“I’ll take on Balor—I’ve resigned myself to that fate—but I can’t take these girls anymore.”
“So, just to clarify: Most evil faery known to all of faery-dome—no problem. A bunch of snide and petty girls—that you’re not up to?”
“Bingo.”
“Seriously, cushla macree, we need to have a discussion about your ranking system.”

Maggie O’Neill had a rough junior year…

She fell in love with Simon.

She found out Simon was a faery.

She hung out with her dead ancestors.

She was stalked by an evil faery.

…but that was nothing compared to what’s in store for senior year. She’s the new girl at faery boarding school and is subjected to something she never thought she’d have to deal with in her entire life—mean girls. To make matters worse, she’s seeing less and less of Simon, her faery guard is smothering her in their efforts to protect her, and the evil faery is still stalking her, determined to kill her before she can kill him. She starts to wonder if she’ll make it to graduation. Then the unthinkable happens and she wonders if she’ll be able to survive even one more day.

I love when Indie books turn out to be really wonderful....and leave me scrambling to buy the next book in the series. The boarding school theme is a guilty pleasure for me because without adult supervision, the characters have more opportunity to screw up epically and that means a wild ride of a read. And Maggie doesn't disappoint. She tries to do the right thing, but she keeps making mistakes and her mistakes have dangerous and monumental consequences. I loved how her relationship with Simon progressed in this book, it was sweet and perfect. My last thought....those last few paragraphs of the book? WHY Jill Daugherty? Oh....I thought you broke my heart in Chapter 30....but now it's kind of shattered. I hope it can be repaired.

A great second book. Can't wait for the next book to see what happens with Maggie, Simon and Ian. But a love triangle better not be part of the plot!

I had to read this immediately after finishing Courage and Other Demons. it was great to learn more about the characters particularly Simon, though not all of his revelations were completely shocking to me. I loved where things are going with Maggie and her 'skills'. This book also had it's heartbreaking moments but I'm hoping for lots of resolution in the next installment!

This book is amazing! I've read this one, and the first multiple times. I loved getting to know more about Simon, it was great. I'm excited to see what happens between Simon, Maggie, & Ian.. But I'm not sure what to think about the possibility of the whole "love triangle" thing. Each time I read this book, I love it even more. This book is heartbreaking, exciting, action packed. I loved how much Maggie evolved from the first book. Such a huge transformation. It's definitely one of THE best books I've ever read.

Once again Jill Daugherty did not disappoint. Abandoned Courage takes you across the ocean to Simon's homeland. School there is not as fun and carefree as Denver. More adventure more trouble takes you right to the brink and leaves you anticipating the next installment of Maggie and Simon. Great follow-up to Courage and Other Demons.

I loved this book...such a fun story! A few tears in this one (maybe more than a few). The worst part is that I didn't have the next book waiting for me to read it. Then the 3rd came out...and I was happy again! Don't stop cranking these books out!

I didn't think I would like this one more than the first, but I did. It is just so intense. Does anyone know when the 3rd one is coming out?

I loved this book! I love how the story wrapped the locations and gave me a sense of home. I even enjoyed the sibling relationship!
