Nobuyuki Fukumoto (福本伸行Fukumoto Nobuyuki) is a Japanese manga artist well known throughout the Far East for his unique and original gambling ideas, deep psychological analysis of characters and distinct artstyle. Yakuza and gambling are recurring themes in his manga. In English speaking countries, he is known best as the author of Akagi, a mahjong-related manga. In 1998, he won the Kodansha Manga Award for Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji. An onomatopoeia "zawa" (ざわ…), meaning an uneasy atmosphere, appears frequently in his comics and is considered Fukumoto's trademark. In June 2010, he visited Finland as a guest of honor for Desucon.
I love mahjong that’s why I really wanted to read this manga. The protagonist named Akagi he is totally abnormal person. He loves the fear which may lead him die. In terms of gambling, it may essential things to beat opponent up because it makes people’s mental be really strong. It’s gonna be legendary.

in complete honesty im start at chapter 66 bc I already watched the anime ….. considering there’s around 240 more chapters after that one though I feel like I’m allowed to classify this as a full read
De la hiperfijación del Riichi mahjong acabé de rebote descubriendo que uno de mis mangakas favoritos había sacado uno sobre Riichi mahjong y parece que se va a convertir junto a One Piece y Kaiji en mi manga favorito
Not as good as Kaiji, but still a compelling and suspenseful take on gambling addiction with your life at stake. Drags on a little, some scenarios seem over the top, and the main character is too smart and "badass" to ever think he would lose, which really takes the edge off of this one.
