Relationships on the White Island are volatile and Whitnee, Morgan, and Caleb aren’t sure who they can trust—even each other. Politicians are lying, history is being rewritten, and motives are questionable. Whitnee sets out with Gabriel and a band of rebel spies to take back the enemy's biggest weapon—Whitnee's father. However, a shocking turn of events proves once again that the Island's secrets have the power to destroy more than just the truth. Separated from her friends, Whitnee battles her own fears in order to survive and protect the ones she loves. But when Morgan's illness finally comes to light, Whitnee faces a decision that could alter her future—and Morgan’s—forever. And whether she ultimately stays on the Island or leaves might not be her choice, after all.

This book picks up right where Watercrossing leaves off, and untangles many of that book's threads. Whitnee and her friends must work to find her father and get back home, while dealing with the truth of Morgan's illness and trying to stay alive. It's a wild ride that doesn't stop, and will keep you frantically turning pages until the final resolution. With rich imagery, beloved characters, and a tight plot, Krissi Dallas has spun another magical tale with Watermark.
“A true best friend will love you to the end—even to the point of giving up her life for you.”
This one is by far my favorite Phantom Island book for a lot of different reasons, one of them being the context of the above quote. This book in particular and its characters are just so insanely well-written, and the main themes are so emotionally impactful. From the introduction/return of Whitnee’s dad (who I LOVE as a character), Whitnee’s sacrifice for Morgan and Simeon’s sacrifice for Whitnee, and Caleb and Whitnee’s developing relationship, this book is an all-around knockout with hints of the Gospel woven into its pages. I can’t recommend this one enough!!!!!

This one was good! I started working again so wasn’t able to binge, and when I did get into reading it it wasn’t as enticing as the other ones. Probably because I feel like the story is just dragging a little bit now.. still loved it and onto the 5th
Things get very tangled and heated in this one. Hang on tight and prepare for a tense ride. At this point I've come to care for the characters as if they were my friends and it was tough to read about them going through such hard times, but that made me have to read it all the more! I had to know how it turned out. The mystery sucked me right back in as if I had just put down the last book and the turmoil of who to trust had me finishing this one in record time. I highly recommend it, not just for fans of Krissi's books, but for all fans of paranormal and YA
Oh my word!!!!!!!! This is the best book series I have ever read!!!!!!!!! My mom, (Angela Collins) introduced my siblings and I about a month ago, and I have read the series at least 3 times!!!! It's really THAT good!!!! Anyone who loves adventure and fantasy will adore the books! I can't wait for the upcoming books, Krissi!!
I really enjoyed this book :) I feel like as Whitnee struggles between choices, I am also struggling with them. Usually in books I know which choice I would pick, which choice they should pick, but in this one I feel like I was just as torn as she was when making decisions. Great job :)
(Ps. Does anybody know when the next book is going to come out?)
