Ok so book 3 started off with this text message from Dean...
"I'm on my way home. I want the house dark. Hide from me but when I find you, no matter what fight me, resist me. I'm going to f*ck you. Hard. Safe word: Mercy."
LOL! Holy crap did he just say that? Yes he did!
My first thought was: MERCY!!! My second thought was: Heeeeey!! Go hide, girl! LOL!
and she did...
"Knowing she only had a matter of minutes to turn off the lights and make herself scarce before she arrived, she hurried through the house and plunged it to complete darkness."
At this point my heart is pounding! She asked him to do this by the way as one of her fantasies.
"Just as she switched off the final lamp in her small reading nook she heard the garage door leading into the house open then close with a soft click. Her heart leapt into her throat and she froze waiting for her pupils to adjust to the sudden darkeness...
'Honey, I'm home.' He murmured in a low taunting tone of voice that made her shiver."
Yikes! I'll let you find out how that scenario ends...
Later Jillian does turn the tables on him...
"If things get too intense, you can always use the safe word we've established." Her too sweet voice held a trace of provocation. He smirked knowing there wasn't anything she could do to make him cry uncle."

Guess who ended up crying uncle? Hahaha! I absolutely love these two but my favorite quote from Dean so far has to be...
"Who was this bewitching woman? She was his wife, he thought with awe!"
A very good lesson to husbands everywhere, never underestimate your wife. With a little nudge, we can still be that girl you first met except even better! This series could rekindle the sex life of any marriage, I swear!
I am impatiently waiting the release of book 4...grrr...hurry!!

Another good entry in Jillian's diary as she and Dean take things to the next level in their sexual journey. This couple is having a wonderful time finding out what the other likes and can handle. It gets more interesting and sensual with every entry.
Jillian and Dean play a game of Hide and Seek that brings out the animal in Dean. They then finally enter their playroom that Jillian has filled with a few good toys for them to explore.
You have to read it to believe it.

I rarely wear my husband out, but the last day or two we've been like rabbits! Why? Because I read the THE MARRIAGE DIARIES ">Marriage Diaries by Erika Wilde. Holy Hotness! This series is everything a short hot novella series should be. I swear, the author was IN MY HEAD, reading all of my fantasies! I have been married over 20 years, and I just loved reading about a hot as hell, sexy couple that was in a long term marriage as well.
In Book 3:
One of Jillian's fantasies (stranger/captive) is about to come true.
Holy shit! I told Mr. Ana about this one....I want to play! Man, this was H-O-T! I love the comfort and security the couple gets from knowing and trusting the other so well. Yet Dean's aggressive side is so fucking sexy, and he knows how to use it.
Jillian has been building a playroom in the basement of their home, and in this installment, they finally get to use it. This time, Jillian gets to play Mistress. I'll tell you, I really like the submissive role, but this installment of The Marriage Diaries has me re-thinking that a bit. Though honestly, I can't imagine my alpha guy letting me tie him up, it might be fun to try.
Each of these books are about 40 pages. They are quick reads and they are good for pre-bedtime reading (if you know what I mean). If you are reading these alone, make sure you have a toy nearby, or visit my erotic toystore to pick up some of the items you might find in the books. Or toys you'll need while reading it. :-D
These books can be read individually (My vajayjay needed a break so I read another book in between).
My husband and I went through a similar sexual revitalization after about 19 years of marriage (thanks to some of my favorite sexy books). We both started sharing our fantasies more, and my husband's dominant side is hot as hell. He and Dean actually reminded me of each other. In the last 3 years, our marriage has become so much stronger and way hotter now that we finally came clean (or dirty) with our fantasies and brought some of the kink in. So I really related to these books. I realized that some of that hot spark we've had has been dying out again, but this series brought it right back!
So Erika, I thank you, and so does Mr. Ana. My vajayjay however (and the muscle I pulled) are not as happy with you afterwards.

-I loved how Dean and Jillian finally came out and admitted the things they have fantasized about.
-How attracted the couple still is to each other.
-Dean is so alpha and commanding. Yum.
-How the trust between them just made it all so much easier.
-Almost every sex act is something I have fantasized about or done and want more of.
-Though each of these were short, they were just right for what they are.
-The sex acts were long and detailed without using words that make me snort or roll my eyes.
-I never felt like I needed more, these stories delivered what the intended.

Rating: 5 stars for a ladyporn novella series, 5+++ heat
It seems strange to give this 5 stars when there really isn't much much character development. But that's not what we read this for. You know how sometimes you just need a good hard fucking? That's what this is like. Sometimes you need a little sex with your story, sometimes a little story with your sex. This series is the latter, and that's just fine for a change.
Usually when I read a novelette, I feel it is missing something. How good can something be in 40 pages? But I have to tell you, these deliver what they are intended for. Lady Porn for the married moms (though I think a guy would like these too). There was just enough story to keep you interested, and the characters were very likable. I never felt like I needed more story, it was just right. I look forward to reading Erika Wilde's next story and see what her spin-off series is all about.

When I first read Volume 1 of this series, I was amazed that the author was able to pull off packing so much emotion and heat into a short story. Now I've come to expect it, and I'm so glad that it's always delivered. I love reading about Dean and Jillian. It says alot that despite the length of the stories, you really start to see the development of the characters. This was a fun installment & being able to glimpse Jillian totally owning Dean was lots of fun!
My favorite lines from this installment:
"She'd stolen his heart way back then, and he could easily say she still owned him, body and soul. Even after nineteen years of marriage." Loc 275
"Amusement coursed through him, because he'd never in his life begged for anything. "You can certainly try your best," he replied, invoking a deliberate dare in his voice."
Challenge accepted and it sure was fun to read! I can't wait to see what's next for this fun couple.

The first paragraph.... The text message....
My heart literally stopped, I gasped in a breath and then my heart rate took off so fast I thought it was going to come charging out of my chest.....

The scene that follows is one of Jillian's fantasies that Dean is playing out for her upon arriving home from his business trip and I have to tell you it is so intense, unnerving and erotic at the same time, that I honestly didn't know what to feel. What I realised after though, was that the whole premise behind this scene was trust. The complete unwavering and unquestionable trust that this couple has in each other and their relationship.
Each volume of this series just keeps getting better and better. The writing is engaging and so descriptive that it's hard not to be swept away by the intensity and passion conveyed through the characters.
Jillian and Dean's experiences become much more involved in the BDSM ways in this volume with the stranger/captive fantasy, the introduction of the playroom and Jillian trying her hand at being a dominatrix. There is nothing that Jillian won't do for her husband and Dean's alpha male, dominant nature is completely unleashed resulting in an explosion of heat, passion and erotic delight.
The relationship has grown in so many ways and their exploits are even hotter than before, so basically....

I love that this couple have decided to explore together and have even

The hotness factor of these books is over the top and it’s so illuminating to see a long term committed couple who still share that passion and heat. I can’t thank Erika enough for writing these short stories. Volume 3 of the Marriage Diaries was different from the previous two but still amazing! It starts with Dean fulfilling a fantasy Jillian told him about while skyping and ends with Jillian turning the tables on Dean by becoming the dominate partner in a way you wouldn't imagine. The first fantasy was a little much for me at first but once I realized that both characters were really enjoying it I was able to wrap my mind around the idea - no I'm not giving away the fantasy...you'll just have to read The Taking to find out what it is:) If you enjoy erotic romance then this is a must read or if you enjoy Janelle Denison aka Erika Wilde!! Can't wait for Vol 4 (which I didn't realize was coming...I thought 3 was the last one! So after reading this awesome short story I got an awesome surprise!!)

Oh my goodness, Erika Wilde is turning up the heat in each successive novella. Jillian Noble really shows her stuff here, literally and figuratively...lol! Her poor Dean didn't know what hit him. I want my own Dean and a kick ass playroom like the one they have. It's like they're newlyweds. I hope that when I get married, my husband and I will be going strong like them. The opening scene had my heart racing. I'm not sure I could ever do that fantasy, but the playroom scenes were a good transition for fear to playfulness. I can't wait to see what Wilde throws at us in the next installment, The Temptation. I fear dean is going to make Jillian "pay" dearly for what she did.

I loved the Awakening! I loved the Seduction! But OMG, the Taking, which plays out their newest fantasy, just jacked the erotica up 100% more! Jillian said it best "tumultuous, explosive and elemental on so many levels!" I love that Jillian and Dean are a middle age married couple looking to add some uninhibited sexual excitement to their lives. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading this - their joy in each other just radiates off the pages! I highly recommend you get this book, turn on the fan, lock your door (you do NOT want to be interrupted) and settle in to enjoy this sexy and fun filled excerpt from their diary!! Can't wait for The Temptation!

I loved this novella!! Dean and Jillian are HOT!! They continue to grow closer as they enact their fantasies. You are definitely drawn in and can feel what Dean and Jillian are feeling in these scenes. I definitely loved when Jillian turned the tables!! I love seeing her so confident and fully engaged. It's great to see Dean fully embrace his role and lose more of that iron-clad control. I would definitely recommend this series and I can't wait to see what happens in the next volume!!

OMG that was amazingly HOT. The sex is very graphic and it makes me want a playroom of my own! I love how Jillian and Dean interact with each other after being married 19 years. Their sexcapades are very believable and they are each strong characters. This book grabbed me from the first page and kept me captive until the last word. I can't wait for the next volume. Janelle has been a favorite of mine forever and I will continue to follow her as Erika Wilde. If you love HOT, GRAPHIC SEX than this is a book you will love! Thanks Janelle/Erika!!!!

I've loved each episode in The Marriage Diaries. Have to say The Taking is the hottest to date. OMG I love Jillian and Dean together so much. Love watching a happily married couple love and trust one another enough to explore their fantasies together. I've felt the love between Jillian and Dean from the very first story, and honestly think they are only growing closer and more in love with one another each day.

Once again Erika Wilde wets our appetite for the forbidden with the trust between a husband and wife. Jillian and Dean have added another dimension to their love for each other. This third story kept me reading until the last word appeared. It allowed my imagination to run wild as I read about this empty nest couple and how they decided to spice up their life. This is a definite must read for all Janelle Denison/Erika Wilde fans.

I love the relationship of Dan and Jillian. I love that they are at a time in their lives where sometimes relationships fall apart, but they are finding new and sexy ways to bring themselves closer. This short story is another enjoyable read into their lives. I loved this story and highly recommend this series.

Another Hot story in this series. I love Ms. Wilde's books. This short novella is super hot and a fantastic addition to the Marriage Diaries Series. I love the fact that this series is based off a couple who has been married for a long time, makes it even hotter. I do suggest reading the other two stories first, but at the price they are listed at it is well worth it!

The Marriage Diaries Volumes 1-4 was skillfully written and had me captivated from the very first page to the very climatic end. The sex scenes for intense, passionate and hot. A deep and erotic exploration of love, life and sexuality. Makes you believe that after many years of marriage, you still can add some spice to your love life.

this series of short novellas gets better with each one. So glad to see a story with a married couple trying to bring back the spice in their sex life. When the kids are away the wife wants to play and get her husband Dean to unleash the dom in him. This story took it to another level.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
