Marion had screwed up. Royally. And on multiple levels. She'd let her heart rule her head, and it was about to cost her either her club, or her friendship with Grayson. Possibly both. What kind of Domme was she, anyway? She couldn't even control her stupid feelings enough to do the right thing. She deserved to lose him. Better that than watch him kneel at someone else's feet.

But she'd be damned if she wasn't going to teach him true submission before it all ended.

Grayson Jones has secrets. Secrets that could humiliate him, oust him from the world he'd always known, and worse. They were secrets that could lose him his best friend and woman of his dreams, Marion McKellan.

He'd wanted her for years. Trouble was, he wanted her on all levels. But he couldn't risk it - she'd laugh in his face at best, run screaming from the room at worst. Unfortunately, there's no cure for kink.

When Marion shows up at his birthday party dressed as a page from his darkest fantasies, however, Grayson realizes there might just be no need for a cure.

This took forever to set the relationship up. I stopped at 44% and still they had barely started anything, even though the entire book up to that point took place in a single evening with her dressing up for him. There was some hint of wrongdoing that was not yet made clear. Just the whole book annoyed the heck out of me.

I'm picky about erotica. Most of what I've read is the literary equivalent of the delivery boy being ambushed by the horny coed. So when I find something smoking hot and with a story, I shout from the rooftops. Especially when it involves a Domme.

Marion and Grayson have had a thing for each other for years, but circumstances (and their insecurities) have kept them in the 'friends zone'. When the situation changes, Marion is going to Grayson, who exactly is the 'top' of their relationship. But like everything in life, sometimes what you think is top can be a lot of fun from the bottom.

Now, if you're expecting sex from page one, this isn't the romantica for you and this story is an erotic romance as opposed to just erotica. There is a lot of setup and introductions so that you get to know what is making this characters tick before they get to the wild monkey sex. And boy do they!

I'm not a fan of marathon sex. But in this case, it worked because we spent so much time getting to know the characters that when they finally do get together, the marathon (and it's not repetitive) just works. I really think it has some of the best sex scenes I've read in a while.

Now, I know readers tend to shy away from Dommes, preferring the male to be the 'top' when it comes to sex, but frankly this works because Grayson is no timid submissive and things aren't always what they seem.

If I have one complaint, it's that this is a novella and I wanted more. But on the other hand, wanting more is always a good thing. Recommended for romantica readers looking for smexy times with substance.

Dressed up as Bettie Page for Halloween is a perfect outfit for Marion, a dominant in an exclusive private BDSM club. She's part owner of the club and attending one of her best friend's birthday party. This costume birthday bash combined with Halloween is the best time for Marion to confront Grayson. Grayson is a submissive male who doesn't know about Marion's business activities.

Ms. Denham is a new to me author. Her story is captivating with interesting characters. The BDSM is very light which is why it's been categorized as SugarKink. The exclusive members-only club for the wealthy also earns the GlitterKink badge. Boy is this an enjoyable sweet femdom book with a twist for a switch. This is easily a Gateway to BDSM book, especially for kinky readers who are trying out femdom to see if it is their kink. Ms. Denham pens a lovely erotic romance where friends turn into lovers. Her writing style is smooth and easy to follow. It's a pleasure to read this smexy book. This book is the start of the series and promising to deliver more complicated relationship and perhaps more kinky sex. She's an author to watch. This erotic romance is recommended to femdom lovers who also enjoy switching.
