The Arizona Brides #1

An Audacious Spitfire

Rate this book
Bridget Quinn never knew her parents, having been given away at birth. On her eighteenth birthday, she receives a letter from her deceased mother, detailing her shocking parentage. She learns that her father's name is Gerry Quinn. Armed with a small inheritance, Bridget escapes from St. Joseph's Orphan Home with her trusted ten-year-old sidekick, Sawyer Brown.

Together they embark on a wild and unpredictable journey that will lead Bridget straight into the arms of Jesse Owen, who is eager to help her find her father, although his motives are questionable. When the dust settles, a family will be reunited, a couple will be torn apart, and a surprise ending will turn everything on its head, again.

This is the first book in the "Arizona Brides Series", which follows the lives of four plucky young ladies, who find themselves on wild and crazy adventures in the Arizona Territory.

Too short.

This was a very quick read for me. Light and easy. It feels too quick. It's still okay, but I would prefer more "meat" to the story. Flesh out the characters more. I liked the chemistry between Bridget and Jesse, but their relationship didn't have to be rapid-fire. I also would have liked more insight from Jesse. I hope that the next book is better.

Book One in a new series by this author - Carre White.

This follows a young woman just turning 18 and ready to run from the orphanage she's been raised in since she was an infant. She receives a letter on her birthday from a mother she never knew...and thus begins her adventure of finding her roots. Of course, she has to find romance and danger, too!!

Good easy read

I have read several of Ms White's books and have enjoyed them all. They are easy to read and with good story lines. Her romance stories are YA appropriate without being squeaky clean. I very much appreciate the strong female characters she writes about.
