Another sweet love story in Mirabelle. This series is just so cute and makes me want to hold my friends and family close :) I like that there is a strong message about friends and family alongside the romance. This one was a bit steamy for my personal taste but I have been waiting many books to get Shep's story and find out about his past. It was sweet, romantic and heartfelt.

"So fucking beautiful it hurts. And, man, does it hurt. Don’t do it, Finn. Don’t fall in love. ’Cause you can’t go back from it. It’s irreveribles. Irreversbiel. Irreversible.”

Shannon Richard's Unforgettable is what second chances romance should be about.
The moment when Shep takes you back to the moment his eyes fell on her, was epic. The way Shannon portrayed the character's feelings is very engaging and you'll feel every moment as though you bear witness.

I really enjoyed this one.

It's a first of Shannon's work for me, and I'm looking forward the next ones.

Shannon Richard's Country Roads series is the literary equivalent of a warm, cozy blanket. You know you're going to get a story that warms your heart and leaves you with a smile on your face. In Unforgettable, that story belongs to Hannah and Shep...

Unforgettable picks up on the Hannah/Shep threads started in the previous book, Unstoppable, with Hannah being the only woman to ever break Shep's heart. They fell in love as teenagers during Hannah and her Gigi's vacation in Mirabelle. When she left thirteen years ago, both of their hearts broke and Shep hadn't seen her again until that night in the bar. The story picks right up with that premise and fills us in on what took Hannah away from Mirabelle and how they both found different ways to try to move on with their lives. The death of Hannah's beloved Gigi brings her back to Mirabelle and the reader can't help but think Gigi had a plan brewing all along. When Hannah and Shep see each other again, they both recognize that the spark is still there. Through some massive misunderstandings, they are both still nursing broken hearts and a bit of a grudge -- Hannah especially. It doesn't take long for chemistry to win out, though, and Shep starts making plans to leave Mirabelle with Hannah... until an old secret comes to light and threatens to end their happiness for a second time.

I loved both Hannah and Shep; they made for a wonderful, fiery couple. Hannah was done being the doormat she found herself becoming in New York and didn't hesitate to tell Shep to back off in the beginning of the book. The only problem was that he didn't listen! Slowly, Shep was able to bring down Hannah pseudo barriers (because she really wanted him all along!) and show her what he already knew -- that he had met the only woman for him thirteen years ago and he wasn't letting her get away again. Paige and Brendan from the series debut Undone will always have a special place in my heart, but I definitely think Hannah and Shep were the hottest couple of the series. Their chemistry was electric from their very first run in and it only ratcheted higher once they were together. Shep knew what he wanted between the sheets and he wasn't shy about telling Hannah... or getting her to tell him what she wanted. This one has a high heat level -- cold showers not included!

My favorite thing about this series is the colorful cast of characters and Unforgettable doesn't disappoint in this regard. Though Hannah comes to Mirabelle alone, she is soon taken in by the wonderful group of ladies from the previous books including Paige, Mel, and Grace. Shep gets some tough love from the other guys in the series and from his younger brother Finn. We also get to meet his adorable family and learn what is driving him to change his ways and become a dependable, solid man.

Unforgettable is the perfect "feel good" romance read to kick off 2015. Fans of the series will love this Country Roads installment and new readers should be able to jump in here with very little complications as well. Here's hoping that Shannon Richard has another story up her sleeve soon... maybe a happy ending for Finn???

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Until I saw this book on Netgalley, I was not aware of the "Country Roads" series. I read the synopsis and it seemed like a book I would like, since I enjoy second chance romance storylines. I fell in love with all the characters in this book and I will definitely be reading the previous books. I need to know all their stories!

Hannah and Shep spent the summer together thirteen years ago in Mirabelle, Florida. While they were only together for three months, it was a very intense three months. Despite the fact that their relationship ended badly, these two never forgot each other and thirteen years later they are back in each others lives.

Hannah has become a successful lawyer in New York, while Shep has inherited the family business and stayed in Mirabelle. Even after thirteen years these two have off the charts chemistry. I highlighted so much of this book that it was hard to come up with something to quote. But then I started thinking about the things I liked best about the book and Shep's honesty came to mind. From the very beginning he made it very clear that he wanted Hannah back. He knew that having Hannah back in his life was a chance he couldn't waste. Of course Hannah is hesitant to start things up with Shep again and she sends him lots of mixed signals. Shep had the patience of a saint and I kept worrying that eventually he would give up on her. These two seemed to be made for each other and I wanted them to work it out.

Towards the end of the book Shep discovers the secret Hannah has been hiding and it almost destroys him. He gets drunk, shows up on Hannah's doorstep and proceeds to break my heart:

“I love you.”

“I know. I love you, too.”

“So why? Why do you keep hurting me?”

“Shep.” She reached up to touch his face, but he turned away from her, gently grabbing her hand and pulling it away.

“What did I do?” he asked, sitting up. “What did I do wrong?”

“Nothing.” She shook her head, running her hands up his shoulders and pulling his shirt from his arms.

He let her slip it off, and when his hands were free, he reached up, touching her face. “Then why can’t I have you?”

“You can. Shep, I—”

“Don’t leave me.” He leaned in, burying his face in her neck as his arms wrapped around her. “Please, Hannah. Don’t leave me.” His voice cracked, and tears hit her skin.

“I’m not going to.” She wrapped her arms around him, running her hands up and down his back.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

“Shep…” She couldn’t say anything. Her own tears clogged her throat, making it painful to talk.

He pulled her down onto the bed, and they stayed that way for God only knew how long until he finally fell asleep.

But sleep never came to Hannah, and she held him until well after the sun came up.

*Cue me crying like a baby.*

I think the unsung hero of the book is Hannah's deceased grandmother Gigi. I like to think that she knew exactly what she was doing when she sent Hannah back to Mirabelle. Hannah refers to Gigi as her best friend multiple times during the book and it seems as though Gigi knew Hannah better than Hannah knew herself. SMART LADY! I just wish we got more of her in this book.

I'm excited to go back and read about Shep's friends and how they found love. I loved the banter between all of them and I want to get to know them better.

I don’t think I’m being spoilery at all when I tell you what their devastating secret is. Simply because it’s in the short prologue and helps the reader to understand Hannah’s hesitation throughout the book. Long story short, Hannah and Shep meet when they are teenagers while Hannah and her grandmother are visiting Mirabelle, Florida. Their summer fling (that meant so much more than a fling) ended when Hannah left for college. But not long into her freshman year Hannah finds that she’s pregnant. And not long after she confirms the pregnancy but before she can tell Shep she loses the baby. When she does finally muster up the courage to call him, Shep has apparently moved on.

Fast forward thirteen years. Hannah’s grandmother had bought the inn they stayed at in Mirabelle all those years ago and has left it to Hannah after her death. The last thing Hannah wants to do is visit the one place where she might run into the guy that broke her heart. But to find closure and to sell the property she has no choice but to visit Mirabelle. And, of course, it doesn’t take long before she runs into the unforgotten, Nathaniel Shepard. His presence proves to be even more confusing and upsetting than she expected. Sparks still fly between them but there’s that big 13 year old secret sitting between them and Hannah doesn’t know how to tell Shep the one thing she should have told him years ago.

What Hannah doesn’t understand is that she isn’t the only with a broken heart. Shep knew before she ever left Mirabelle that Hannah was the only girl for him. But she had made it clear she wasn’t sticking around and that what they had was just a summer fling. So he let her go without a fight. Now that she’s back he’s not going to make the same mistake. This time Shep is pulling out every weapon in his arsenal to get Hannah to understand that they belong together. One of those weapons is the unbelievable chemistry between the two of them.

If you’ve read any of the previous Country Roads series you probably already got the idea that Shep oozes sex and confidence. And he really does. He is unbelievably blunt and forward in expressing (and demanding) what he wants. So much so that after finishing Unforgettable I tweeted, “Holy Sexy Shep! I need a cold shower. Or Three.” Shannon Richard’s response?

“Hahahaha, he made me blush more than a few times. But the man knows what he wants.”

Ain’t that the truth? He knows EXACTLY what he wants. He wants the girl that got away. And he wants her for the long haul.

And Hannah? My heart broke for her. I understand first-hand how that type of loss can hurt and make you feel crippling apprehension about so many things. But she’s not broken and in the end she has to decide if she can be strong enough to put herself in an emotionally vulnerable situation that has already hurt her once before and could possibly destroy her the second time around.

There was some obvious angst in this story but with such spirited main characters it was never overwhelming. This was a super sexy and fast paced romance and I absolutely adored it. Shannon Richard’s just keep getting better and better. Her books have quickly become auto-buys for me and I can’t wait to see what she releases next.

My review cross-posted from Wit and Sin: http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2015/01...

I love a good reunion romance and Unforgettable is a wonderful one. Shannon Richard’s fourth Country Roads novel will make you smile one moment and break your heart the next. It’s an engrossing romance thanks to its interesting leads and their fantastic chemistry.

Hannah and Shep first fell in love as teenagers, but when they chose to end their summer romance and follow their planned life paths, their lives changed irrevocably. It’s been thirteen years, but neither Hannah nor Shep have forgotten each other or the heartbreak their separation caused. Now that Hannah is back in Mirabelle, Shep can’t bear to lose her again. But things aren’t exactly easy. It takes patience and trust on Shep’s part and a willingness to risk her heart once again on Hannah’s for these two to get together. And when they do…watch out because Unforgettable heats up fast. Shep and Hannah are truly made for each other in every way and their every encounter crackles with energy. The obstacles in their romance are mostly due to a lack of communication and the occasional misunderstanding. Though I wanted to shake them and tell them to just open up to one another a couple of times over the course of the story, Ms. Richard did make me understand where both Shep and Hannah were coming from. Hannah in particular had to deal with a powerful loss; she bears an emotional scar that will never truly heal and it affects her present-day relationship with Shep. There’s a wealth of emotion in Unforgettable that keeps you invested in the story. I hated having to put the book down and I was rooting for Hannah and Shep every step of the way.

Unforgettable is the fourth book in Ms. Richard’s Country Roads series, but having only read one other book in the series I think it’s safe to say this story can be read as a standalone. There are some minor spoilers from Undone, Undeniable, and Unstoppable, so if you absolutely hate spoilers start from the beginning. Also brought over from the previous books are some delightful former heroes and heroines. Shep’s group of friends are funny and charming and they add tons of warmth to Unforgettable . All in all I adored Hannah and Shep’s romance and I cannot wait to read the rest of the Country Roads series!

3.5 stars What a sweet, cute story about second chance romance. Oh, and with a side of seriously delicious smexy times.

The plot was fairly predictable, but I enjoyed settling in for the journey and just enjoying the story of Hannah and Shep. Miscommunication from thirteen years ago led to a long separation, but the love never subsided. The moment the two of them saw each other the pull was still there.

Nate was hot and who doesn’t love a reformed manwhore? He never seemed to have gotten over Hannah, and he was so open about how he felt. I loved his honesty and how he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was confident enough to just lay it all out there and I loved that about him. It also didn’t hurt that his body was F.I.N.E. and he had plenty of tattoos.

Hannah was a little harder to love in the beginning. I wanted to shake her half the time and shout at her to let it go and talk about what was eating her up…but instead she kept it bottled up and held a grudge. It felt like she played a lot of mind games, but luckily Shep was persistent and never gave up on her. She grew on me more by the end and I did warm up to her.

The romance was meant to be and the chemistry was hot. Really hot. Every scene felt fresh and new. Every thought and touch was full of meaning, and these two were meant to be together.

While I could see the ending coming it was still enjoyable and I do love myself a HEA. I was happy to get an epilogue and see that it still worked out down the road.

Would I rec this? If you are in need of some sweet second chance romance with some sizzling chemistry, this is a great addition to your TBR.

This one might just be my favorite yet out of the series, but I'm thinking we still have Shep's brother Finn to get a story and the hot new fire chief so we'll see if this stays my favorite. Hannah she's not a meek or mild girl that girl can sass more than than a cray cray grandma, "...thirdly stop bossing me around like I'm your little woman...." Shep seems to only have one thing on his mind when his Hannah is around, "I was being serious." Serious as a effing heart attack. She was wearing a skirt, too, so it provided easy access." Shep has this gift of always knowing what his going on in Hannah's mind, "her knees buckled just a little as she imagined that mouth of his licking something else. "Maybe later," he said, correctly guessing her thoughts." He's an easy man to please if his girl is wearing the right outfit, "babe, I'm down for any and all activities that involve you in that bikini." When you haven't seen each other for thirteen years it's obvious you're going to give compliments:
"These seem bigger than I remember."
She laughed, reaching down and cupping him. "Interesting, I was thinking the same about you."
I honestly can't wait to see who's next Finn or that hot fire chief, I'm hoping it's the fire chief love me some firemen.

Quick & Dirty: Adorable romance full of great characters, wonderful humor, and awesome sexy times. I would highly recommend this entire series to anyone that likes an entertaining contemporary romance series.

Opening Sentence: Hannah Sterling snapped her cell phone shut for the fourteenth time, hanging it up with a loud thwack.

The Review:

Hannah Sterling has what most people would call a very successful life. She is a big time lawyer and a very confident woman that doesn’t need a man in her life to be happy. She has had a bunch of relationships in her life but none of them quite as life altering as the one with Nathaniel Shepard when she was 18 years old. But that was 13 years ago and she has moved on or at least she thought she had. Then her beloved grandmother passes away and leaves her an old inn that is located in the town of Mirabelle, Florida. The place that she met Shep all those years ago and the town that he still lives in. Going back brings back more feelings then Hannah wanted to feel and running into her first love is a lot harder then she thought it would be.

Nathaniel Shepard or better known as Shep, has lived his life pretty carefree. He works as a bartender at the family owned bar and has an amazing group of friends. The one thing he doesn’t have is a woman in his life. For a long time he enjoyed being a player, but a few years ago his grandfather passed away suddenly. In their last conversation his grandfather expressed how disappointed he is that Shep still hadn’t settled down and started a family of his own. Ever since Shep has been trying to lay off the casual hookups, and has tried to find someone to settle down with, but he hasn’t had any luck so far. Then the one girl to ever steal his heart comes back into town, but she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Letting Hannah leave him all those years ago is one of Shep’s biggest regrets in life and he vows that no matter what it takes he will win her back. But will their past and the hurt that they caused each other be too much for them to start over?

The mysterious Hannah has always intrigued me ever since I learned that she was the only woman that Shep has ever loved. I was very excited to meet her and get to know her story as well. She was very different then what I was expecting and for the most part I really loved her character. I loved her feisty attitude and I can really respect that she has made something of her life since leaving Mirabelle all those years ago. She is a very sweet person that hasn’t been shown a lot of love in her life, but that hasn’t stopped her from expressing love to others. The one thing that did bother me was how her actions would contradict her decisions so often. I get that she wants to be careful with her heart, but she would make a decision and the next thing you know she would be doing exactly what she said she wouldn’t. This wasn’t a huge flaw to her character but it did bother me at times throughout the story. Overall, I thought she was a great female protagonist and a great match for Shep.

I loved Shep from the very first book in the series. He is a sweet sexy guy and such a great friend. He has always had a lot of charm and been quite the ladies man. But he doesn’t really do relationships, at least not since Hannah. He is always giving advice to his friends and family about their personal lives, but when it comes to his own life he very rarely follows his own advice until Hannah comes back to town. Shep was so adorable with Hannah and I loved how determined he was to get her back. No matter how much she pushed him away he never gives up on her, which I really loved. They have a lot of history that they have to work through but that doesn’t stop Shep from going after what he wants. I loved reading his story and he was just as hunky in this book as he has been in all the previous books!

Unforgettable is a very cute contemporary romance that was entertaining to read. This is the fourth book in the Country Road series, and while this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, I still enjoyed it. I was really looking forward to reading Shep’s story, but I was a little disappointed with it. The rest of the books in this series seemed to bring out more emotions in me then this one did. I also felt like the story felt a little repetitive. I realize that the whole story is based off a second chance romance which can easily make a story feel repetitive and unfortunately this one did. I’m not saying that this wasn’t a good read because it was; I’m just wanted to point out why I didn’t quite like it as much as the previous books. Even though I didn’t love everything about this book I still loved reading it and thought that it was an adorable romance full of sexy times, and great characters. I loved seeing glimpses into all the previous characters I fell in love with, but it was fun to get to know the new characters as well. Like all the previous books in the series there is also lots of great humor spread throughout the story. I have really enjoyed this entire series and I am sad to see it end, but I can’t wait to see what Richards comes out with next. Overall, I would still recommend this to anyone looking for a fun steamy contemporary romance.

Notable Scene:

Hannah had immediately noticed Nathaniel Shepard the first time she’d seen him thirteen years ago. It had been at a distance, but there’d been no denying how good he looked. He’d worn his black hair long and shaggy, and even at eighteen his square, chiseled jaw had always been covered in five-o’clock shadow. As he’d been wearing sunglasses, she hadn’t seen his eyes then, but later she’d discovered the deep blue color that reminded her of sapphires and how they were surrounded by thick, dark lashes women everywhere would covet.

He’d been without a doubt the most attractive guy she’s ever seen.

And now? Now he was thirty-one and about thirty-one times more attractive.

Read my full review HERE at Into the Hall of Books.

*This book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone.

I've been head-over-heels for this series, this setting, and these characters for a while now. The books in this series are comfortably seated on both my "favorites" and "rereads" shelves. I was so excited to be able to read Unforgettable that I stayed up incredibly late to learn the story of Hannah and Shep. I FEEL LIKE I WAITED FOREVER FOR THEIR STORY AND IT WAS SO, SO WORTH IT. I read this book a month ago but I already want to read it again.

I talked previously in list-form HERE about why I love The Country Roads Series so much. It has everything to do with the great relationships between the friends, the family members, and the siblings as well as the fun small-town setting of Mirabelle, Florida. I love each couple that has been highlighted; I love their stories and their quirky personalities. I love their backstories and what brought them together. And I love that these stories are humorous enough to make me smile often while reading, but there is still depth and actual story in the pages.

While I've been smiling and gushing over the previous stories in the series, I wondered about Nathanial Shepard (aka "Shep") and when I would find out more about him. Ahhh, friends, that time is NOW.

In previous books, it was mentioned that a beautiful girl named Hannah Sterling broke Shep's heart after they spent a great summer together. After that summer, Hannah left to go to the big city and another life. In Unforgettable, Shep and Hannah get to tell their complete story, both past and present, and it is wonderful and happy and a little on the heartbreaking side too.

Another couple together, another happy-ever-after. I closed the book SO, SO HAPPY.

*******************************************

Shep is part-owner of his family's bar, the Sleepy Sheep, and an all around super-handsome guy. He's been noticed by pretty much every available lady around, but no matter what -- Shep's mind has never left Hannah Sterling. Even though he hasn't seen her in something like thirteen years, she is still the only woman he wants.

Hannah comes back to Mirabelle after inheriting an old Inn from her Grandmother. Hannah intends on maybe fixing it up and selling it, but Shep has other plans. He worms his way back into her life by helping her renovate the Inn, and he doesn't intend on letting her walk away. Pretty soon, Hannah is falling for Shep again and rethinking her future -- should she sell the Inn like she planned and go back to her job as a successful attorney...or should she stay in Mirabelle with Shep and all of the friends she has here? Hannah never feels as happy as she does when she is renovating her Inn, with Shep by her side. And she has never found herself thinking about and planning for a future. What does this mean? Could there be a future for her in Mirabelle, with Shep?

There is, of course, the nagging problem of THE PAST. And what happened in the past. Because Shep doesn't exactly know the entire story. And now Hannah really, really needs to talk to Shep before someone else does. Hannah is a great gal - she's independent and a little fiesty. She has very-recently lost someone in her life that she loved so much, so there is some healing that needs to happen while she is working on the Inn. (I loved reading about this process!) As with just about anyone, Hannah has a few moments when she could certainly communicate a little better or maybe step up and say some things to Shep that need to be spoken, but she just doesn't for whatever reason. To be fair, Shep does this too. They're both a little on the stubborn side, and this is something that they have to work through together. The thing that is really great about Shep, though, is that he never really thought he would have the chance at a life with Hannah again but now he does -- and even though he has a few lapses in judgment along the way, he fights to keep his girl. I absolutely loved seeing him finally get his second chance at romance after waiting for several books and reading about how he has waited for thirteen years. These two are so great together.

*******************************************

Unforgettable by Shannon Richard has everything in it that I love about romance series, including the HEA. After four books now, I feel so comfortable with these characters that I love so much. They're like my friends. With this book, just like with all of the others, all of my emotions were just right there and I felt like I was hanging on every word to see how everything would play out for Shep and Hannah! And I loved how the rest of Shep's friends were doing the same thing! Y'all, I stayed up until 3 a.m. to see how the story of Shep and Hannah would play out - I could not close the book. Could. Not.

Once again, I can't wait for Shannon Richard's next book, scheduled for released in February 2015. I recommend Unforgettable by Shannon Richard to readers that enjoy companion series with great small town settings, great friendships, second chance romances, and happy-ever-afters.

**Even though Unforgettable is the fourth book, it can be read as a standalone if you have not started the Country Roads Series yet. BUT this series is so much fun that I bet you want to go back and read from the beginning!

Second chances are great but when lies are still not told it could mean losing the best thing in your life.

I have been reading every single book in this series and I love that its Nathaniel’s “Shep” turn for him to finally get the woman he loves his only true love. Well actually this woman owned his heart when he met her and took it with her the day she left and it’s the woman that he never did stop loving. It was thirteen years before they met again and it was like their hearts stopping when they saw each other again. Throughout the other series they did talk about Hannah and how Shep had a broken heart because of her but now after reading their story all I could think about was why in the world didn’t they speak. I know that Hannah did try but come on she only called him once and because she heard another woman on the line she thought he didn’t love her. Then in Shep’s head she was the one that left, the one that never looked back so that is why he went all asshat and drank and slept with loads of women. But enough with that let’s give you a little insight into this read so you can pick it up and enjoy.

Nathaniel “Shep” Shepard and Hannah Sterling spent three wonderful months together and they each gave each other their hearts. She gave herself to him completely but she ended up leaving him. They never forgot each other and Hannah did try to get a hold of him but because of insecurity or something else she didn’t tell him what was going on. So she ended up living her life and went to school but when her grandmother passes away she finds out that she left her an inn in Mirabelle, Fl.

Hannah can’t believe it she’s back in the inn where Shep came into her room and fooled around. Now she was in his place of business and when she saw him it was like seeing a hunk of a man all the feelings that she had all came back. Shep had a rough time when Hannah left him that he went and got drunk and slept with countless amounts of women but when his grandfather passed away he vowed to change. The first time he thought of just this once he could have a little bit of fun was the night he saw Hannah again. He couldn’t believe his eyes she was back and she was even more beautiful than thirteen years ago.

Shep knew what he wanted and he wanted her he loved her. He went to her home every morning and brought her coffee and he made her breakfast. Shep was a very, very sweet man that anyone would love to have. But no matter what he did they ended up fighting but not only that she was giving him so many mixed signals that I didn’t understand her. I know she was scared to fall in love with him again but the chemistry that they shared was electrifying. They were meant to be with each other but I also understood her wariness. She believed she was the only one that had a broken heart but she had no idea that Shep also had a broken heart. They needed to speak about the past they need to talk about their feelings but that is not the only thing. Hannah has a job in New York she is going to be leaving again but she also has a secret that is thirteen years old. Can Shep make her see that they can be together? When everything is exposed by the gossip column and the truth is told can Shep and Hannah stay together?

Unforgettable is the fourth installment of Country Roads. This was an excellent read that had me in tears, it had me laughing and at times it had me all hot and bothered. The chemistry between them is not only sensual, it’s hot and hot. I loved how Ms. Richard brought this story together and how easy it was to follow. I do have to say that at times this story was tough to read but because of what you may think but because I wanted to hurt Hannah sometimes and then there was Shep at times I wanted to jump him. He was too yummy to resist. The characters had such depth in this flawlessly written story that had everything I love in a story.

This was a passionate, emotional page turner that I truly recommend.

The last of a trilogy, I was so glad that again Shannon Richard did not disappoint the reader. The book can stand alone as its own story but having read the other two parts of this story, fits the pieces and I think, completes the jigsaw. The romance, sex and character development had me turning pages in anticipation.

Hannah, a New York lawyer, has been given the deed to a run-down inn on her grandmother’s death. This brings her back to Mirabelle, a place fraught with memories that she would rather forget. On meeting Shep again, the physical attraction that brought them together when she was 18 is still there but she knows she must repel them. After all, he broke her heart then and she still hasn’t told him her “secret” from the past. Hannah tries her hardest to keep Shep at bay but his persistence wins. Will their love for each other be enough? I liked Hannah and found the situations she got herself into both funny and poignant. As she finds out what she really wants in life and who is important to her you can see her maturity grow throughout the story.

Shep, after Hannah left, fell into a lifestyle of drinking and women. After the death of his grandfather he finally gets his life together but cannot get Hannah out of his mind. When she returns unexpectedly he is determined not to lose her again. Knowing the physical attraction is still there he breaks her down but when he learns of the “secret” she has kept from him he doesn’t know if their love is strong enough to survive. Shep I felt also had to mature throughout the story and I liked his progression from a hard living bar owner to a caring thoughtful adult who also had to find out what and who was important to him.

The love story between Shep and Hannah was all that I wanted it to be; Hot and sexy -at times stormy, without being overbearing. A delightful end to a great trilogy, I thank Shannon Richard for the story and the series as they were Unforgettable!

Although this is the fourth book in the Country Roads series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. Frankly, I would and have recommended every book from the series especially if you like sweet romances with just a bit of heat.

Years ago, Hannah sought refuge from her stifling family with her grandma in the sleepy town of Mirabelle. Although young, she knew that Shep was more than puppy love. Regardless when summer was over she left him and went on her way to college to try to prove her worth to her pretentious parents. Over the years, she has turned into a workaholic lawyer and making partner at a prestigious firm in record time. Now that her grandma has passed away, she has to return to the place that once made her happy but now haunts her.

Nathanial Shepard AKA Shep has been the fun loving friend of the bunch in Mirabelle. As part owner of the local bar, his place is often where everyone meets up. Throughout the years he’s never been in a steady relationship. Everyone except him seems to know he pines for “the one that got away”. Instead he plays the field but never gets close to anyone. Now that Hannah is back in town, Shep wants another chance and this time he doesn’t want to lose her.

I can’t even say how much I love this series and specifically this book. I think I’ve said that with each of Shannon Richard’s installments but the characters are so relatable. This story focuses on second chances. It’s emotional and angst-filled without being over the top. Shep and Hannah both have unique perceptions to what happened in the past and how it has followed them throughout the years. Perhaps, they both never moved on because they didn’t want to but that is where you can interpret what you think. Yet again, I now must wait for the next story…and it can’t come soon enough.

Rating: 4.5 Stars

It was pure luck that I happened to run across this series one day, it quickly turned into a marathon reading session and when I had my hands on Unforgettable I finished in one sitting.

Shannon Richard gives us another stand alone second chance romance between Hannah and Nathanial. Hannah is moving back temporarily to Mirabelle, Florida after the death of her grandmother only planning on staying as long as it takes to renovate and sell the house she spent her summers in. She never expected to rekindle the passionate romance she shared with Nathanial, Mirabelle's resident bad boy.

The moment Hannah Sterling makes her way back into town, Nathaniel knows that the love they shared as teenagers still burns just as hot today as it did then. The only problem is Hannah wants nothing to do with Nathanial, and he's willing to stop at nothing to get her back.

Secrets will be revealed and hearts will mend once again in this second chance story of love between two broken people coming back together again.

This is probably my favorite story in the series so far by Shannon Richard! Hannah and Nathanial are so dynamite together that it is hard not to be sucked in by the chemistry that these two share. Hannah knows heartbreak, leaving all those years ago almost killed her and she never planned on seeing Nathanial again. I loved reading the interaction between Hannah and Nathanial and each had their own set of problems but together they could overcome anything.

In addition to Hannah and Nathanial's story we also get to catch up with past couple's as well. This book had a lot of depth, emotion, and wonderful characters to make it one of my favorite books so far of 2015! Shannon Richard has quickly become a favorite author of mine and I look forward to her upcoming works!

Overall this story delivers as a wonderful second chance romance with a feisty heroine, a bad boy, and a love that truly conquers all.

5 out of 5 STARS!

**I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but that did not influence the review**

Shannon's country roads series is just getting better and better. I was really excited to read Shep's story and it didn't disappoint. Shep and Hannah met thirteen years before when they were 18. Hannah spent 3 months in Mirabelle falling in love with Shep. After the summer was over she leaves and goes back to her regular life only to find out that she is pregnant. After miscarrying the baby, Hannah tries to move on from her past. of course this plan goes awry when her grandmother leaves her an old inn in Mirabelle and she is forced to face Shep and the past. This is really where the story begins. I had a couple of minor issues with the story. First, early in the book Shep notices that Hannah is uncomfortable with affection, but no resolution to this or explanation us ever discussed. Second, I thought the conversation regarding the miscarriage was a little off. Just didn't see that reaction from him in my head - or the reaction to her being pregnant. I mean why would he be upset that she thought she might be pregnant and then wasn't and she didn't tell him all of this in the one day. Isn't she aloud a bit of freak out time before she tells Shep? Anyway - like I said, minor issues.

Unforgettable is the 4th book from Country Roads series by Shannon Richard! I love this series from the first book Undone.. Nathanial Shepard AKA Shep has been in all of the books I have been waiting for his HEA finally it's here! In the other books in series when one of the Hero need too talk about their heroine he was their to tell them to go after her or they could be like him... When he let his love of his life get away! Shep does get his second chance when Hannah Sterling come back to Mirabelle, Florida!! She comes back because her Grandmother left her a Inn in Mirabelle! After thirteen years these two have off the charts chemistry. I could not put this book down I started it this morning at 11:00 am and finish it today at 4 pm!!
What I loved the most was that Shep knew he had this chance with Hannah and he could not waste it! But then I loved that Hannah did not give in to him right away She made him work for it!! I just loved that in a romance book!! Then of course there was Hannah secret that she had not told Shep that happened thirteen years ago! When I was reading kept saying in my head TELL HIM ALREADY!! But in the end they are made for each other! It was the perfect HEA!

Unforgettable is a well written second chance romance that is part of the Country Roads series. It can easily be read as a standalone, although you will likely want to go back and read the previous books once you read this one. Hannah and Shep were both very easy to relate to and likable characters. The story keeps the reader engaged and rooting for the couple throughout the book. She also does a great job of having the secondary characters add to the story, rather than just “catch-up” readers of the previous books on their lives.

I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun, sexy, and romantic romance.

their time apart devastated me. I just could not get to a totally happy place after that happened. I am happy for them, but I was just so disappointed in the history that I had trouble enjoying the present...

Love this series so much. I was a little frustrated with Shep's little brother, Finn but in the end I was ok with him. Can't wait for Finn's book :)
