Games #4

Bedroom Games

Rate this book
Kandis Thornton isn’t afraid to lie, scheme, and sneak her way to the grand prize money on the Reality TV show, House Guests. That prize money is the only thing keeping her mother from losing her house (and thus moving in with Kandis). She needs that money, and if she has to step on a few people to do so? She’ll do it. House Guests is a show all about outplaying your house-mates, after all, and she’s not there to make friends.

But Kandis didn’t count on the fact that someone else was going to be playing just as hard as her. And she didn’t plan on teaming up with her nemesis, or scheming their way to the top. Nor did she plan on sleeping with him.

But these things just happen when you’re stuck in a ridiculous house with nothing but time on your hands and a hot guy sharing your bedroom…

This is a pen name for Jill Myles.

Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.

After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.

A nice story for in-between! So, Brodie we've already met in the second book and his slightly antagonistic vibe continues on for at least the first 1/3 of this story. Kandis is new, and I instantly felt sympathetic towards her because of her determination and her will to win above all else caused by her altruistic motives towards her mother. The strong female presence did make it better also, because she seemed like a woman that didn't need a man but rather wanted one at the end of the book. I really liked the story, but I just felt like this was something I've read over and over again, and at the end of the day that is the main reason why I didn't give this a higher rating. It was still a fun read, but it didn't touch me emotionally and I felt like the game-concept and the sexy scenes were the only thing I got out of this novel, which frankly wasn't enough. It is a fun and carefree book for in-between and if you're looking for some light reading, this is definitely it.

Bedroom Games was hands down one of my favorites in the Games series so far. I ended up reading this one on a long plane ride (16 hours, ahhhhh!) and it was the perfect book for the situation. Light and fun this book doesn't require a huge amount of attention and it's super easy to get sucked into, making it the perfect book for a distracting atmosphere.

Even though this novel didn't take place in an exotic location the power challenges completely made up for it, were entertaining to read, and added a level of excitement that I missed in the last book. Though the challenges could be a little gross they added a little suspense to the story and I loved watching the characters react to each challenge. From bugs, to gross food, and everything in between there was hardly a dull moment when a challenge was going on.

I absolutely loved the character dynamics in this novel. From secret alliances, back stabbing, lying, cheating, and everything else in between there was plenty of drama to keep me entertained to the very end. Kandis wasn't afraid to use everything she had to lie and backstab her way to the top and I loved watching her set up her opponents and then bring them down, all while nobody was any the wiser. Though she was a little manipulative on the outside her intentions were good and I loved seeing the sweet side of her character when she was with Brodie.

Seeing Brodie again was one of my favorite parts of the series. In Playing Games he drove me absolutely insane but I liked seeing him from a new set of eyes and I'm glad he got his happy ending. The romance between him and Kandis can be described as nothing other than hot, and I loved every moment of their steamy romance. Even though their romance was hugely physical I could still feel the connection between them and I loved watching it develop from hate to love.

One of the best series in contemporary romance I can't recommend the Games series enough! Funny, original, and romantic this series has it all. Anyone looking for a fun contemporary romance series need look no further!

this book's hero was a side character in the previous book and a lead couple of that book appeared here too..but I couldn't remember much of their story...I think I mixed it up with another story revolving around Amazing Race inspiration Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans..in the end, I stopped trying and just dived into this one..
another quick, fun, and enjoyable read...

if you like Amazing Race, Survivor, and those types of reality shows definitely check this series out...
I also like how we never know who will win the show..

Brodie pissed me off on book 2 because how he behaved and being a heartless brother to Katy, but this book proves that Brodie is just playing games, no hard feelings or sort of. And I'm not gonna say that I'm a fan of Kandis. I mean, despite how desperate she really wants to win, she's just playing safe. Not admire how she plays the games, but gotta admire she still decides what's best for someone she loves despite her hurt feelings.

You know that conspiracy theory saying that every reality shows were planned for years before it could be aired? So that everyone got so caught up in watching it that they forgot to live their lives? I completely buy it.

Like seriously, I've been obsessed with reality shows since I was a zygote. It's embarrassing, but I probably spent as much time watching those shows as I spent reading. It's worse when it was some kind of competition. I watched American, Korean, Indonesian shows; magic, cooking, singing, crafting, eating, modeling shows. In short: almost every competitive reality shows.

So when my ex-roommate sent me a message about this book, I immediately bought it.

So this book tells a story about a girl named Kandis who participated in a show called House Guests. HG is basically a show with a concept of house survival like Big Brother or Penghuni Terakhir. In fact it was very similar to Big Brother with only a little bit modification.

As far as competition goes, this book caught every heart-stopping moments perfectly. The way Ms Clare wrote it was so exciting with a bit of suspense that made the whole experience reading it almost as good as watching those shows.
Still, I found that I wasn't satisfied with the concept of the show, which was a complete copy of BB, with kind of unimaginative modification here and there. The little games (you know, those games with little rewards to keep them busy while staying in the house without any entertainment) are a bit too common with way too many cliches.

The growth of the heroine is a bit unnatural too. I think the author wanted her to grow together with the plot alongside time, and while I can see what the author was going for, I am still not convinced the characterization. The author kept pinpointing the brain of the heroine and her sneaky-ness. But. You only got one moment of sneaky-ness. Half a moment of wit. And the rest is dumb luck. Like seriously, I hate it the most when what authors say and how they picture it differ too much.

That being said, I still enjoy the book, so I give it half mark: 2.5 stars.

How did your last book go? Hope you are having a bookstastic day 😆

Jessica Clare has truly captured the essence of reality tv in this book. Not only has she given it justice, she put something more—a heap of scheming that develops into something substantial. Well, the bedscenes have become the cake. Bedroom Games bags a swoon-worthy 5 stars for coming up with avant-garde Challenges and icing the cake with the ever-delicious naughty boy Brodie Short.

Fans of reality tv shows would enjoy and be thrilled with this romantic book as it is Big Brother House in print. The only difference is that instead of a big brother, you got a House Mother just like in the dormitories. Of course, there would be a variety of people in the house with different stories. And it would be interesting on how they would deal with each other. There's the usual confessions at the confessional room where each house guest is asked with a series of questions after every eviction or incidents that got the staffs of the tv show curious and fascinated.

The two main characters or would-be lovers in this book are Kandis and Brodie. The story is told in the perspective of Kandis (Isn't it interesting how her name sounds like Katniss of The Hunger Games?). Kandis joined the game so she may take care of the finances of her gambling-addict mother. Her mother had two mortgages that she couldn't keep up that now her mother lives with her. Not only does her mother cleaned up all their funds and is badly in debt, she's also throwing away Kandis' money. And so, off to the game she goes to straighten all her financial problems and to send her mother to rehab and be able to take care of herself later.

"We get three kinds of people on these shows. Superfans, Mactors, and broke-ass bitches. Superfans are the people that live and breathe the game and quote you trivia non-stop. The fact that you’re not asking me if I’ve met Jordache from last year tells me that you’re not a Superfan. So that either leaves you as a Mactor or a broke-ass bitch who needs the money so bad you’re willing to go on TV and make a fool of yourself."

I like how the contestants of the game is being stereotyped into three categories right at the first chapter by a staff of the show. Mactor is short for Model-slash-actor people who only want to flaunt their beauty to sell. Kandis was mistaken for a Mactor as she has such a hot body since she's working as a Zumba instructor, teaching eight sessions of dancing a day. While others want to have lots of contracts as a model after the show, Brodie, Kandis' love interest was clawing his way into Hollywood.

Aside from horror-themed Victorian house, part of the season's twist for House Guests is that the top 3 contestants (who are now famous celebrities) of a different reality tv show will be joining. Brodie was already infamous as a horndog villain at that other reality tv show who sold his sister early in the game and hooked up with a hot vocalist who sucked at challenges that got him hated by most tv viewers. He is joined again in this new game with his sister, Katy and the male winner of that other show, Liam who has become his sister's boyfriend.

A snoop at Brodie Short's confessional as opening for every chapter was such a brilliant idea. In the first chapter, it got me curious and at the next ones, entertained. Somehow, Brodie isn't just about winning that million dollars nor about flaunting his beauty for the next big thing—Hollywood, but winning Kandis whom he set his eyes on.
You would be reeling with entertainment as you get to read how the characters scheme their way up to get to the finals. That inadvertently has Kandis' heart hooked along.

For the first four weeks of the game, I was thinking that Kandis has become a leech to Brodie's machinisms. I was greatly disappointed in her then. I expected that she would be an opportunist as she promised to lie and flirt her way up to the finals of the game. While she was being opportunistic with Brodie, I didn't like her just being a dependent bitch (I apologize for the profanity).

Meanwhile, Brodie proved to be really smart with all his strategies. He has such a character (not just a flirt and a braggart) that any reader would love. I didn't find any lapse with his character. Not a single one. Never had I been disappointed with any of his actions nor was I heart-broken despite him flirting with all the hot babes in the house. I didn't find a weak spot that somehow his perfection for a story is disconcerting.

"When in doubt, flatter the ego."

And suddenly, I was amazed at Kandis' scheming after being interrogated at the confessional room. She got a wakeup call when asked who takes control in the Brodie-Katniss partnership that she didn't even get Brodie involved until she had her plots well set. When Becky the House Mother used to be described as bland couldn't hide her fascination with Kandis dancing in triumph at the confessional room shortly after a house guest got evicted, I could sense that the Brodie-Kandis tandem has become the producers' favorite. And if I were to watch the show in real life, I would do so.

Recommendations:
Fans of reality tv show would get easily hooked with this one as all elements are present in the book. And even if you complain on House Guests being too similar with Big Brother, the challenges are impossibly all original. Either the author has such a creative mind or there are just so many reality tv shows around the world that she watched that I didn't. Moreover, the grandeur of the challenges is comparable to Fear Factor and the scheming and alliances to Survivor. Those who have NEVER watched any reality tv show would be the ones who would REALLY ENJOY the book as relatively, the experience would be new. And everything, including the mechanisms of the show and the challenges of the game will be explained.

Trivia:
In real life, there's a thing called UNDER THE BLANKET incident in the Big Brother house. It's that event where two housemates couldn't contain their primal selves when it comes to their baser needs. They would both hide under a huge blanket, oblivious of the time of the day and do some deeds only the two of them know while under the scrutiny of the cameras (and some housemates). Judging by the creak and bouncing of the bed and the positioning of their feet, homeviewers would know what's really going on. And the author of this book must have taken cue on that for Katniss and Brodie. Furthermore, a model has been accused of rape after doing that deed with a 23-yr-old student in Big Brother Brazil 2012.

It’s the House Guests reality show and contestants are snarkily categorized according to Jimmy, the shows Assistant, as Superfans, Mactors (model-actors) or Broke-ass bitches. LOL!!! Liam/Katy and Katy’s brother Brodie return from bk 2 (Playing Games). You remember Brodie…the asshole who threw his sister under the bus at every turn. But that’s ok, she and Liam went on to capture the million dollar win on The World Races despite the lying, cheating Brodie…he's such a tool.

Kandis is the heroine, a zumba teacher, and she’s the contestant out to win the million dollars no matter what it takes. She’s funny, snarky and sarcastic and not falling for any of Brodie’s lame ass come ons. Brodie’s good looking and he knows it. He’s turned the charm on high beams with all the lady participants. And since Kandis and Brodie are the starring couple, waiting for Kandis to buy into Brodie’s b.s. took some time. The author keeps the “trust factor” a suspense element giving the reader an “is he or isn’t he? "playing Kandis throughout the story.

Some interesting contestants keep things lively and the keep the story on edge. One in particular stood out – Jendan, the stuntman. He and Kandis strike up a partnership early in the story. I was disappointed it wasn’t Kandis and Jendan as the bks main couple. But happy to find out the author is saving Jendan as the Hero for the next bk in this series – Body Games.

My dislike of Brodie, a carry-over from bk 2, kept me from enjoying this one as much as I have the other bks in this series or maybe just the whole theme here is getting tired. There’s only one winner in the game and a couple needing a happily ever after. Who wins and how? Sorry, no spoilers, you’ll just have to read it and find out. My rating for this one…a solid 3 stars.

The latest Games Series sees the return of Brodie (and Katy and Liam) in a show that I guess is like the Real World (though I never watched it, so I'm not sure).

I will grudgingly admit that the author did a good job turning my opinion of Brodie around. As Kandis points out in the book he's still a self-serving ass, but you kind of have to love him. He's charming and cute and their banter is thoroughly enjoyable, even though I still WANT to hate him, I just can't. I liked the way the story wrapped up; like Brodie, I certainly realized there was no way Kandis was going to win with the way the last several people left the house (which left me wondering at her intelligence and strategy a bit, because she seemed totally oblivious the the fact that she would lose to either Brodie or Jendan). It was quite a risk on Brodie's part though, especially since he didn't give Kandis any reason (via a heads up) to vote for him I kind of thought it was going to go the way of the very first book where Kandis would cost Brodie the win.

1 Reality Show, many weeks of challenges and tension, a girl fighting to win, and one bad boy.

Our MC is Kandis. A fierce, feisty, awesome girl who has one goal in mind for this contest. To win! She is going to be lying, fighting, flirting. And she does it all for her mom. Awwwww. Yep. Her mom who has a gambling problem and throws away money faster than I eat pizza when I am in a pizza mood. :P Kandis wants to win the money to pay the mortgages on her mom's home and also make sure she gets the best kind of help. *insert more awww*
I just adored this girl from the start, though I was kind of hesitant about her techniques. Yes, they would get her far, but had she thought about the whole voting in the end part? Because making enemies is nice, but um...
I loved to see her war between her feelings for Brodie. On the one hand she just wanted to kick his ass, on the other hand she wanted to do all sorts of naughty things with him. :P
I also liked seeing her try to form alliances, be friendly to people, and do something in the challenges. I say do something, as while I get her technique, I wished she would just had put a bit more fire in them. I understand she doesn't want to come over as too strong, but this was just ridiculous.
Her confessionals were fun, and I loved her open she was while talking there. She didn't shy away from telling all sorts of stuff.

I am kinda glad I didn't read Playing Games, instead opting to skip that book and read others in this series. Thanks to that I am not that biased towards Brodie. I wonder how I would feel about him had I read the other book with him in it. So instead I quite liked him from the start. Yes, he was a giant flirt, but unlike Mickey, he at least knew not to take it too far, and he didn't do any of the icky things that Mickey did. I quite like that even though he knew that people didn't trust him because of what he did in the previous book, he still charmed his way with people. He showed he was strong, not afraid, and I also loved his /care attitude. He didn't seem to mind it that much that people didn't like him.
I also LOVED LOVED his confessionals at the start of the book, they were all about Kandis, and I had such a laugh or a swoon when I read them.
And as the story continued and we knew more about Brodie, dang, I just loved the guy. He is just the sweetest and the best. I loved that he respected Kandis and her decisions. He didn't push, he didn't shove, he wasn't mean, he just was himself, he cared about her, made sure that she was fine, talked to her. But he wasn't afraid to also give his opinions in his way. He knew Kandis could handle it all.

Plus I just adored their banter, how at first they were mostly bitching (well, Kandis mostly), and then steadily fell faster and faster in love. I was just so rooting for these two to finally kiss, because DANG, I get that you don't want to give in Kandis, but come on. Hot, sweet, kind, yummy dude, just go for it. /care for Jendan.

Mickey was by far the worst character in the entire book. It wouldn't surprise me if the guy has a criminal record with the crap he does in this one. What a freaking pervert, he just gave me shivers and I was noping every time he got close to a girl. Especially Kandis got the brunt of it. He kept coming on to her, checking out her ass, touching her, and even cornering her in an empty room. Seriously, it was that Brodie came in, otherwise I don't want to think what could have happened.

I didn't like Marla, especially later on. Dear Lord, woman, please. It is a show, it is not life or death, so get off your high throne and stop being so butthurt about stuff. No need to go all rage on Kandis for her tactics.

We also have other characters, some more memorable than others. Sunnie went from OK girl to mean in the weeks that passed. Jendan was so-so, I just never trusted him. And the rest I practically forgot already, they just didn't hold my attention. :P

The reality show, and the challenges, the rooms, everything, it was just so much fun to read about them. I loved that the theme was horror. So we had all sorts of disgusting and horrific challenges (like finding the brain in a swimming pool of balls and fake blood, or drinking disgusting milkshakes that will make you puke just thinking about them). While I would have bowed out from the food stuff, I would definitely have participated in the other challenges. Even going naked (OK, maybe). :P Or shaving my head for a part (wouldn't be a problem as that is how my hair is now). Plus I liked the haunted house setting and that there were even things happening that were spooky and creepy.

As the tension between Brodie and Kandis get more and more, we also get more action. Eventually ending up in them having tons and tons of sex. :P Yep, there are sex scenes, and they are brilliantly written. Quite a bit graphic though, and very very steamy. I had to fan myself quite a few times while reading, because WOW. These two are going all out.

The ending reminded me a bit too much of another book by this writer, especially how the show ended. But in the end I don't mind it that much as it was still very good. I did feel sorry for Kandis, and I was hoping that everything would be fine. That must have hurt so much. But now we know the whys and hows I see why it had to be done. Plus I just adored what Brodie did. Awwwwww. That is just the sweetest. I want to see these two again, this time in a new reality show.

All in all, a fabulous book, and I would highly recommend it.

Wow, what happened with this book???? It was boring and slow until the half way mark then all was predictable. VERY PREDICTABLE. And what was the deal with the shadows????

Only good additions were Jendan and bringing Brody back. I was Jendan' s character had been more developed. It would be nice to see him have his own book.

I've been touch and go with this series, but this was a "go." It was light and the drama wasn't over the top. It was cute and u liked the characters. The cattiness was real and the distrust was spot on. And Brodie was back! He got a bad rap in the first one, but he made up for it now. He just needed someone he could get lost in. Cute read!

Brodie and Kandis

I read this whole series over Thanksgiving vacation this year. I loved each and every one of them. I would love more and to see updates from each couple.

Right, well remember my comment on book 2 about what a douchcanoe Brodie was? Bravo to Ms. Myles for making me love him. He was totally awesome here. I *almost* forgot about book 2.

********** Contains Spoilers**********

I’ve read this book multiple times since I originally purchased it back in 2013 but have never gotten around to posting a review so here goes. I enjoyed this book, and thought it was a good addition to the Games Series by Jessica Clare/Jill Myers. Kandis Thornton is on House Guests to win the money, as it’s the only way for her mother to lose her house, as she’s a gambling addict and has just taken out a second mortgage on her house. She’s planning to play a hell of a game, she doesn’t care if she has to step on whoever to win the money she will gladly do it. Kandis really hates it when Katy, Liam & Brodie are in the house as well, but especially Brodie as he’d do anything to win. He showed this by being a complete a*sehole to his sister Katy more than once while they were on World Races together. It’s even worse when all the contestants are put in teams of two, and Kandis ends up with Brodie. She doesn’t trust him and he’s messing with her plan for the game as he’s making alliances and wanting to steam ahead in their challenges, as Kandis wanted be more of the middle of the group. Kandis and another House Guest Jendan, whose really nice have an alliance from day one.

Brodie annoys Kandis with his obvious flirting with all the women but doesn’t really understand why she’s so annoyed. It doesn’t take long for Brodie and Kandis to become really good team mates, that respect each other’s game play and eventually things heat up between them. In the back of her mind she’s wondering when he’s going to st*b her in the back like he did his sister while on World Races. I loved how hard Kandis played the game. Man, the women really didn’t like Kandis, and were bitter and blamed Kandis when they got voted out of the game. Brodie is so different in this book, than in Playing Games. He wasn’t as devious in that and had his partners back. I thought that Kandis and Brodie’s chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as f*ck. I really wanted to throat punch Brodie near the end of the book because of the twist but as soon as I found out his reasoning, it totally made sense and it was romantic as f*ck. I enjoyed how much Brodie loved Kandis’s the way that she played the game, and she was so devious. They’re so well suited for each other. I’m looking forward to reading Jendan’s story next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

This book was good but not the best in the series.

I was disappointed in the ending. It wasn't very realistic. It didnt make any sense at all for Brodie to not tell Kandis what he was doing- and he came incredibly close to losing the money. He had to know what she would think, since he gave her no explanation at all, and that she probably wouldn't have voted for him. Knowing how close the vote was, it was a totally stupid thing to do.

And there is no way Kandis would have voted for him after he cast her out, especially knowing it was in the contract that he couldn't share the money! (Which hadnt been mentioned before and was what I'd assumed was his plan.)

I also thought it was very unrealistic that she didnt cry until he won, that he didnt ask to see her after he won (knowing how hurt she'd be), or that she'd never considered the end game- who would be pissed off at her and who would vote for her. On any reality show, that is all they think about!

Oh- and the mother saying- do you think I have a problem? Puhlease! She'd lost everything and was barely hanging on, had to get money for food from her daughter. Just rang false.

The other thing I dont like about this book is that the characters never mention relationships outside the game. No one talks about friends and family. Except this one, and it was about as one dimensional as it gets.

Okay. Rant over. Hopefully the next one will be better!

I pretty much enjoyed this book. Though I admit not as much as how I loved "Wicked Games" and "Body Games".

I didn't like Brodie that much at the beginning, his man whore vibe and how he flirted with all the women in the game didn't really sit well with me. Kandis was likeable enough. Even though it seemed as if she was stringing Brodie and Jendan, I understood her reasons for doing so. Jendan's character stood out most of all for me in this book though, that's why I'm so thrilled that he get to have his much deserved happy ending in "Body Games".

As for chemistry, Kandis and Brodie's connection was believable enough but I can't help but think the author could've done much better. I've read her other books and I've seen her skill in weaving strong believable connection between her heroes and heroines. I couldn't put my finger on it but I just felt that there's a bit of something missing between Kandis and Brodie's relationship.

Anyway, overall this was still an enjoyable read. But I think I enjoy Endurance Island best.✌🏻

Enjoyable.
Of course we didn't like Brodie from the last book, but he was much better in this one.

Unfortunately it's been a few weeks since I read it, so I can't remember everything.

I think that they could have played with the gothic/ghosts/monster themes a bit more for the challenges etc.

Oh.. .I remember I didn't particularly like Kandis. Right from the start. Basically when she spelled her name out twice. (Which by the way, when it was Candice Thornton it made me groan because remove the "ton" and it was my bosses name. It took everything I had to not stop reading because I wasn't sure if I could get on with a character that shared a name with my boss... but then the spelling changed, and I got over it. But to be honest, I didn't much like Kandis anyway, mostly because she stated from the start "I'm a bitch")

I watched a single season of Big Brother many years ago (which is what this is based off of, not Real World like some other person said... which I watched and enjoyed Real World when it was still cool)... and yeah this was pretty much just Big Brother...

Not bad though. I do look forward to the next one.

Bedroom Games is the fourth book in the Games series. It can be read as a standalone book, but the hero, Brodie appeared in Playing Games in the World Races. He was not a likable character to his sister in that book, so this book is his shot at redemption and to win the money.

Kandis is coming into House Games with the urgent need to win the million dollar prize to bail out her Mom's double mortgage and credit card debts due to her gambling addiction. She plans to do anything it takes to win. Brodie plans to flirt and befriend everyone along with secret alliances. The twist, every housemate is partnered. Brodie and Kandis are partners. They both have alliances outside of their team. As they spend more time together, they find they really do like each other and they can be a strong partnership, maybe even more. Will love bloom under the pressure of all the cameras? Can the really trust each other or is it all for the game?

4 Stars for the 4th installment in Jessica Clare's Games Series.

Based on the reality show Big Brother, Kandis is chosen to be a contestant on the show House Guest. She plans on lying and scheming her way to the end. What she doesn't plan on is falling for villain Brodie Short.

I love Big Brother, so I couldn't wait to get to this book in the series. Overall, it fell short for me. I felt like I had been taken back in time when the reality show barely had any competitions or real strategic moves. Kandis can't keep a poker face and Brodie is just barely able to redeem himself from his atrocious role as a secondary character in Playing Games. Even the addition of Katy and Liam was pointless. They contributed nothing and were voted out too fast to play any important role.

Now that I got all my critiques out of the way...

I actually liked Kandis and Brodie together. I thought they had great chemistry and had real potential as a power couple in a reality show.

This one was harder to love at first, they’re both quite unlikeable to me, and I don’t really like the US big brother format since it’s so different here, but by the end I really liked it. I personally like ours because it’s more about friendships and the house votes as a collective so they’re forced to make connections with everyone instead of just an alliance. I liked that Brodie was friendly with everyone, I somehow never really trusted him however and he always gave player but I think it was me not them lol. Even when they got to having sex I thought he was lying about cameras being off and that he was playing it up for camera time 😂 but by the end I had enjoyed reading it even with all that. I wonder if there’s other series like this because I’m actually loving this.

1.5 stars rounded up.

This was clearly not edited for reading comprehension...The misunderstanding at the end makes exactly 0 fucking sense because the scenario Brodie explains is NOT what the other option was.... He claims he voted Kandis off because the jury would never have voted for her to win over Jenden. Here's the problem: his choices were to either vote her off or vote Jenden off. That means it would have been between Kandis and him at the end, with Jenden as an eliminated member of the jury.

Did the author even read her own book? This smacks of last-minute rewrites to engineer some kind of suspense as to the outcome (there definitely wasn't any at all).
