal out from under Addie’s nose. Addie is going to stop them, expose them and close them down, but who can she trust? This is big money, and money talks, will the good ole boy society be able to stop her? Will Risk be lured into helping her when that adrenaline rush of danger overtakes him or will his perspective be skewed when Addie suddenly becomes more addictive than the thrill of gambling against the odds of life and death? Can they survive the last big hunt at the club?
Wild on You has it all, vivid details of each scene, and there ARE some memorable moments! Tina Wainscott has created characters that are larger than life in their passions, and their strengths. The banter is off the charts full of humor, teasing, taunting and, in the case of the “bad” guys, pure evil. I laughed, I smirked and I got tense as a bow string at full draw as this adventure packed, passion filled tale came down the pipes and glided to a fabulous finish. The first real installment of the Justiss Alliance, after meeting the Alliance in the prequel is going to be a tough act to follow! Tina Wainscott has that whole creative writing thing down to an art!

Wild On You is book one in The Justiss Alliance Series, although I recommend that you read the prequel novella Wild Hearts, just so you get all of the guys back-stories and the reasons they are where they are, before you dip into the full novels.
Rick “Risk” Yarbrough has just recently been discharged from the SEALs, though not by choice and even so, hasn’t lost his sense of adventure. Joining Chase Justiss’s team seems like the perfect set-up for him, only protecting a “Lesbian. Vegetarian. Animal Activist” is not necessarily what he had in mind for his first assignment.
Addie Wunder, is the said “Lesbian. Vegetarian. Animal Activist” he has been assigned to protect, and after pushing her luck one too many times with the wrong kinds of people in the pursuance of animal rights, she has landed herself with a few choice enemies, one of which has his sights set on shutting her and her operation down completely.
I really enjoyed this book in the main, and apart from the novella, this is my first foray into the writing of Tina Wainscott. The story and characters are well thought out, and the writing easy to absorb yourself in. I will be honest and say my initial thoughts on Addie and her gung-ho, “I am going to do whatever I want and screw the consequences” attitude weren’t that great; but she grew on me as the book progressed, and she realized that her actions were having repercussive effects on those that she cared about. You also find out pretty quickly that she is neither lesbian nor a devout vegetarian, and animal rights are pretty much the only thing she really has in her life at the moment.
Risk although a total hottie, and extremely imaginative in the sexy-times department came across as a little sugary sweet for me. I mean this is an ex-SEAL, I was expecting him to have a dirty mouth and a bit more attitude. I loved that we get a bit more interaction with the rest his old SEAL team (Saxby, Julian, Knox & Rath) at points in the book as well, but again the conversation was a tad PG-13 in my opinion.
That-said I still enjoyed Wild On You, and I am definitely looking forward to each and every one of The Justiss Alliance (including Chase hopefully) getting their own stories in the future.

Wild on You is the first full length story in Tina Wainscott's Justiss Alliance series, we have previously met Risk and the other members of his elite SEAL team in the prequel novella Wild Hearts but this gives us a chance to get to know Risk and some of the others a little better. This is such a fun story, one that is full of humour, plenty of action and some great chemistry between the main characters. We get to see Risk starting to settle into life as a civilian and he gets much more than he bargained for in his first job for the Justiss Alliance.
When he finds out his assignment is to protect a young woman Risk thinks it'll be a piece of cake, OK so she has already had attempts made on her life but how many enemies can one girl have? It doesn't take him long to discover that Addie is going to cause him plenty of problems though, a fierce believer in animal rights Addie is willing to go to whatever lengths it takes to protect innocent animals, even if it does mean breaking a few laws to save a life. She has upset plenty of people along the way and has a list of enemies a mile long. Add that to the fact that she isn't willing to spend her time sitting quietly somewhere safe - not when there are animals that still need to be rescued - and Risk has a big task on his hands. It doesn't help that he's having trouble keeping his hands to himself either, everything about Addie draws him in, her lust for life and the way she is so willing to fight for what she believes in leaves him desperate to know if she is as passionate in the bedroom as she is out of it.
Addie is a fabulous heroine, she is the kind of woman who fights for what she believes in. She has strong principles and she stands by them. There were a few times when I found her ridiculously naive around Risk but thankfully their interactions were just so funny that it didn't spoil the story. Risk got his nickname because he is an adrenaline junkie, he lives life in the fast lane and loves adventure. He and Addie tended to feed off of each other as they come up with more and more crazy plans but I felt that their personalities really complimented each other and they were a well matched couple. They have great banter, fabulous chemistry and a believable connection so although their relationship develops quite quickly it didn't seem implausible.
The suspense side of the story was good and I liked the fact that Addie wasn't a completely hopeless damsel in distress, she makes a couple of mistakes but I felt they were understandable ones and she always learns from them and goes on to make more sensible choices. I loved that Risk respected Addie's need to take action and that he took charge of her safety without forcing her to stop living her dream. He was willing to support her in her animal rights activities but insisted on her letting him help her and make sure she was safe while she was doing her thing. Working together they were able to accomplish much more than she would have done alone and she was smart enough to realise that. We get a chance to see some of the other guys from the Justiss Alliance again and I enjoyed the banter between all of the guys, they were obviously a very tight team in the SEALs and that hasn't changed even though they are now out of the military. I'm definitely looking forward to spending more time with the group as the series continues. If you're looking for a fun and fairly light hearted romantic suspense then I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try, I would say it's probably a good idea to read the prequel novella (Wild Hearts) first though because it is a great introduction to the characters and explains exactly why the whole team was forced out of the SEALs.
Risk, s*** that boy has no damn filter on his mouth, "because you're hot and you're my client, and those two facts are a bad combination as far as my profession integrity is concerned. Why did you need to prove that you're straight?" I mean s*** there is no damn filter at all, "let's just say that if I find myself near an available woman who revs my engine, we usually end up together." His smile disappeared. "And you do. Which was why I realized that thinking you went the other way was actually a good idea." And he's such a typical guy, "he shrugged. "Maybe I just liked having a reason to put my hand on your a**." He turned me on woa-baby did he ever, "I'd like to put more than words in your mouth." His fingers squeezed her butt, hoisting her even closer." And Addie the girl is such a demanding thing, "bang me," she ordered, using his earlier vernacular. "Now." At his surprised expression, she added, "please." He grabbed his pants and pulled his wallet out of the back pocket, then extracted a condom. Within seconds, he had it smoothed down over his penis."
I was excited to read this one, I really liked the prequel, loved the premise of the group that the guys were going to work for. So am much as I wanted to like this book I ended up giving this one up and it was all due to Addie. She drove me nuts, is in the TSTL category. Risk wasn't much better, with his need for adrenaline. In the end because of the characters this one wasn't for me. I might check out the next book, not sure yet.
Wild On You is my first read by Tina Wainscott. Risk and Addie's story was a fun read, full of humor, action, suspense, sizzle and totally lovable characters. I look forward to reading more from Tina Wainscott in the future. Wild on You is part of the Justiss Alliance Series but can be read as a stand alone. This is a a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Tina Wainscott knows how to write about true superheroes. In this novel, book 1 in Justice Alliance, she introduces us to some ex-Seal team members who join with Chase Justiss, a man with a mysterious past who is determined to bring justice any way he can. His Justice Alliance is more than a security agency, it's able to take missions the government can't, to get justice for those who need it most. Having married my own super hero ,an ex special ops man, I can appreciate what Me. Wainscott has done with describing the difficulty these unsung heroes, adrenaline addicts to be sure, must go through to adjust to civilian life after the military. Her 5 hunky men perfectly embodied the ex- special ops mentality. The romance is steamy but does not overwhelm the plot. The mission to protect animals and the woman who fights for animal rights figures first and foremost in the story. The panty melting love scenes are just sweetener for page turning adventure. This book was a refreshing escape from the troubles of pandemic and enforced social isolation. Like a visit from good friends, it was an afternoon well spent and brought a smile to my face. Pick up Wild On You and settle in on the couch in front of the fireplace with the hot beverage of your choice. You will love the interlude, I guarantee it!
I have this level of fiction that I sometimes use when I rate a book because I think it's beneficial for a reader to know, in advance, whether a book is true Fiction (possible to happen, but a made up story) or it forks towards Fantasy Land (possible if you stretch your imagination to the point of snapping, but it's a made up story) OR it goes into Candyland (which is just stupid all around). This story, in my opinion, went a bit towards Fantasy Land, but it was very fun to read. You just can't take it too seriously and just go with the flow. The characters have a cute banter going on with a side of steam :) The story really is quite cute and very well written for what it is: over the top, go with the flow, fun romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. It didn't WOW me, but I didn't dislike it and I will certainly be reading the rest of this series soon.

Love the story, however the heroine is really annoying at first. She willy-nilly breaking and entering (to save the animal which is good) but without some sort of backup plan or protection detail. I mean, are you insane or on suicide mission? The hero, Risk is the go to guy that every female in 10 mile radius would love to tame, or not.. He was hire by Addie's (heroine) father to protect her after a threat arise. The plot revolves around saving tiger and conspiracy of Addie old foes who not only try to kill her but Risk as well. The romance btw them also a bit confusing (mixed signals all a round)but the heated tension is there. Not bad but not that memorable either, still a good story by the author.
I really liked this. It was a fun read, funny, hot, and had some suspense. Risk is a Navy SEAL who lost what he loved thanks to a botched assignment. Now he works for Chase as those who go in when the government and such can't provide the justice needed.
Addie is a animal rights woman who wants to protect the animals being abused, neglected, and teach people who to properly care for those animals. Under some death threats, Risk is sent on "babysitting" duty.
The start of this book felt like a cheesy B rated movie, but the hot sex scenes and interesting ending saved it. Risk plays Addie's body guard, when she bites off more than she can chew and makes an enemy who wants to kill her. Saving animals all day takes conviction and Risk is going to do what it takes to save her. Thanks netgalley for a read in exchange for my thoughts!
this book is right up my alley, sexy covert man with daring women. there is plenty of action and little quips to keep it interesting. I will be looking forward to the rest of the series. I am also an animal lover so loved the storyline. knowing this is a series there is just enough development to make want to know the rest of the crew. so I am ready for sax.
Really really enjoyed reading this book. Great imagination. The all the twists and turns to keep things interesting. Can't wait to read more about these guys. Highly recommend reading.
D.N.F. I'm obviously the odd reader out on this one. I just couldn't get into the book, I was bored by both the characters and story-line. I gave up at 35%.
A few things that i am not liking about how this book is written. Numero uno - the first part of the book was about the SEAL team and whole chapters (chapters 3-6) dedicated to each member of the team. Which i find was not necessary as they were not the main characters in this particular book. It was a "good to know but damn i don't need to waste my time" reading it kinda thing.
Secondly - Risk, though he sounded like one hell of a hot guy, did not seem to be that capable since he lost his ward, Addie, twice and landed himself in deep s**t later. Addie's father, the general, was one cool dude though. He did not have a "stick up his ar** reaction" about his daughter and her bodyguard sleeping together. Or the fact that Risk was doing a not too stellar job of protecting his daughter. At this point, let me make myself clear...i still think Risk is pretty hot. And adorable.
Finally, i have had to rescramble by thought processes throughout the book cos some of the scenes just did not flow well together. There will be scenes around the illegal hunters, for example, for a few paragraphs and suddenly, the next paragraph was an entirely different scene with other characters. My money is on the author probably trying to test my power of deduction.
Justiss Alliance #1 Wild on You (Justiss Alliance #1) / Wild Hearts Tina Wainscott
A black ops mission goes sideways due to bad intel and the Seal Team is hung out to dry, one of the six members KIA. The following 5 chapters introduce us to the survivors.
A female author ostensibly writing an action-adventure series about Navy Seals. I doubt most male authors would spend quite so much time drooling over their musclebound character’s six-packs. After the action-packed prequel this turns out to be more sappy romance than adventure series. And in fact the pair do the big nasty at least twice along with a great deal of foreplay.
The narrator takes on a gig acting as an animal right’s activist’s bodyguard.
The point of view switches paragraph to paragraph with no warning.
Risk is a former SEAL. When the mission goes belly up, they are blamed for the mission going fubar. They have been thrown off the SEAL team and now must figure out what they want to do. A man meets them and offers them a job with his security firm. His first assignment is to babysit a woman. Addie is a animal activist and is always getting into trouble. Her father, a retired General, hires the Justiss to protect her after she is almost hit by a car. Now you have two people, neither wants anything permanent but are drawn to each other. Can they save the little tiger and their own lives?
Good story but you have no space between the characters dialogue. That drives me crazy. Sex. Action.
Great story line. Addie’s aim in life was to rescue animals that were being abused with no thought to her own safety. An attempt on her life saw Risk being employed as her undercover bodyguard as her boyfriend. A few close shaves take place resulting in both her and Rusk being caught. Fortunately Seal’s training gets them free but not before a worrying time. They both try to fight their attraction without success. Fast paced story which keeps you interested. The book starts off with a short story of what happened to the Seals to find them in the employ of The Justiss Alliance. A good way of filling in the background.
Addie is an animal advocate who is needing protection from some men who like to hunt rare/exotic animals and Risk is a SEAL who is looking to work for a private security company after a mission goes wrong. When they are paired up and people come after Addie for trying to save a baby tiger it becomes dangerous and their feelings and trust for each other start to build. Loved all the action and suspense in this book and the steamy romance was an added bonus. Highly recommend reading!
This book reminded me of “Tiger King” so much! Addie is a junior Carol Baskin, trying to take down an illegal animal trade which is run by a man who is as devious and fanatical as Joe Exotic.
Risk is a former Navy SEAL so he’s confident, sexy, and in incredible shape. He falls for Addie immediately but knows he shouldn’t sleep with her. Their attraction is undeniable. A lot of stolen kisses and dry humping.
One of the many read during one of my bad-habit-periods of not immediately reviewing books, thus causing me to forget how I really felt about the book.
I enjoyed this story. Addie is a dedicated animal rescuer with a penchant for making people angry. When her safety comes into question, Risk is brought in as her protector. Now he has to figure out how to keep her safe without giving in to his attraction.
Action, dedication, romance, danger, and a need to do what is right always make for great reading! I really enjoyed Risk and Addie’s story … both dedicated to their professions and putting their own desires aside for the greater good.
On one level this is a brutal episode of military service. It is also Risk and Addie taking the reader on a glorious, exciting, emotional and sometimes scary violence filled ride through their story. There is also humour, hurt and friendships that call to the soul.
Addie is an animal lover. She takes care of animals that have been abused. Risk is a seal In disgrace. He has joined The Justice Alliance. He is hired to keep Addie safe. Someone is trying to kill her. Interesting book with lots of action.
