NO NO NO NO......

DNF @ 21% then skipped ahead to the end

I'm just going to ignore the editing errors and discrepancies in the story and go straight to why I DNF it.

Mira's fiance Danny dies and has been dead for 6 months. His best friend Skylar moves in to Mira's apartment after Kylee moves out. They do it the first day he moves in! He's hitting on his best friend's girl the first day and having sex with her!!! Anyone else see my issue here??

OK so I skipped ahead to the end and found out

I think I may have just read a completely different book to the one receiving the 5 star reviews.

I will say the introduction to Mirage moved me. What the author expressed regarding her husband and his friend in that introduction broke my heart and I completely understand her reasoning for wanting to write this story and I commend her for doing so.

I purchased Mirage based on the gorgeous cover, the 5 Stars ratings popping up in my Goodreads feed, and the hype surrounding the big twist which was constantly in my FB feed. I saw this book climbing the charts and thought "this has to be my next read, it must be awesome."

At 7% I was tearing my hair out and on the verge of DNF'ing. The errors were excessive to say the least and they caused me to completely disconnect from the story. The heroine gave me whiplash. Mira was all over the place and the execution of the story in general? Well, it did nothing for me.

"I finally get his cock freed from his boxers and I am in awe. The size alone makes me squirm. I'm a little nervous as to what the hell I would do with this monster but at the same time, I want it in my mouth. My kiss became even more desperate, wanting to speed up the kissing of his lips to the kissing of his dick."

Now I can get past few misspelled or misplaced words here and there and in fact, I can overlook quite a few grammatical errors in exchange for a strong storyline and characters. I shouldn't have to but I can, and I do.

"To be honest and not cheat at the game, I was thinking of dragging you into my room and riding you until we both couldn't move."

But my issues went a bit deeper with Mirage. The story constantly switched from past to present tense in a single sentence and skipped from first to third person throughout the whole book. It was distracting and annoying.

"He puts his arms around my waist while standing behind me, attempting the Heimlich. He applied a little pressure and the pizza was dislodged fairly quickly. I sat breathing a little easier and notice his arms still around my waist."

At one point the spelling of the heroines name even changed from Mira to Myra and I found the whole reading experience a challenge.

"My panties are drenched. I'm going to have to change. His touch sears my skin. This embrace has lasted too long: just to be a friend worried about another."

I really did try and push through but it was a chore. I feel the author had a good storyline but the execution and lack of editing really let her down.

I did persevere with this book and eventually did finish it. Why? Because I'm nosy and I HAD to know what this big reveal was that had everyone so worked up. Yes, it was a bit twist. No doubt about that. I had a feeling something was coming but didn't realize it was going to be to that extent, so kudos to the author for that. It was a doozy!

In that moment, I thought to myself, 'I am hopelessly in love with this man.....

I absolutely dislike giving negative reviews. I do hope the author takes something constructive away from this overview.

WOW.. WOW.. WOW... I can not express ENOUGH how amazing this book is. It's like you smushed every guy, emotion, story, and rolled it into one amazing story that will leave you with the biggest hangover you have experienced..maybe ever..

This story follows a gal named Mira and her boyfriend Danny and best friends Kylee and Skylar.. Right in the beginning you fall head over heels in love with Danny and Mira's relationship..Then comes the tragedy that rips through all their lives.. It is heart wrenching and I have an open wound from it as I review.

The story continues and follows the healing process and just when you think everything is getting better or moving forward.. YOU ARE WRONG. This story took me on a HUGE emotional rollercoaster that I didn't know if I wanted to ride for ever or scream GET ME THE EFF OFF OF HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!!

It's flipping FANTASTIC. One of the best books I have read all year.. Maybe ever. I cant' review in detail - as you need to go into this one unknowing but trust me - it will NOT DISAPPOINT..

*Blew my mind.
*HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT
*Skylar- I will bottle you up and drink you
*The banter is hilarious between Mira/Kylee
*Biggest OMG THAT JUST HAPPENED MOMENT Happens a few times throughout this book

BUY IT..DEVOUR IT.. THANK ME LATER.. YOU'RE WELCOME

WELL DONE ASHLEY.. PHENOMENAL STORY..

TCO IS SEVERELY HUNGOVER, HAVE AN ULCER, AND SITTING WITH ACID REFLUX AND AM LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

With a TBR list a mile long I decided not to continue reading books I wasn't enjoying. So this was a DNF for me at 22%.

I usually give my DNF books 1 star but I kind of sort of feel like I read this one even though I jumped from 22% to the end. Yeah, yeah....

I had to see what the big twist was.

That's where the extra star comes in. I'll give the author an extra star for the creative storyline. Unfortunately the writing itself is what ruined it for me. There were a lot of grammatical errors, changes from present to past tense and switching from first to third person.

Distracting! Not only that, but it prevented me from having any connection with the characters. The story itself is centered around 4 main characters--Kylee, Mira, Skylar and Danny. Kylee and Mira were college roomates and met childhood friends Skylar and Danny the first day of college. Skylar sees Mira first and it's love at first sight.

But Danny talks to Mira first and they proceed to date for the next four years, eventually getting engaged. On graduation night, Danny and Mira are involved in a motorcycle wreck killing Danny and leaving Mira injured. Mira grieves the loss of Danny--shutting herself away from everyone.

We jump six months ahead and Kylee has talked Mira in to attending a counseling session. Skylar just so happens to be there (on a side-note: I am not so sure where he has been the last six months, but he's never mentioend) and from this point their relationship goes from 0 to 60. Now Sklyar's moving in and they proceed to have sex the first night he's there.

Now wait a second here.....things are happening a little fast don't you think???

And....this is where I stopped. I just wasn't feeling it. All of the characters were contradicting.....saying one thing, and doing another. The sex wasn't hot when I was having to decipher through typos. Now call me crazy but I was curious about the "big twist". So I skipped to the end to figure out what it was....so for those of you that want to know here you go.....

5 Shocking Stars!

I was debating what to read today. Hmm, I'm scrolling along and up pops this book. Ok, new author, first book, and I like to support new authors. So what the hell, I give it a shot.
I DID NOT PUT IT DOWN. Except to rant!
This will be vague because I don't want to spoil anyone's lunch.

The story starts with four friends graduating from college. Two of them are in love and going to get married. Your average love story, right? Wrong!

There's a traggic accident and crap hits the fan! It's so sad and it happens right in the beginning so you think that's the big shocker, right? WRONG!

Before I get to the end. I do want say that I loved everyone of these characters. Mira was effing hilarious. I laughed out loud.
Sky was delicious. Yeah I thought he was just your average good humored guy. But he also rides a motorcycle, and is part of a Club. hotness times three.

The ENDING! Are you serious? What do I do NOW?
I didn't see that coming, still shaking my head, and still playing this all out in my mind!!!!

As I’ve stated in previous reviews, the beginning of the story is the “key” to keeping my interest. Right from the get-go, I’m sucked into this book. While reading the prologue I was angry, sad, and I even cried. That usually does not happen; I’m pretty stern when it comes to the water works. To be honest, this review is rather difficult for me because I want to just tell the world what happens and of course, I can’t be a butt-head and spill the beans. All I can say is HOLY FREAKING CANNOLI!! This book was AMAZING!! I enjoyed it so much. It is such an easy and fun read. It took me about a few hours to get through it.
The book portrays the lives of four best friends in college, who have to overcome an earth-shattering tragedy when one of them dies. Poor Mira has to move on from her life after her fiance, Danny, dies in a motorcycle accident. I felt sorry for Mira. She is a pure and genuine soul and to read about her struggles just tore me apart. She begins to alienate herself from the world and leaving her other friends, Kylee and Skylar in the dark. But about 7 months after Danny’s death, Mira realizes she needs to move on because Danny would have wanted her to. However, Mira wasn’t expecting to move on with Skylar, Danny’s best friend. What could she do? How can she betray Danny’s love? What will people think?
The story is full of surprises! At first, I thought it was your typical romance novel. I will admit I thought I had it figured out; boy was I wrong! The book had its sexy and suspenseful moments and even a few jokes, here and there. There is definitely a few steamy sex scenes, but not too kinky, so its still enjoyable. The actual love story is so authentic and believable. I found myself rooting for them throughout the whole book. The ending was so shocking and unpredictable! I was actually in a state of panic and I could feel myself freaking out. I was like, “Oh my Gosh, what just happened?!!” and “How is this happening??”
Overall, this story was FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC! I am so happy I had the pleasure to read it! I hope and pray that there is a sequel. I highly recommend this novel and I honestly believe it will be a best-seller. It has the potential to become a ground-breaking phenomenon.
To the author, Ashley Suzanne, I congratulate you on your debut novel and I hope everyone loves it as much as I did. I hope it reaches a great success throughout the world.

**Will contain some Spoilers** (I won't give away key points of the book)

I HATE giving any book 1 star, but when I finished this book, I was pissed. Besides the obvious grammar mistakes(which I can overlook) the story was okay, not great, just okay. The story is about Mira and her fiance Danny, her best friend Kylee, and Danny's best friend Skylar. There is a motorcycle accident and Danny is killed. 6 months later Skylar moves in with Mira and they sleep together, and it doesn't end well. The actions of these 2 were actually quite unbelievable, I almost found myself wanting to stop reading at this point. I hate not finishing a book so I kept reading.

I didn't like the switching from present to past, I found myself skipping those parts towards the middle because it did nothing for the story, and to me it actually took away from it. A few flashbacks would have been good, but not so many as to where it became annoying.

My biggest complaint is the ending. This is the first time I have ever been pissed at how a book ends. I still can't believe that the author chose to end the book that way. I really wouldn't say it was a cliffhanger, but you are left with no idea where the next book is going to go. This is where I will hide with spoiler links because I HAVE to get this off my chest and for those who want to read it, I won't ruin it for you.

Holy freaking mother of all that is...WHATEVER...this is a MUST FREAKING READ BOOK!!!

5+ STARS

This is by far the best book I have read in 2013. I got hooked right away and was totally taken by surprise. I mean HOLY SHIT!

I swear I am going to have a super potty mouth because I this book completely changed me. I have never ever ever been so wrong about how a book was going to end EVER!

Ok, so...there are four best friends. Mira and Kylee who have been friends forever and then Danny and Skylar who were friends forever. After meeting at freshman orientation, the all become friends. Pretty awesome I think. Well, Mira and Danny meet first and have a totally awesome love at first sight moment. One look and they are done for, in love and the whole sheeebang!

Early in the book something HORRIBLE happens. See, this is kinda hard to say without spoiling anything but I think most people will get it when they read the blurb...I will post the blurb but if you dont get it, you will in the first 10 minutes of the book.

Blurb:

Mira and Kylee meet Danny and Skylar during freshman orientation, their first week of college. Two sets of best friends embark on a new adventure together, forming life long bonds.
Mira and Danny are looking forward to their future as husband and wife. Everything was going according to plan. That was until tragedy struck them on graduation night leaving three broken people to pick up the pieces.
Skylar has always stood in the background, watching his best friend begin a life with the woman he fell in love with until he can no longer keep a distance.
Right when Mira thinks her life is back on track it spirals out of control. What if everything you thought you knew was nothing more than a mirage

Ok, with that, I figured out that Danny doesn't make it. If you didn't figure that out I am SOOOOO sorry but really I didn't ruin anything for you.

“In that moment, my world came to a screeching halt and that was it for me.”

Anyways, this book takes place 4 years later, after their college graduation. Life is suppose to be really starting for these four but not everything goes as planned. When Mira is going through her pain of losing someone she loves more than anything, she realizes that someone else has always held a piece of her heart.

Skylar...oh my Skylar. He was such a great friend. So caring. He lost someone that meant the world to him as well but still put others feelings first. I am so in love with guy. He has had super strong feelings for Mira and because he never would do anything to hurt his best friend Danny or Mira, he keeps this a secret and wants nothing more than their happiness. He was such a sweety.

Danny, oh what a man. He was so romantic, so sweet and I just felt how much love he has for Mira. Broke my freaking heart in pieces. I loved love loved him.

Kylee, is freaking awesome. She is badass. She was Mira's rock. The best friend anyone could ask for. These two girls were like sisters but more. I loved her.

Mirage was all about healing, love, unknown feelings and so much more. You feel every emotion possible. I laughed, I cried, I said HOLY FUCKING SHIT and more. I want nothing more than to talk and talk about this book but it is too hard to without spoiling anything.

Skylar and Mira find out that what they have was more than just a regular friendship, there is LOVE. Skylar seriously at a couple points pissed me off and I wanted to slap him and say "SERIOUSLY?!?!" but he totally makes up for his stupidity.

The writing was amazing. We had Mira's POV and Skylar's POV. There were flashbacks also but it was totally east to keep up with. I will warn you, there are a few grammar issues but I know from the author they are going to be fixed. PLEEEASE don't judge the book on that...look past it, all of us make mistakes and I know for a fact that when I am deep in thought typing, my brain is working way faster than my fingers and I mess up so like I said, look past it, all books have mistakes, it doesnt make the book though.

Ok NOW, the ending.... BEST ENDING EVER!!! While, yes, its a cliffhanger, and I HATE cliffhangers, I have to say it was SOOO worth it and I want nothing more than to continue with this story. LOOOOVE IT!!
There will be a novella coming out soon and then book 2 Awakening which should be out in October so you wont have too much of a wait. I cant tell you how much I recommend this book. It is AMAZING!! I swear you will love it!!!

HOLY FLIPPING PANCAKES WITH A SIDE SMACK MY RAINBOW SKITTLE LOVING ASS!! Ashley Suzanne just took me on an AMAZING journey over the past 2 ½ hours of reading MIRAGE!! Ashley weaves us through a love triangle by making us laugh, cry, lust, angry and then BAM.. she leaves me with my skittle filled mouth dropped wide open! In a unique twist, the reality we believe to be true, is actually the dreamer’s dream. As the dreamer awakes,we are left gasping at what has transpired all while she slept.
What if all you ever wanted was right in front of you all along? What if one small moment in time altered everything in your perfect universe? Wouldn't you do anything for the one true powerful love of your life?
Mira seems to have the perfect life. In just a short while, she would be marrying the man of her dreams, Danny Thomas. (Oh and by the way, Danny is one hunk of a motorcycle loving badass romantic that I would happily lick from head to toe and other regions… AHEM). In one horrific turn of events, a motorcycle crash spins Mira’s reality into a tragic mournful nightmare. Destroyed by the loss of her fiancée, she finds herself lost and drowning in her own grief. With the kind push of her best friends, she finally realizes that her world wasn't the only one that was destroyed, so was Danny’s best friend Skylar. ( Skylar…OH PLEASE MAY I HAVE HIM ASH? P-L-E-A-S-E!!! YUMLICIOUS doesn’t describe this man. I bet he would be yummy in whip cream and skittles** wiping drool from my face). Anyways…. On with my review….
It had been love at first sight the day he first saw Mira. Just as he was about to approach the girl who took his breath away, his best friend Danny Thomas (Prrrrr….) beats him to the punch. Not wanting to be sore at his best friend, Skylar pushes his feeling aside. and watches over time as his best friend and Mira’s love bloom. (It’s okay baby…come to Momma!) But over time, his feelings for her never leave; in fact they grow even stronger. Spending time with them was torture , but anytime with her was worth it… Even knowing in the end she would never be his.
When he watches his best friend and the love of his life crash onto the pavement in front of him, Skylar’s whole world comes crashing to halt… literally. That is the moment fate intervenes and true love transpires.
But what do you do when you awaken from the nightmare only to see you have stepped into another? What if you closed your eyes loving one man and then awakened loving someone else beyond comparison?
I don’t want to spoil anything for readers, but I will say this… YOU MUST FLIPPING READ THIS BOOK!!! Like RIGHT NOW…ONE CLICK!!!!! BUY!!! EAT SKITTLES…LUST, DROOL AND READ!!!
I am left speechless and gasping for more. Ashley Suzanne, you have me sitting in my rainbow unicorn universe panting. There are only so many skittles in this world lady and I will be chomping through them as I read book two. FABULOUS JOB ASH!!!!!!! P.S. Please whichever you write off for Mira, I will happily take for myself , to ride off on my unicorn into the sunset!! MWAH!! 5 STARS BABY!!!!!

Starting with an emotional prologue and ending the book on a huge revelation, this books packs some serious punches in between. There is no shortage of angst from start to finish. You will find yourself screaming out loud “No!!! Please NO!!!” on more than one occasion.

The book begins a few days following college graduation of 4 close-knit friends. Danny and Mira have been a couple since freshman orientation and Skylar and Kylee are their best friends. Danny and Skylar have always been best friends and they love their motorcycles (**swoon** you had me at motorcycle). When they would ride their motorcycles there was a silent language spoken between the two friends.

Danny and Mira have a sweet love between them. It is deep and strong and you can feel the depth of their love radiating from the pages.

“You’re it for me, Pea,” Danny said. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. We’re going to be so disgustingly happy, our friends are going to hate us,” he joked.

Unknown to Mira, Skylar has always loved her. In fact, Skylar saw her first at freshman orientation but Danny beat him to talking to her. In that moment, Skylar knew that he would never have a chance against Danny to vie for her attention or her love. He has sat in the sidelines harboring his love for 4 years. Now he has the opportunity to be closer to Mira than he ever imagined. Mira needs Skylar’s support and friendship, but can they distinguish between what is friendship and what is love? Do they take their friendship a step too far?

“…I turn to pull the door shut behind me. Bad idea. My eyes meet Skylar’s. I knew my eyes had tears in them, but I didn’t expect his eyes to be misty as well.”

Now Mira has lost the one person who was helping her keep it together. She needs to find her own strength and determination to keep moving forward and walk out of the past and into an unknown future. And when things start to finally make sense for her and she can see clearly what this future may hold, we are left with a HUGE…HUGE cliffhanger that will leave you blinking your eyes, rubbing them with your palms, and flipping the pages back to make sure you read this correctly. Yes folks…it’s that huge of a cliffhanger.

“I have never been more sure of anything. I am in love with you and you with me. What else is there to know?”

To answer the above question…There is PLENTY left for us to find out.

Favorite Quotes:

“My boss is the tri-fecta, sexy, smart and rich. I cannot go there with him.”

“If you've never had your hair washed by a lover, you're missing out. This was a first for me and it might be just as good as sex.”

“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between sleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.”

My Review:

Holy plot twist Batman! The story starts with with a traumatic event, followed by grief, sorrow, angst, more sorrow, more angst, a brief respite with some steam and things seem to be falling into place, but – unfortunate misunderstandings occur and it takes a considerable amount of time for them to find their footing and do the face-to-face thing again. While reading I noticed the narrative style was as if the narrators - alternating POV - were relating the story scene by scene to someone. The reasoning for that becomes apparent during the last 5% of the book. My mind is a bit blown, and I would be rather upset about the heinous cliffhanger if I didn't already have the whole series already loaded on my kindle, and I am eager to delve back in as I am more than curious where this will lead.

I want to start off by saying the ending to this book deserves 20 stars! And the book deserves just as many. I loved this book. In the beginning a horrible tragedy happens. I was soo happy it happened in the start, you don't get too attached to the one character. After tragedy strikes this group of friends try to move on with their life. Sky and Mira start to get close, a little too close. One night they give into their greif. Some things are said and that ends as fast as it started...
A year later Mira is working at a new job and falling for her boss, things are going good then her best friend and Sky come back into her life. Things get crazy again and these two are taken on a roller coaster of highs and lows. You can tell these two are meant for each other, their love is like Notebook love. Things are going amazing and then BAM....Something else happens....
That is all you get. May I say I have read LOTS of books, NONE have ended like this, this is the best ending and biggest mind f$#% I have EVER read in my book reading life. You MUST read this book to see what happens. Yes, it does have a bit of a cliffhanger, but seriously it is worth it and you can always find lots of books to keep you company until book 2 is out ;-)
Seriously, if you do not read this, you are missing out!!!
PS- Sky is one of the hottest and most wonderfullest book boyfriends ever to grace the book world! <3

Some quotes I loved:

"Well, sweetheart, here in America, when you have your junk covered, they consider that dressed,"

"Right here, lying with you, right now, is where I ' m supposed to be."

"Nope. These are the memories from my past. I loved Danny with my whole heart and hes gone now. I'm looking forward to making new memories with you.The only memories I want in a box, under my bed, from now on are our memories."

"My place is right here, Sky. If its okay with you, I'll be sharing your bed, for as long as you will have me."

" Sweets, I'll have you forever and always. I can't wait for tomorrow. I get to wake up with the most beautiful girl in the world, wearing my shirt and she loves me just as much as I love her."

"You ' re in here. You ' re so deep in my heart, there isn ' t room for anyone else."

"I do love you, but its more than love. I need you. I crave you. You ' re my forever. Do you love me?"

"You are the only person I have ever loved. I have always wanted to know what it felt like to kiss you. How I would feel kissing you? Now that I know that feeling, I don ' t know if I could ever give it up. I love you more than anything Mira. I always have and I always will."

I don't know what the fuss is all about. I saw 5 stars and hoped it'd be a really good read like what others says, that's why I purchased and started reading it. But then, nah, it didn't even meet my standards.

It's not that I've had read a lot of amazing books that this one couldn't be compared of...it's just that it wasn't really a worthy read.

I respect and truly liked that the author wrote this for her husband ad his friend. And I admit that made me more eager to read it.

Hence the start...
But the start was boring. I think the author was trying to make its readers cry (when her fiancee died) when actually it just frustrated me. I want to laugh because the accident was kinda lame. They were riding his motorcycle, her arms on his waist, and then bam, they hit a wall. I was like WTF? Asdfghjkl.

Still, I tried to read it more because I want to see...maybe, it's just the start that's annoying.
But no, the longer I read, the more I want to scream at Mira. The emotions weren't just right and she whines and she's just as annoying as the story. The way the story was executed epically failed for me.

And don't even get me started about the supposed-to-be scorching hot scenes. Plech.

This just didn't work for me.

Oh no she didn't. Seriously this book had me feeling a roller coaster of emotions, but the ending has to be one of the best i have read in a long time. When i saw my kindle book reach the ending i knew this was going to end with a cliff hanger, but any bigger that the one i just read i don't think it was possible.
Mira and Skyler's story is to be continued...
But still with the twist (which i will not spoil) their story is only just beginning. This is a love story that i just hope gets its HEA!!!

DNF @ 46%.

I did skim to the end to see how it all finished up. In some ways, the ending addresses many of the plot related issues I had with the book. I guess it explained all the odd an frankly unbelievable twists to turns to the plot line. I'm not sure that was the authors intention - but it could be a reasonable explanation.

That said, I didn't really like either of the main characters, and generally didn't enjoy the writing style, so even the surprise at the end didn't turn it around for me. I know a lot of people have enjoyed this one, but it wasn't for me.

This review will contain slight spoilers so...yeah.

I wanted to like this book and I guess I did, just a little bit, in the beginning but it didn't hold for me. What happens in the beginning is tragic but I couldn't feel the tragedy. I couldn't connect with Mira or Skylar as they grieved. For me it felt like everything happended so fast. Mira and Skylar hooking up and when the shit hits the fan right afterwards, it felt forced. I thought it was immature about how Skylar acted after they did the 'All I wanna do is Bang Bang Bang'. I was like Um dude...she lost her fuckin' fiance like 6 months ago so man the fuck up and understand why she said what she said after you know what happened between y'all two. Yes, if I were in Skylar's place it would hurt like a motherfucker but I would also understand and not take it to heart. And seriously fucker!? You are going to go out and bring a strange girl back to the apartment...the same night you finally had sex with the girl you "love"? *insert growl and a sharp shiny object here*

Mira's emotions seemed to be all over the place and it kind of made me dizzy but not too dizzy to where I bend over and hurl and land on my ass. Just a slight body sway and a touch to the wall. That kind of dizzy.

A certain part that didn't grip me, which I think was suppose too, was something that Mira accidently tells Skylar while at the CH (Club House)a year after their one night together. I think I might have eye rolled...not sure. And if I did, was that wrong? Does that make me a bad person? I hope not. I mean it's sad but for me it just didn't fit into the story. It felt like it was added just to have that "shock" factor to it.

Kylee...I absolutley adore her. She if sexy, slutty, an amazing best friend and so funny. She might be the only "alive" character that I enjoyed reading about. I enjoyed the flashbacks that had Danny in them, which were 99.9% of them. I could feel his love for her and that made me smile a sad smile.

I can honestly say that at first I was like "Um what is going on here?" while scratching my head towards the end. Then I was like "OH HOLY MOTHER OF FUCKING FUDGE SUCKERS!!!! I so did not see THAT coming. No way. No fuckin' way!

*This one didn't do it for me but I'm hoping that book two will grip me because I am so looking forward to see how things pan out.*

**There are some errors that I thought should have been caught if there were beta's or an editor. Nothing drastic but they are there.**

Until Next Time...

Happy Reading :)

I received this ARC copy for my honest, spoiler free opinion and I’m going to do my best to do just that.

First of all let’s give some props to MG Book Covers for creating this awesome book cover!

Mirage was an amazing ride! Right from the beginning there were so many emotions being portrayed I couldn’t help but get sucked in. The prolog itself had me feeling dizzy with excitement, fear and sadness. Which isn’t easy to do and Ashley Suzanne did it perfectly. This book for lack of better words was BEYOND AMAZING!!!! A love story that will leave you feeling like your heart has been stomped on.

We are thrown into a world with 4 college students, two sets of best friends, Mira and Kylee, and Danny and Skylar. They create an amazing bond, a bond most people wish they really had. Mira and Danny are engaged, there relationship is so sweet. I fell head over heals over all the cuteness! They have just graduated and unfortunately on the way to the celebration there is a tragic accident and everything goes to hell.

The story moves on to the grieving and healing, which was so damn sad! I don’t want to say too much but I will say this…friends lean on friend when times are tough and that’s exactly what happened. And people are brought together under tough circumstances such as grief. We are provided a story line that seemed to fall perfectly, things seem to get better for everyone. My heart was mending the heartache until the end and then I was like “OH HELL NAW” what just happened. All those happy thoughts shattered. And then I was sad again. I read this book in a matter of a few hours. And when I was finished I felt I needed more.

I have high hopes that there will be a sequel, there just has to be. It’s just that good.!

I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE!

This just in the book is now LIVE, i suggest you all “1-click” this amazing novel!

So I just finished this AMAZING book and I had to wait a day to review it because if I had reviewed it right after I finished, this would have been my entire review:

Oh my freaking GAWD and WHAT THE MOTHER EFFING HELL just happened???

Obviously that wouldn't have told you much but I think it gets the point across as to how CRAZY and emotional I felt after finishing this book. Seriously, I pride myself on being able to figure out what is going to happen in a book about 98% of the time and I did NOT see this one coming! I was so distraught and overwhelmed I had to call in back up (people who have already read the book) to calm me down and talk me off of the ledge! There were tears and A LOT of eff words dropped before I finally reeled it in and pulled myself together!

Without giving away any spoilers, Mirage is a love story/kinda love triangle about Mira, Danny and Skylar. There are motorcycles, super steamy love scenes and a whole lot of angst! This book kept my attention from beginning to end and I read it in less than 24 hours! It literally PAINED me every time I had to put it down. I barely fed my kids...only managing to scatter some Froot Loops on the table every couple of hours...and I may or may not have found time for at least one shower.

I strongly recommend you clear your schedule before you start reading it because you will NOT want to stop! Be prepared with an arsenal of tissues, wine and something soft to bang your head against when you are yelling "OMG! OMG! OMG!" This is an incredible debut novel and definitely a MUST read!

Mirage by Ashley Suzanne
5 Stars

Ashley Suzanne, how dare you write a book like this!!!!!! Wow. Just Wow. How could you leave us hanging like this? I need to know what happens and I need to know yesterday!!! Honestly folks, it is gonna be so hard for me to write a review because the ending is such a twist and a HUGE cliffie. I am still a little in shock of the ending. I will try my best even though I am still sitting here shaking my head (and stamping my foot). This book had it all, love, loss, steamy sex, heartache, friendship…you name it, it had it. So here it goes…
Mira and Danny are engaged and in college with their two best friends Skylar and Kylee. Four best friends, closer then siblings. Until tragedy strikes and only three of them are left to pick up the pieces and try to move on. So much happens in the year following the tragedy that I could not put this book down. I got so engrossed into the struggle of getting past their loss and trying to have some sort of closure that I was blindsided with the end. Blindsided. Out of nowhere. Bam. Double Bam.

And now here is where you are going to hate me. I’m not telling you anything else!!!! I just can’t. I really, really can’t. You need to experience this book without any preconceived notions about it. I want to do the book justice and by doing that I won’t say anything else about it!!! I am soooo glad I didn’t read any reviews because I would not have wanted it spoiled for me. Take it from me, Ladyballs, that this is a must read book. You will not be disappointed people!!!! I wouldn’t steer you wrong.
Lastly, for the love of god Ashley Suzanne, get the next book out quick!!!!

This book was amazing. The book sucks you in right from the beginning. Mira and Kylee meet Danny and Skylar on there first day of college. They all become friends. By the end of college Danny and Mira are engaged. The books starts with tragedy striking after graduation. There is present day and flashbacks written in so that you get a great feel for the characters. The characters are so well written that you can't help but feel emotional for them.
This book was awesome. The ending blow me away. I never expected that ending and look forward to reading more. Ashley Suzanne wrote a beautiful well written story. This is a definite must read.

I was left with my jaw hitting the floor.

You love, you grieve, you pull yourself together and learn to live and love again.

We meet Mira her best friend Kylee, her fiance Danny and his best friend Skylar. They have just graduated from college and are off to celebrate their new lives.

Then tragedy hits and everyone is affected. They slowly learn to lean on each to overcome this tragedy. They start moving on and there is some bumps in the road. Just when everything seems great and we see the HEA at the end of the tunnel......
BAM we get hit with the most unexpected turn.

You are left hanging and wanting much much more! I just hope there is a follow up in the very near future.

An amazing story that had me on an emotional roller coaster that I did not want to end. I love each and everyone of the characters and their relationships. Mira, Danny & Sky...what a trio. The love, loss, friendship, wanting and needing was so overwhelming at times but you just craved for more. Mira is such a strong character that I can't help but hope that she gets everything that she deserves. There are twist in this story that at times can take your breath away just to give it back to you with another emotion. I truly did enjoy this story and I am so waiting the the next book. I want more, now!

Oh.my!!! Excellent debut - it kept me interested throughout. This story is about 4 best friends and one tragic night on graduation day. Mirage is about love, loss, mistakes and finding love again. There are twists that I did not expect, as well as a cliffhanger (which was unexpected because I thought this was a stand alone book)....I truly enjoyed Mirage and will definitely read the second book in the series. Great read!

The writing to me was juvenile at best and I cannot understand all of the four and five star ratings. So I am just going to say it must be me, so don't let me sway anybody who is interested in this book. It's almost a PNR because it's all a "dream."
The author's attempts to make a college age boy into a bad MC enforcer was ridiculous and silly to me. The H did more crying in the book than the h did.

Mirage was a breathtaking book I absolutely loved. Not like all the same romance, love stories. It has some twists and turns. I was hooked from the first page. You will not be disappointed, it was written at a fast pace which kept me reading until I finished. I cannot wait for book2, I need more Mira, Danny and Skyler like TODAY.
Happy reading:)
