Algunas de las traducciones han sido brutales. Se nota sobretodo que el manga tiene toques más maduros que el anime porque ha habido escenas en la que me he quedado bastante muerta.

Este tomo sigue tendiendo un carácter más adulto que el manga y alguna que otra escena más subida de tono. 👀

Como en el manga no hay canciones la historia avanza mucho más rápido, por no decir que no tiene ni la mitad de relleno que tiene el anime 🤭

El dibujo es precioso y se ve la evolución de la mangaka del primer a este segundo tomo.

La historia se me hace un poco inconexa en algunas partes. Hay situaciones que pasan sin una explicación muy clara... En estas partes he tirado de mi recuerdo del anime para llenar esas lagunas.

También hay escenas que son diferentes al anime y entiendo por qué en el anime las cambiaron 😂 en el manga algunas de ellas no tienen mucho sentido.

Adoro el humor de las pichi y adoro a Rina 💚 sigue siendo mi personaje favorito y no creo que cambien 🤭 team Rina por siempre 🤭💚💚💚💚

Y las portadas son tan bonitas 🥺💕

Adoro las pichi aun con sus cositas no tan buenas, así que... Lo recomiendo 🤭😻

[ADVERTENCIA: ESTA RESEÑA CONTIENE SPOLIERS DE LA TRAMA Y COMPARACION ENTRE EL MANGA Y EL ANIME DEL 2003]

Perdón, pero es que ME ENCANTO EL VOLUMEN 2. OBRA MAESTRA.

En este segundo volumen. Vemos los capítulos 6-10 del manga. Que para el anime, sería entre los capítulos 10 - 15 (si estoy confundida por favor decidme. Pero estoy segura que el capítulo 06 del manga equivale al 12 y 13 del anime). Y que les puedo decir? Es un mate de risa todo. Y como el arco de Gaito es mucho más detallado que en el anime. Sinceramente, ya me estoy acostumbrando al sistema del manga y se ha vuelto muy adictivo.

Claramente me siento muy a gusto con los personajes que vamos conociendo en el manga. Y hay momentos muy ICONICOS en el manga y en el anime. Me mato mucho de risa la versión del manga del capítulo cuando Kaito se enfermó por culpa de María. Y es que, en el anime Luchia tiene una piedra para controlar sus emociones. Pero en el manga, todo fue por una coca cola y es que no puedo JAJAJAJAJAJJA.

Rina siempre iconic. Quien no lo acepte los losiento. RINA SIEMPRE ICONIC PARA TODA LA VIDA 🛐.

También tengo que recalcar. Que el sueño de Kaito con Gaito (Ya que el suelo de Kaito va para los capítulos 40-50), está en el tomo 2. Mostrando que poco a poco la trama se volverá más hardcore de lo habitual y tengo que saber que pasa en los otros 5 tomos. Que no puedo quedarme así.

Vale, creo que sería todo por ahora. Tengo que leerme el volumen 3 antes de que me gane la ansiedad. Nos vemos ^^

ES QUE ME HE REÍDO MUCHÍSIMO. Este tomo tiene de todo. Desde el amiga date cuenta, pasa de ti, de Rina hasta la escena en la que Luchia se emborracha JAJAJA no puedo más. La historia de amor entre Kaito y Luchia se desarrolla mucho más en el manga que en el anime, y es de agradecer, porque les estoy shippeando a full. Arechi saca ya el tercer tomo por favor 😬😬😬

¡Tan mamarracho como el primer tomo! Entre que las sirenas son un poco atolondradas y a las diablesas les falta un hervor, tenemos un cast de personajes increíble y con el que no puedes parar de reírte. Además, las situaciones en las que se meten las protagonistas son tan ridículas que resultan cómicas (Ósea, LUCHIA SE EMBORRACHA CON COCA COLA PORQUE TIENE BURBUJAS. Me parece el pico de la comedia). Me estoy divirtiendo como una enana leyendo este manga y tengo muchísimas ganas de leer el siguiente.

This series is certainly something, and I can see why it's such a popular kid's anime. I love the art work, and the story is cute and all but eh. Things are happening really quickly and lots of things are too abrupt, and I mean TOO ABRUPT, and all the fight scenes are about a page or two - for manga that's nothing. So the persistent bad guy comes to attack, the mermaid's sing to him, and he's gone because the pitch hurt his ears? And as far as the romance, it's not doing much for me either. Well it was only volume two, so I'm putting a lot of faith in the other five.

Hoy os traigo mi opinión acerca de los dos primeros tomos de una obra manga que fue la infancia de muchos lectores: “𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙙𝙮: 𝙋𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙞 𝙋𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙞 𝙋𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝” de 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘬𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘬𝘰𝘵𝘦 & 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪 📚

Y digo que fue la infancia de muchos porque su anime fue un boom en su momento (𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦, 𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘪 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘰, 𝘯𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘪́𝘢 𝘭𝘢 𝘰𝘣𝘳𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘢 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰 😅)

Se trata de una obra shojo publicada en 2002 y con un anime de 2003-2004, aproximadamente, que llegó a España en 2008 y fue, como digo, un✨éxito✨

Veinte años después de su publicación, nos llega su esperada traducción en español gracias a la editorial @arechimanga 🇪🇸

La trama 👉🏻 Luchia Nanami debe encontrar a las otras 6 princesas sirenas y sus perlas mágicas e invocar a la reina de los mares, pues un peligro acecha en ellos 🧜🏻‍♀️

Lo malo es que ella misma perdió su perla hace años tras dársela a un niño que casi murió ahogado y del cual se enamoró (𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢, 𝘴𝘪́)

El primer tomo sirve para presentarnos a gran cantidad de personajes. Los diálogos son divertidos, el tira y afloja que se traen 𝙺𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚘 y 𝙻𝚞𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚊 engancha mucho aunque, admito, que se me han hecho muy cortos, y me habría encantado encontrar algo más de desarrollo, sobre todo en la parte en la que luchan contra las villanas 🔥

Por cierto, el detalle de poner los datos de los personajes me parece perfecto 🤩

Entiendo que sea una completa necesidad si marcó tu infancia 👍🏻

Amor cani al cuadrado. Vamos a ver, esta es una historia que tiene todas las red flags del mundo y soy perfectamente consciente de ello.Luchia es una señora que tiene de asignatura favorita economía doméstica (fregar y lavar, que no te engañen) y busca a un chico que la proteja y con el que se sienta sola cuando no está a su lado. Osea, por favor, paremos esto. Aún así me siento encandilado por sus frases surrealistas, que vienen con línea directa desde los años 2000 al corazón de toda la gente (entre la gente estoy yo). Mi top 1 de este volumen es: "Soy la mariposa que ha salido de la crisálida de las preocupaciones. ¡Rejuveneceré esa piel reseca con mi renacida e irresistible voz melodiosa!" Aunque hago mención honorífica a "¡que pava eres!" por repetirse hasta la saciedad.

Mira que le tengo cariño a Mermaid Melody por lo importante que fue para mí en mi infancia, y siempre tendrá un huequito en mi corazón, pero ufffff que mal ha envejecido. No sé qué he llevado peor, si lo tóxica de la relación de Luchia y Kaito, el rollo extraño entre Hanon y su profe o todo el tema de “ya soy una adulta de 13 años y puedo hacer cositas de pareja de adultas teehee”. Definitivamente, duro de leer en este nuestro año 2024 del señor.

Mermaid Melody is probably one of the more internationally successful magical girl manga series out there and I apologise to all its fans: I think it's a dreadful manga. That being said, I'd like to stress that this is strictly referring to the manga rather than its anime adaptation. While I have not seen the anime, I can well imagine that it has smoothed out some of the bigger issues I have with this series and it's certainly not the premise that is bad. But before I get into details, I have to ask: who on earth thought Wet and Wonderful is a good marketing slogan for this?

Magical girl series are a little unrealistic and formulaic by nature - one needs to let go of some disbelief. But there are nonetheless many great series out there that own this genre; classics such as Sailor Moon and more recent ones that give it a bit of a modern spin like Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Between the classics and the new, there seems to be this niche of series that didn't manage to add anything new and thus didn't age well. Mermaid Melody helps itself to everything known in the magical genre and somehow manages to amplify everything in the worst way possible.

As a premise, we have mermaids that can quite conveniently take on the shape of humans. Their kingdoms are being attacked and they have to band together to eventually defeat whoever is causing all the havoc. We start off with Lucia, naturally, she is the pink mermaid. It is beyond me why she lives in Japan in human disguise, attends school and runs a bathing house. Let's call it plot convenience. Other mermaids pop up one by one to join the ranks and they're all spending a jolly good time as humans. Even when they are underwater, they seem to spend more time in human form than their true mermaid one.

Villains pop turn up in every other chapter, one more ridiculous than the other. Their ultra-evil plan is silly at best and easily thwarted: the mermaids win by singing songs. These action sequences, if they can be called such, consist of a page or two where the mermaids say a cheesy line about love conquers all and we're to assume their magical singing has saved the day. To stay true to the magical girl pattern: Lucia falls crazy in love with the first guy she sees and must keep her true identity a secret. But fear not, the young man has plenty of secrets of his own, the villains are actually sympathetic and love and friendship save the day.

None of this is new, and none of this is in and of itself bad. The problem lies within the execution and that already starts off with absolutely horrible pacing. It takes as little as 15 pages for the story to cover the prequel, the basic premise, the introduction of the main characters, the meeting of the love interest, their first argument and events just trip over each other left and right. The scenes jump around like crazy which makes every single interaction and reaction of the characters wholly unbelievable. It was hard to feel anything for this story that was just moving around at a crazy speed resulting in undying emotions that I fail to grasp. This isn't even what I would call insta love, there is zero build-up in any of the romances or friendships, everything just happens. Characters are conveniently always at the right place and time.

One of my biggest issue with this series is the stark over-sexualisation. Magical girls are typically very young - Lucia is only thirteen years old but looks a good deal older physically. It's not unusual that they are made to look more mature, I also never thought that Sailor Moon looked like fourteen, but it's the treatment of it here that I find rather appalling. There are countless sexual allusions and so many panels where for whatever ridiculous reason Lucia's clothes come undone and she's naked in front of a crowd. Her love interest is constantly making remarks and giving hints. The mermaids themselves keep talking about being or looking sexy. I just kept shaking my head thinking these girls are hardly even teenagers! The worst part was the soda drink, though. I can't decide whether it was idiotic or lazy writing - maybe both? Lucia visits her love interest while he is sick. She helps herself to a can of soda and forgets that mermaids become drunk from soda. I don't even know where to start: is Lucia that stupid that she'd forget it? It's like saying a thirteen-year-old would forget beer is alcohol. But the concept itself is what really gets me: it's so absurd, I think I prefer vampires that sparkle in the sun. And of course, this was only a means to an end to get Lucia to jump into bed with the guy and press herself against him - breasts-and-all. This scene was not sexy, it was absurd and given their age rather disturbing.

I also took a lot of issues with the art. Don't get me wrong, the art is actually pretty cute. If you like shoujo style with big googly eyes, this might be for you. I love shoujo style so I'm certainly not put off by the style overall, strictly speaking, this is just my cup of tea. But I'd have to say that the artist was extremely lazy. There are plenty of panels and artworks that show that she can draw very nicely. But more often than not, the proportions are bizarre and completely out of place. I spent a good deal of time wincing at the weird angles of limbs or distorted faces feeling disappointed because I knew full well that the artist could have done a lot better.

I know I had a lot more on my mind as I was reading this - I already didn't like it much a decade ago but this reread only seems to have made it worse. It is cliché upon cliché, awful pacing, characters without any depth, inappropriate sexual content given the age group and lots of content that had me speechless with its stupidity. I apologise again to those who love this series but I do not share your sentiment. It may seem surprising that I am still giving this a two-star rating. I'm probably being generous here but I do see this working rather well as an anime version and I do like the mermaid premise and there are some pretty cute designs. But goodness me, the plot needs a rewrite and either the characters need to be given some extra years on top or please save the sexual contents for an office romance or something.

¡Me ha ENCANTADO! 😍
Aunque tiene similitudes con el anime, hay muchos detalles que sólo aparecen en el manga.
Me choca un poco como conocen a la cuarta princesa, Karen. Me parece más misterioso en el anime, pero no está nada mal, también deja lugar para el misterio.
Aparecen muchas más escenas sobre Gaito. Esa parte de la trama me da la impresión que va más ligera, por lo que estoy deseando ver si se desarrolla más que en el anime.
ADORO las ilustraciones 😍 son preciosas, me dan ganas de comprarme los tomos en físico solo por eso 🤩

Luchia ist nach dem Kuss mit Kaito zu Silvester noch total durch den Wind. Als ihre Freundinnen ihr vorschlagen, dass sie ihm Schokolade zum Valentinstag schenken kann, ist sie zunächst von der Idee ganz angetan, doch wen liebt Kaito wirklich? Die Meerjungfrau Luchia oder das Menschenmädchen Luchia. Als die Geburtstagszeremonie von Luchia ins Haus steht, lassen ihre Freundinnen Kaito in den Meerespalast holen, wo er ihr bei einem Angriff durch Gakuto zur Seite steht. Doch dann bittet er Luchia, dass sie ihn vergessen und meiden soll. etwas, was ihr das Herz bricht. Doch sie beschließt nicht aufzugeben und so beginnt auf der Jagd nach den Perlen der Meerjungfrauen und den Prinzessinen ein lustiges Katz- und Maus-Spiel zwischen Luchia und Kaito.

Wieder einmal hat Pink Hanamori mit ihrem Zeichenstil und ihrer niedlichen Story begeistert. Zwar ist die Geschichte in ihrem Ablauf oft sehr sprunghaft, münzt dies aber durch witzige und vor allem niedliche Szenen wieder auf. Der Manga lässt sich leicht und flüssig lesen und lädt dazu ein, die Seele baumeln zu lassen, wahrend man darauf hofft, dass die beiden Protagonisten endlich zueinander finden und man sich immer wieder fragt, was es denn mit dem Gegner Gakuto auf sich hat und warum er Kaito so ähnlich sieht. Herzallerliebst ist natürlich auch wieder der sprechende Pinguin, der immer in den unpassendsten Momenten bei den Mädels auftaucht.

Den Manga empfehle ich allen Mädels und Fans von Magical-Girl-Serien. Ihr werdet es nicht bereuen, die Geschichte ist einfach nur zuckersüß!

Segundo tomo de la serie y cada día me enamoro massss✨

En este segundo manga nos encontramos con la que es obviamente la continuación del primero🥹 5 capítulos para disfrutar y conocer a nuestras sirenas.

Adoro con locura a los personajes, especialmente a Luchia 😍 y Kaito 🛐 (creo que ya lo dije😂)

Lo que más me apasiona de la serie y de los libros de #pichipichipitch es el romance.
He llorado tanto cada vez que la veo…🥺
Me hace sentir muchas cosas y ver esa evolución en los personajes y en la propia historia hace que te adentres aún más en ella, que te apasione.

He comprobado que enseña muchas cosas🥹🫶 y me hacen pensar mucho. No es una simple serie de animes de sirenas.

Es una historia mágica que me ha hecho sentir todo y que jamás me cansaré de verla.

Pese a que no haya canciones y las eche un poco de menos me sigue encantando la historia, aunque es verdad que haya partes que parece a las que le falten explicación (creo que eso el anime lo mejoró un poco), a mí me sigue encantando. Hay situaciones súper random que no me extraña en parte que cambiaran en el anime jajajaja cómo la parte de la borrachera de Luchia, que no recuerdo que les afectasen así las burbujas 🤣🤣 luego, la parte de la sirena de Gaito... aquí queda aún más claro que hay algo más entre ellos.

No recuerdo que Karen apareciese así, de hecho venía bastante enfadada 🤔 pobre Hippo que no le hacen ni caso y lleva diciendo todo el rato que ha aparecido otra princesa 🤣

Ay Luchia y Kaito enfadándose por tonterías jajajajaja si es que en verdad tienen 13 años, la edad del pavo, que tanto llama él a Luchia pava, es real jajajaja

Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch, segundo tomo de la serie escrita por Michiko Yokote. La trama continúa con la misma dinámica del tomo anterior. Luchia, junto a Hanon y Rina, están viviendo experiencias como humanas. Al cumplir la mayoría de edad en el mundo de las sirenas, Luchia debe bajar a las profundidades del mar hasta llegar a su reino para festejar el acontecimiento más importante de su vida, pero varios imprevistos harán de este día algo diferente e inusual. Hay capítulos muy interesantes en este tomo, hay cierto acercamiento entre dos personajes que dejan al lector con la miel en los labios y ganas de saber mucho más. La autora profundiza mucho más en cada uno de sus personajes, y me parece una verdadera maravilla que el anime sea tan fiel al manga. Si ya tenía ganas de leer el manga de mi adolescencia, ahora estoy ansiosa por que salgan los próximos tomos.

I wish I could say that this series has improved from the first book, which I gave a grain of salt, but thus far with book two, I'm not seeing much in the way of improvement at all.

The art is still cute, and the larger plot is picking up and getting revealed, but we still are skimped on character development for...well, pretty much everyone. We continue to get next to nothing in the way of the side characters, and our MC and her LI haven't grown much at all either. The pacing is still very erratic and difficult to keep up with.

I want to like this series so much, but it is so very rough and difficult to read. Will I keep going? Yes. I wound up with copies of the third and fourth volumes before I ever got volume 2. Will I love it? Only time will tell, I suppose.

Me lo he leído en horas de lo bueno que es.

Me encanta este segundo tomo, muchísimo más que el primero. Hay diferencias notables en la historia con respecto al anime, pero me gusta mucho más como lo cuentan en el manga.

Los enfrentamientos con las diablesas son muy divertidos y amenos. Y Kaito es más intenso, lo cual me encanta 😻.

El detalle de poner los datos de los personajes me parece perfecto, he podido describir cositas de ellas que me han sorprendido (las chicas son muy bajitas, pero la más alta es Luchia, yo pensaba que era Rina).

Y aunque haya cambios en él manga, la esencia es la misma que en el anime.

Solo espero una cosa, que la princesa de la Perla violeta no sea tan irritante que el anime JAJAJAJA

Relecture rapide et sympathique mais qui ne nous transporte pas vraiment. En revanche le graphisme est toujours aussi joli. J'ai hâte de lire le troisième volume qui dans mes souvenirs de jeunesse était un des meilleurs.

Al leer el manga, me doy cuenta de que hay varias cosillas que cuando era más pequeña no me había dado cuenta. Es verdecilla la serie🤔😅. Se hacen insinuaciones, que si se han acostado, que si le gustan sus pechos, que se ponga un bikini más pequeño para enseñar más o que si Hippo es un mirón pervertido. Que Luchia acaba de tener 13 años. Son unos salidorros🤣🤣🤣
