Amy on muiden kloonien lailla menettämässä supervoimansa. Hänelle avautuu mahdollisuus aivan uudenlaiseen elämään ilman salailua ja ainaista pelkoa paljastumisesta. Amyn on kuitenkin vaikea sopeutua tavallisen tytön rooliin. Kuten kaikki teinit Amy joutuu siis miettimään, kuka ja mitä hän haluaa olla, ja millaisen tulevaisuuden hän toivoo itselleen.
I was born in New Britain, Connecticut, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I also spent a year (5th grade) in Montgomery, Alabama, and a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan(8th grade). As a child, I always wanted to be a writer, but I had lots of other ambitions too. I wanted to be a teacher, a librarian, a movie star, the president of the United States, and a ballerina.
I didn't achieve all my goals. I never became a movie star, the president of the U.S., or a ballerina. But I've been a teacher and a librarian and most of all, a writer. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always kept a diary. I wrote poems, stories, plays, songs and lots of letters. Writing wasn't easy for me, but it felt natural and right.
I've always read a lot, too. I was an English major at Emory University (I love Shakespeare), and I also received a master's degree in library science at Emory. I earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Chicago, and I taught children's and teen literature at St. John's University in New York for over 20 years. Now, I'm a full-time writer, living in Paris, France - the most beautiful city in the world.
I've read this series awhile ago (about 10 years back) so I can't remember all the details but if I'm not mistaken, she ends up flying at the end. WTF moment there that ruined the entire series.

completely bonkers ending to the story but really, what else could it have been? i’ve enjoyed my time with replica so much but might take another 15 years’ break before the next time..
I remember reading this series of books when I was in primary school. I didnt read all of it though as I skip some because I couldnt find some of the volume in the library. Good fantasy book for kids as it was easy to read and understand.
Just like other recent books in the series, this finale of Replica left me with some conflicting thoughts, some good, some bad.
In the aftermath of toppling the Organization, Amy and her allies resume life as normal. Only it's not so normal. Amy's abilities are fading away, and when other Amy's and Andy verify they are experiencing it too, she is determined to get to the bottom of things.
What I think worked best in this novel was the characterization of Amy. Finally we get a book where her thoughts don't seem so juvenile. There is more of an existential crisis Amy is going through given the synopsis. Being extraordinary is all she's known, and without that she doesn't know who she is anymore. This was very believable.
Despite this, I feel that Tasha's character confirmed some things that made me see her in a more negative light, and I think maybe the other Amy's and Andy's accepted their new fate too easily. It was kind of hard to believe that Amy 7 is the only one questioning her identity and how to move forward.
I'm still on the fence on whether I believe this book was needed after what happened in #23. We did get a feeling of conclusion in this and I actually really liked the ending (no spoilers!) because I didn't think it would go in that direction. If you've gotten through this many of the novels, you might as well finish what you started, but will you feel great about the series afterwards? I feel most people will have some mixed emotions.
Fun series, a little disappointing overall, but nonetheless fun.
I read this book when I was between 11 and 12 I believe, I then promptly forgot about it until someone was selling half of the series as used books on Facebook so I was like: "eh lemme pick them up for nostalgia's sake" - I don't really mind the rest of them - I've clearly outgrown them so they are not my cup of tea anymore but- I remember hating this last one when I was younger, I hated this last one now. It's way too short, the story is a mess- Amy and the other Amys and Andys lost their abilities, she isn't happy about it so she goes to this one dude from previous books that is evil and he gets her back her abilities and she becomes like a Superman and learns how to fly by the end of the book - the rest of the books could maybe feel realistic if you squint really hard- but that part totally ruined the series for me. That and how passive everyone was- they try to tell her that no, she should be normal like them - every other Amy and Andy enjoys being normal and not having special abilities so she should too - when she decides to do it Tasha is the only one that does something - she tells Devon who attempts to stop Amy.... by talking her out of it after it's already too late. And she leaves home at 15 to be a Superwoman - I thought that she was older but no- a stupid horrible ending to a decent enough series with a bunch of super short books you can devour in an hour or so - maybe less if you are a fast reader.
I thought Amy not having her powers anymore and adjusting to being ‘normal’ was a cool mirror of the first book, when she was going through a phase of discovering her abilities.
Spoilers: The overall resolution of the series, though, is pretty wild. I was pleasantly surprised by her not ending up with any of the boys on her radar, and picking an unconventional path for herself, but it’s still kinda out there.
As the last book in the series, this felt like a rushed and unimaginative ending. The ability Amy gains at the end makes the whole series seem ridiculous. And everything was resolved much too easily—more easily than usual in this series. I feel like the author wanted a big, memorable ending but executed it poorly… and went overboard. In a way, it was an over-the-top yet lazily written ending. I definitely expected something better.
Hmm. I don't know how I feel about this ending (which I thankfully couldn't remember.) It's a very lonely ending, and I don't know that it necessarily was foreshadowed or entirely in line with Amy's character. I dunno. It felt like the series needed a conclusion and this was the idea that came up.
No olipa vähän tyhmä lopetus.

So it turns out that there is another Replica series calles The Plague Trilogy that I didn't find, which is why I have been so confused by a couple of references to other things that happened to Amy that I don't remember reading about. This is a series that doesn't make sense and I want to hate it but I don't, it was just so fun to read I can't stop 😂
