I read the whole book in a day, just couldn't put it down. It definitely should be made into a movie.

It's a good mystery which crosses several genres. It's sort of a story of a few months in the life of a famous middle-aged American couple, who go to Scotland for a few months for the husband to write and for the wife to have a break from her acting career.

It's written from the husband's point-of-view, and is an enjoyable and satisfying book for both men and women, and for anyone who likes Scotland.

I came to this book bY an odd route. I was watching a music video with Roger Whittaker, and one of the background musicians did an amazing guitar solo. I thought, "WHO is THAT?" I must have watched it 100 times. It was a bit difficult to find out who he was, but I found it was Brian Russell, who I'd never heard of. I read that he was married to Cheryl Ladd and looked for what else he had done. This is how I found he had written this book. I ordered it because he'd impressed me so much with his guitar-playing, and I wanted to know what he'd have to say in a novel!

I'm very glad I ordered it. It was a fantastic read.

5 Stars for Brian Russell's SCRIBE!

As the host of The Indie Books Show on BlogTalkRadio, I was contacted about having Brian Russell on my show. His name wasn't familiar, but that's normal, as I often interview unknown (or unknown to me) authors. It's the nature of the show. Then I found out that Brian was married to actress Cheryl Ladd and I became a bit more interested. Little did I know that Brian had quite a few accomplishments of his own to claim in the entertainment industry. I was sent an e-book copy of the book and started reading within a few days. I must say that for a first novel, this book is absolutely amazing. I was hooked within just a few pages and I didn't want to put the book down. Before long, I was beginning to get the feeling that I count as the mark of a great book...I didn't want it to end. This book was a heck of a ride and a thrilling read.

A seemingly perfect couple is pulled into a situation that ultimately puts them and their relationship through the ringer. There is mystery, intrigue, good and evil, but in the end it's about the power of love. I don't often re-read books, this one may be an exception for me. During my interview I found out that not only is a sequel being written, but there is a good chance that it will also be made into a TV mini-series. I, for one, can't wait.

A friend loaned it to me to read. I did like it. I thought it did have some slower parts but generally moved at a good pace. I guessed the bad guy but I'm good at that anyways. I was slightly disappointed in the very end of the book but that's me. Overall good book
