Check out the third installmentl to Amelia the Level Zero Hero! It is a fun, action-packed LitRPG Isekai Adventure, and was one of the fastest growing novels of all time on RoyalRoad with millions of views. Now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
I wanted to give a critical review and rating while mantaining that the book is generally decent. Unfortunately amazon doesn't offer a good middle ground in their rating system. ---
Maybe I'm biased. Maybe this author just isn't for me, and I should stop reading their books. But I was somewhat dissapointed and felt that a good chunk of this book was a waste.
There was a lot of page space filled with overly expressing and explaining character's thoughts and past. To the the point that it felt like a lot of semi-substantive filler. It feels like this book could easily be written with a quarter of the word count and be more satisfying.
I don't fully understand it myself, though. So if you read my review try to get the gist rather than the literal critiques. "Read between the lines."
Amelia the Level 0 Hero book 3 is of course the third book in this series, and while there's not a whole lot of character development in this one, there is quite a bit of political intrigue. Amelia gets a new cook to help in her restaurant, and of course, Bucky is his ever present menacing self. The bees decide on plans of their own, and of course, Jax does his typical you must fight me nonsense. It all rolls up to make an interesting story, so if you've read the rest of them, there's no reason not to add this one to your read list as well.
This book did very little to advance the story and added little to the overall characters. Noele’s one change is the only thing of note in the entire (very short novella) book. This entire entry could have been wrapped up as a chapter (at most) in the last book. Hopefully the rest of the story improves and isn’t a waste of time. The bees were the most interesting thing in this book, and they were locked in a magical box for most of it.
So I hate to give this such a low rating because I loved the previous two books and I'm a big fan of Salvos but genuinely nothing happened for most of thia book. Amelia continues to run Bucky's after saving Evan, she leaves for a while day that's basically it for her story. Noelle has a bit more action but even that was only a few pages. It just feels like so much filler.
Man, I love this series so much. The characters all have so much sass and Amelia is the definition of just do you. I enjoyed this installment so much, I’m just shocked at how quickly I finished it. Like I barely felt like any time had passed. Amazing. Always looking forwards for the next one.
Yeh, this is more of the same - in a good way. Amelia goes all in with her restaurant, trying to make it a success. Noele continues to get stronger than her levels would indicate. And things just get more ridiculous at Bucky's.
So.... If you enjoyed the previous books in the series, uphold enjoy this one. I'm looking forward to the next!
I really don't like the book following a bunch of different people, but I understand that there won't really be a story if Amelia just one shots everything (there can, but I don't think the author might pull if off).
Got annoying when the Noble Spellsword gets a POV.
Absolutely great storytelling, but the errors (especially where entire sentences are out of order) are very jarring. Especially when they're found in the middle of an sequence or important pieces of dialogue.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book and series is definitely worth checking out.
Just like the other two books, I’m just not a big fan of this series compared to the salvos series (but I bought all the books before reading the first). I just don’t care for the side characters and there’s not enough time spent with Amelia
