Born and raised in a broken home on the wrong side of town, Sophie spent her childhood fighting to keep a roof over her head, and at eighteen she was homeless and without a single person she could trust or admire… until she met Liz, Charlie, and Josh.
Though they are both deeply in love with Liz, Charlie and Josh know that something is lacking in their lives: a baby girl to cherish, care for, and, when necessary, discipline. When Sophie gets herself in trouble with the law and needs help and a place to stay, they soon discover that she is just what they have been missing and, more importantly, they can be the family she never had.
Almost before she knows what is happening, Sophie finds herself living a life she never would have imagined. She begins to realize that having a big, strong daddy, a strict but caring mommy, and a handsome, fun-loving uncle might not be a bad thing at all. As she adjusts to her new home and begins to show her feisty side, though, Sophie learns that when she is disobedient she will be punished.
Liz, Charlie, and Josh are fully prepared to keep Sophie in line, even if that means showing their baby girl that there are plenty of very embarrassing ways to discipline a young lady when she has been really naughty, and that if her behavior is bad enough, her blushing cheeks will more than match the color of her bright red, well-spanked bare bottom.
Publisher’s Note: Being Their Baby is a full-length erotic novel that includes spankings, anal play, graphic sexual scenes, exhibitionism, age play, elements of medical play and BDSM, and much more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Ageplay lovers, this is a book for you! Not only is there a Daddy Dom, but there is a Mommy and an Uncle. This type of ageplay story hits many of my kinks. Not only is there treatment as a young child, there is also bad baby punishment! Sophie is an eighteen year old who is dealt a raw hand. Her mother is trash. Her stepfather is abusive. Her grandfather is an asshole. Sophie does the best she can to get out of the hell hole she's in. She is certainly no victim. She's a survivor trying to do things the best she can with not enough education and no support.
Sophie is given a helping hand by a woman at the office she works. Liz, a high powered lawyer, is into ageplay and wants another little girl. The last one she shared with her boyfriend, Charlie, left them for another guy. Added to the mix is sexy Uncle Josh, Charlie's younger brother. In this story, there is a Daddy Dom, Mommy Domme and a switch. Where do I sign up?
This story may be difficult for some because both Charlie and Liz are in their late 30s while Sophie is only eighteen. There is about a twenty year difference. Josh is closer to Sophie's age at twenty-nine. In addition, some may also object to the forcing of a vanilla sexually inexperienced girl into the kinky ageplay lifestyle. These issues aside, the actual ageplay parts are pretty hawt. The punishments are real spankings, paddlings and birching. It's not funishment. Nor is bratty behaviour allowed to fester for long. Ms. Johnson's description of Sophie's reaction is great because it shows how painful the punishments are as well as the resulting correction. This enforcement of rules for a young girl who does need guidance is erotically stimulating for ageplay lovers. Basically, Sophie's tears and screams for mercy fell on deaf ears for this reader. Sophie earned every painful swat with her poor behaviour.
From a realistic standpoint, there are concerns to this story. Will Sophie ever mature if she is forever kept as a "little"? She's never had a chance to mature with family support. There is also the issue with the neglect as a child which modern society deems as child abuse. This is in addition to the physical beatings doled out by her stepfather. With the punishments she receives from Charlie, Liz and Josh, does it cross a line? Can Sophie distinguish between the two? From this readers perspective, yes, it can be distinguished, but only because I have the experience and maturity to tell the difference. From Sophie's perspective, perhaps not.
Still, the different scene where Sophie is taken to task are delightful. What I really enjoyed, are the rules and regiment they gave Sophie. Sometimes, it is a relief not to have to make any decisions and just be taken care of. To have a bubble bath and given nap time when exhausted sounds like heaven. Would this be possible 24/7? Probably not, but as a fantasy, it's a nice one to visit. Even the forced enema and diaper time is pretty attractive for those who enjoy this kind of kink. While it could be humiliating to be changed and forced to eat baby food and drink out of a bottle, it's a tempting submission for some. It's definitely not for everyone. Ms. Johnson does a good job of showing why and how it can be appealing. She does tend to show how it can be appealing more from the dominant's perspective than the submissive. This is a difference which I appreciate and enjoyed reading. This kinky poly romance is highly recommended to ageplay lovers.
3.25 Stars MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT: Okay... This book brought out a lot of different emotions from me. At times, I loved it and I was debating giving it a five star rating. At other times, I had real issues with it and I struggled to make it through.
Sophie- I felt bad for Sophie and her upbringing, but let's face it; she made some irresponsible, stupid, and flat out horrible decisions in this book. I don't even know how she possibly thought that some of things she did would turn out okay or somehow be the right thing to do.
Liz- I liked Liz. I had never read about a female Dominate before so following her character and being in her head was a unique experience for me. I wish she would have been a little more present in the story though. Charlie and Josh were there a lot more often than Liz was. She seemed to only play a role in the beginning and, after that, only when Sophie was being punished for something.
Charlie- I liked Charlie, but at times I felt like his character was a little too dominate for me and I had a hard time liking his character. He was the main disciplinarian in the relationship and, as a person who has never liked the punishment aspect of DD/lg, I struggled to balance my feelings and hold the resentment at bay when he punished Sophie.
Josh- I liked Josh the most out of the characters. He was a lot more relatable to me and I felt like he was the easiest to connect to/understand. I liked the dynamic between him and Sophie and I really enjoyed his parts of the story.
What I Liked- I liked the premise of the story and the dynamic of this four person relationship. I had never read anything like it before and I was extremely intrigued.
What I Didn't Like- The punishments. Let me say that while I don't particularly like them, I understand that they are a part of the DD/lg dynamic and I can usually get past it when I am reading about it. In this book, I could not. Here are some reasons why: 1) Sophie would beg, plead, bawl her eyes out, cry, and scream when she was being punished. This was extremely hard for me to read about because I just wanted to jump into the book and save her. Unlike other BDSM or DD/lg books I have read, Sophie did not enjoy her punishments in any way and watching her scream and cry was an incredibly hard pill to swallow for me. 2) The severity of the punishments. The corporal punishments aside (because those are a whole other monster), I had an extremely hard time dealing with the psychological punishments. The "bad baby weekend" was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to read and I had to force myself to continue. Even if I was able to overlook them treating her like a baby and putting her in diapers, the enema scene was absolutely abhorrent. The only reason that I knew that I wasn't dreaming when I read that scene was because I know my mind could have never come up with something that twisted. That scene ruined the whole book for me. The premise of using an enema as a punishment disgusted me and hearing Sophie plead with Charlie to make it stop just made everything ten times worse. 3) A normal submissive has a safe word to stop if things get too much. Sophie was NEVER given that option or told about it which really disturbed me. I felt like she had no way out if she needed it and, to me, that does not signify a healthy relationship.
Overall, I enjoyed this book (most of the time). If given the choice to read it all over again however, I don't think I would. There were just too many aspects of it that rubbed me the wrong way.
Charlie and Josh are brothers. Charlie spent 9 years in the NFL as a quarterback and is now a commentator for ESPN. Josh is an OB/GYN. Either of them would be considered a pretty good catch. Elizabeth, a highly successful Attorney, has caught both of them. Only it isn’t quite enough.
Elizabeth loves Age-Play with young female submissives. And Charlie has learned to be a Daddy. And Josh has fallen into being an Uncle. The only problem is that they haven’t found the right person to fill the fourth role.
Enter Sophia. Actually, she just didn’t enter because Liz has been attracted to her for a while but had to wait. But when the opportunity presents itself, she brings her into their home.
Not as much Age-Play as you might expect from the title although there was enough that I wouldn’t expect anyone to complain. There was a lot of Domestic Discipline. What I found really interesting was that Sophie loved the attention, needed the nurturing, but wasn’t one of those masochists who gets spanked for the first time and can’t get enough. Sophie didn’t enjoy it all - as Charles says at one point, it was definitely consensual non-consent. Which actually caused some interesting moments in the story.
I’ve read various polyamory stories over the last year and a half but this is the first one to remind me of Weetzie Bat.
Sophia is eighteen years old. Despite a strict upbringing, she has secured an entry-level clerical job with a legal firm and kept it for two years. Now she's in trouble. Her family have thrown her out, and she is not earning enough to support herself.
Elizabeth is thirty-two years old. She is one of Sophia's bosses, and she has long taken an interest in Sophia, offering time and time again to help her if she needs anything. These offers are dismissed by Sophia, who doesn't believe she is worth supporting until a day comes when she has nowhere else to turn.
This is the story of how Sophia is taken in by Elizabeth and her two partners - Charlie (32) and Josh (29), who are brothers. They are used to having a "little" in their lives, and Sophia assumes that role, though she had not heard of ageplay up to that time.
I really enjoyed this book. All four characters are solid and likeable, and the requisite feels are there. I find some aspects of the ageplay lifestyle discomfiting, aspects this story doesn't shy away from, and the CNC aspects of this developing poly relationship sometimes made me a little uncomfortable. Never enough to ruin my enjoyment of the story, though, and all sex scenes (which are fabulous) are totally consensual.
Prospective readers should definitely read the publisher's content warning before embarking on this journey. I enjoyed it very much.
A sequel to this book, featuring the same polycule, has recently been published, but there are no loose ends in this book, which can easily be read as a stand-alone.
Surprising depth and length given the genre which usually puts out books in the 100-145 page range. The characters are all clear and unique - and all but Josh seemed very true to what you'd expect/what they are portrayed to be. Josh was harder for me to get a handle on because he seemed a bit irresponsible at first but then evolved. Where he ended up seemed more fitting for who he was.
Sophie is a really beguiling minx and her character is written perfectly. Although I wish the trio had done more questioning in the beginning - things did come out eventually about Sophie's life. Those things mattered and it usually was not until someone messed up that they figured things out. I'm more used to BDSM which has more negotiation in front and discovery. Liz and Charlie were definitely the BDSM'ers in this book and it was very light because both were Dominant. It was also light on FF action which I was looking forward too as in ageplay this element always comes off so different and it can be so distinct from "Daddy" action. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see any interaction really between Josh and Liz because that's where the BDSM - S&M action is and I so badly wanted it!
The Bad Baby weekend was great and I wanted more of it - as the book is actually very light on ageplay elements. There is much spanking but it's not as impactful (pun intended) as it could be if there was more sex and ageplay :) I get why the slow going on the virginity - but I felt as frustrated as Sophie about waiting! LOL
Overall a fun read where the length means you really do get to know the characters better- and I'd definitely read more about these 4. Hopefully the next one will have more sex (esp Liz and Sophie and Charlie and Sophie because the latter was VERY hot as Charlie is a dirty talker...which here works and is absolutely arousing!) AND it absolutely unequivocally must include at least one scene with Josh and Liz with the S&M. All the bruises are off screen. No bueno :)
I almost dropped this book at 80% the only reason I didn't was to leave this review. Now I full believe in the suspension of disbelief and taking things with a pinch of salt in a book but this was too much. This was abuse hiding behind age play and dd/lg labels. 3 grown adults 10+ years her senior found a highly vulnerable 18 year old (that one of them had apparently been eyeing at 16) and had their way with her. There was NO discussion of safe words, hard limits, or her past traumas and abuse. They didn't put her in therapy but instead just steamrolled over everything. I think they were supposed to come off as good because they waited 6+ months to have sex with her but they did everything short of it! The spankings often came from a place of anger and around the 80% she does do something really stupid but they punish her with multiple spankings, a "bad baby weekend", and then a switching at the end, all for the same infraction! Again that's not punishment, that's abuse. There was no informed consent involved in this "consensual nonconsent" relationship. Dd/lg is a subcategory of bdsm and you need to follow bdsm safety protocols, even in a book, because otherwise it's just an alarming and infuriating read
Captivated by the first half, not so much by the second. The age play was interesting and surprisingly HAWT at times. I really enjoyed reading about the main characters and how Sophie came to be with them.
Then the story did a "six months later" jump that I didn't get the point of. Anyway she was still a virgin, then she went through a traumatic experience and that very night it was decided it would be a good time to take her virginity. The guy was a doctor so I didn't get that either. It was poor taste and poor timing IMO.
This story had some light FF action, age play, lots of spanking BUT no ménage as I incorrectly had assumed it would.
I ended up finishing the book even though I wanted to quit so many times. First off this felt super icky. I don’t mind daddy Dom stories most of the time but with Sophia being just 18 with zero experience and having her thrown into this relationship was too much. She didn’t have any sort of safe word and Charlie and Liz both punish her for her feelings instead of trying to hear her out. Honestly I feel gross having read this
This book made me very uncomfortable. The realtionship was rushed into and all I could see hapoenng was Sophie having a breakdown due to being forced into that role. DNF
I was expecting a short novel, so I was like, 'WTH! A full Length novel!' How awesome is that?
I like it, it's entertaining although I did skip here and there. It's not boring but I ain't a fan of 3rd Person POV so I kinda felt detached to the characters.
This did not land for me. The whole thing felt forced and toxic and worrying to be honest, not at all what I want to feel when I read my stupid comfort books. Also it felt more Liz center for a lot of it and I personally prefer the “center” of the relationships to be the main girl to be honest. So really my struggle with this book was down to MY preferences, not exactly a fault of itself.
The biggest draw of this book for me was the inclusion of a Mommy and Daddy Dom, but Liz was really put on the backburner after she brings Sophie home. The climax of the book is all about Sophie being intimate with Charlie and Josh, and I was never convinced of Sophie and Liz’s connection. I got the overwhelming sense that the author is straight. I could be wrong, but the wlw scenes were not great, and the weird commentary on lesbianism and bisexuality was, well, weird and borderline offensive. Liz and Sophie’s sexual connection was non-existent, despite Liz being the one to initiate a relationship, and the notion that wlw sexual encounters ‘didn’t count’ or were ‘less special’ than heterosexual ones really rubbed me the wrong way.
This was more heavily focused on punishment rather than age play, and even the eventual ‘little time’ was also a punishment? Which I thought was strange and off putting.
My biggest gripe: there is not one mention of safe words, and no mention of limits for Sophie. Liz, Charlie and Josh are supposedly seasoned in age play and yet they really do not ease Sophie into it at all. Plus they practically force Sophie is try baby play, which she is so uncomfortable with she has a panic attack. Instead of ending the scene they kept pushing her, which is incredibly bad form.
All in all, Josh really saved this book for me. He was the best character so far. I enjoyed it, but certain parts (lack in instruction, safe words, actual Little time, misconceptions about bisexuality) really grated on me.
This is not your typical age-play porn book. There is actually depth and character development that is normally missing. Baby Sophie is in need of so much love and attention that she needs a Mommy, Daddy, and an Uncle. I loved the relationships in this book and how when Baby arrived they all seemed to get what they needed. There was less actual sex in this book (dungeon activity and good girl weekends were mentioned but not experienced) but there were enough spankings to make up for it! I really enjoyed this book!
A lot of age play stories are all about a Daddy and his little. It's nice to see one that has a larger family dynamic at play. There's a whole family there to take care of their baby girl, Sophie.
I really enjoyed this story and all the various interactions between all the characters and how they make all the relationships work. When you get 4 people together and try to work through all the various permutations and add in all the personalities, it can be difficult to put it all together, but they make it work.
It was defiantly a different read then I'm use too. It started out a little odd and then became more interesting as I continued on. The baby scenes where too much and weird. However, being their little wasn't so bad to read. I liked the ending and wished it continued on... Interesting read for my first age-role play read.
Fun Read, and actually had more depth then expected. Really well written kink book, that added a family element that was unique and interesting to read! Going to continue on to the next book then find more books by this author!
Will never read something like this again, but everyone has their own lifestyles and preferences... Just a bit too odd for me, but I like the mystery of the "Whys?" behind it.
Being Their Baby is a breath of fresh air. Unlike many age-play and harem romance novels, the protagonist is not all-accepting and enthusiastic, so there are real relationship conflicts to entertain the reader. There are also, perhaps surprisingly, two well-constructed romance relationship arcs, so this is Romantica rather than mere erotica.
However, because this is an erotic novel that covers all the aspects of age play—not just wearing a school uniform and calling the others Mommy and Daddy—sensitive readers should avoid this book. It requires a reader with an especially open mind.
The Opening
The opening is fantastic. The very first paragraph both establishes Sophie as a sympathetic character and introduces conflict.
The Characters
Sophie is a perfect protagonist. She is always proactive about improving her situation, though she usually comes up with terrible ideas about how to do so. She also has enough baggage and backstory tragedy to make Ebeneezer Scrooge wince. But what I really liked about her was her resistance to change, to assistance, and to doing what the other characters wanted her to do.
Elizabeth is great. She’s a dominant who occasionally gets dominated. She is also likable because of the way she cares for Sophie and attempts to help her out. Because their initial talk in the novel is nothing to do with relationships and touches on important themes, this erotic romance manages to pass the Bechdel-Wallace Test.
Josh and Charlie are also fantastic characters. I love the fact that all the older characters have deep backgrounds with fully developed careers, back history, and individual interests that make them into three-dimensional characters.
The Plot
The main conflict revolves around the fact that Sophie has suffered a terrible childhood and now feels unable to accept that anyone can love her. What I liked about how this was handled was that Sophie, unlike other “littles”, does not immediately accept the lifestyle they offer. Instead, she digs her heels in despite the fact that she’s only making things worse for herself.
The twin relationship arcs in this are well developed, and I loved the direction this novel was taking toward the end. However, I felt that the ending was far too abrupt.
I would have liked to have seen a slower ending that demonstrated more fully both Sophie’s acceptance of the lifestyle and her maturing relationship with the other characters. To me, the story seemed to fast-forward from her first “bad baby weekend” to the resolution of her relationship arc in the following chapter. I would also have loved to see an epilogue to show more clearly what happened in these character’s future.
The Setting
The setting of this novel was excellent. I always understood where we were and could easily picture the scenes. There is also a lot of sensory information that helps to ground the reader, such as the texture, smell, and taste of the food Sophie eats.
The introduction to the fetish lifestyle of age play is described well and covered in more depth than I’ve seen in other age play novels, such as Jade West’s Call Me Daddy. The lifestyle is also better integrated into the plot and relevant to resolving the conflicts in this novel.
The Prose
Generally, the prose is very clear. I loved that the multiple viewpoint characters each had their own voice so we really got into the character’s heads. The story is well shown.
One small thing I didn’t like was that Sophie alternates between thinking Elizabeth and Liz from their very first interaction. Since Sophie holds Elizabeth in such high regard, I think it would have worked better if Elizabeth had remained just Elizabeth in Sophie’s viewpoint thoughts.
My Opinion
Overall, I thought this was a fabulous story of love overcoming the damage caused by long-term neglect and bad parenting. However, I was a little disappointed by the ending, so I’m going to give it 9 out of 10. On Amazon and Goodreads, I’ll award 5 out of 5.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
DNF.
Me faz mal ao estômago.
Sophie is 18, and is kicked out of her abusive/neglectful parents house. She’s been living above her work office for a while now, but agter getting kicked out on her own she tries to sell her virginity and gets picked up by cops.
She calls Liz who brings her home to keep her safe and to make her the 4th person in Liz’s Harem.
Sophie fills in the LG role with Liz & Josh, but struggles to accept Charlie because he seems like a stern Daddy at first, whereas Josh is the fun Uncle and Liz is a Mommy that spoils Sophie.
Eventually Sophie does accept Charlie, but she struggles adapting to her relationship with Liz, Josh, & Charlie since age play is new to her. They also try to help her start acting her age, which allows her to be more childish.
The whole story is unbelievable cute and sweet. There are some moments when Sophienis getting spanked that are steamy, but mostly this is a really sweet read.
My only issue is that Sophie is most certainly a brat. And not that there is anything wrong with that, but her being a brat mad her behaviors really repetitive so it was hard to see her character growth or become more settled in her relationship when she throws a tantrum every chapter, but cries like a baby every single time she is being spanked. Very dramatically honestly. And again nothing wrong with that, but that aspect of her is sort of out of character, not the brattiness but the cries when getting spanked.
But still 4 stars cuz it’s a great read and my issues with Sophie are minor and based on personal opinion.
