Farm Peekaboo!: Touch-and-Feel and Lift-the-Flap

Rate this book
Perfect for the child who loves friendly farm animals, this interactive book features bold pop-ups that make stuffed animal versions of a cow, pig, dog, and more suddenly appear on the pages when the flaps are lifted. With fun surprises on every page, Farm Peekaboo! enhances the reading experience and builds an early learning foundation. As young children explore the spreads, they will learn to recognize, name, and describe different objects. DK's Peekaboo! series makes the most of the interactive game that babies love to play with big, bold flaps that reveal adorable babies, toys, animals, and more. Touch-and-feel elements add to the fun. Aiding in the development of memory and thinking and sensory skills, this series will teach toddlers how to recognize, name, and explore different objects.

Dear Goodreads staff,
This book is obviously titled "Farm Peekaboo," not "Peekaboo Farm." Wake up!

If you are looking for a book with different animals hidden behind ordinary objects, and textures for each animal, look no further. This book packs a lot into twelve pages. And, in a nod to the traditions of board books, all of the animals go to bed on the very last page. (They actually go to the Bedtime Barn.)

Because of the loose plot, the book may also be read in reverse order. Hmm...I just changed my review to five stars!

I'm learning that great Lit for an almost 2 yr. old is:

1. Can you make a game out of reading it?

2. Or is the book almost a toy in itself?

In other words =
This book is Great Lit.
You get to lift a flap and shout "Peekaboo!" at the animal hiding behind it. When you're almost 2, this is very satisfying.

The perfect combination of touch-and-feel and lift-the-(hard/not paper)flaps. Sturdy enough for Amelia to play with on her own, she loves to look through these books.

A fun touch and feel and lift the flap book with fun pictures of babies for little ones to look at. One of my kids least favorite of this set but still very fun.
