It was meant to be one night, a price for my escape… So why am I leaving with an alien husband? Juana has been stranded in space for too long, working off a debt to an alien crime-lord who won’t let her forget he saved her from a worse fate. When warriors arrive to hold a secret meeting, she will do anything to catch a ride off the backwater, even if it means selling her body for a night.
Kiri’s life as an ambassador was put on hold when his planet’s population was wiped out in a heartbeat. Tired of feeling useless, he jumps at the chance to head a mission to parlay with the king of warriors he once knew as enemies. But when the mating call strikes him, he fears his new mate’s baggage will derail the budding alliance.
In this final installment of the Virgin Warriors of Kar’Kal series, the alien warriors who rediscovered their ancestral mating bonds will look to reclaim their home planet. To succeed in launching an attack on their enemies, they must forge a connection with unlikely allies.
Gemma Voss writes steamy alien romance with flirtatious banter, sexual tension, intergalactic misunderstandings, happily ever afters, and a dash of mortal peril.
I was excited for Kiri’s book as soon as he popped up in Jen’s. He was the last of the super buttoned up Kar’Kali, but probably the one most open to a mate bond. He was lonely and a little jealous of the families the others were creating. Juana was trapped on a really crappy station in indentured servitude and was struggling to come to terms with changes in herself since her abduction and the mercenary way she was required to live to survive. Kiri became her safe space and a shoulder to lean on. They were a good pairing and a good ending to this series.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: genocide, indentured servitude, sex work, violence, dismemberment, mugging, mentions of starvation, abduction, and physical assault
Juana (h) lives as an indentured employee to a crime lord as she tries to save up enough funds to be able to leave his domain. Kiri (H) a Kar’Kal warrior diplomat, comes to Ra’Vaga to secure an alliance with the Ka’lakka who leads the Deviant forces, but things become complicated when he encounters Juana, and she triggers his mating call. Kiri and Juana must come to terms with their relationship, complicated by her past experiences that have her fighting to control her own life, actions Kiri takes that complicate the situation, and cultural differences. Lots of action and adventure, political intrigues, and more. The hot and steamy action built through the story and helped progress Juana and Kiri’s relationship, but most of the time I was #TeamKiri and was often annoyed with Juana and Kiri apologizing to her so many times. There’s a lot of the previous stories in the series that I’ve forgotten (last one was a year ago), and maybe I would have enjoyed this one more if I were to read them closer together.
Kiri needed a story. I'm pleased with the series wrap up. I much prefer the pirateless-pirate spinoff series. Overall serviceable and readable alien romance series.
The bonus chapter was hilarious and had such a good and well-balanced shipping. Made me want to read the entire story of this couple.
Anyway, I love Kiri so much. He is such a sweetheart and shows his affection in a lovely and adorable way. His mating-call side is hot too. And I love his name too. It is so sweet for a man. I always want to make cute sounds when I read his name😂😅 Juana is a wonderful woman too. Honest and strong and suits Kiri wonderfully well. In many ways.
The story was well managed and got a good way till the end. It also was really funny.
There is no pregnancy and children of the MCs. From the privious MCs pregnancy and children as babies are a part of the story.

Loooove this MMC, love the plot, the beginning was addicting as usual but idk these keep having a slow point for me where I want the story to go one way but it goes another…still love this series and I’m going to read everything by this author! I just hate how much hate our group of characters gets from the deviants like…these guys are literally victims they didn’t want to be born with no families and get child in their heads :(( And the deviants hatred and fear of them going back would make more sense if they were around more unmated guys but like come on…anyways my brain is mush it’s too many aliens books in a row they’re all blending together…time for the next!
The last book in the series and now I’m all caught up 🥲 (I’m also caught up on the spin-off, which I chaotically read first because the spin-off covers are literally the prettiest alien romance covers I’ve ever seen).
This book just nailed it— ✨ the meet-disaster was meet-disaster-ing ✨ our human heroine had a great backstory and her character arc was everything ✨ our starchy diplomat alien hero was the sweetest clueless virgin yet ✨ so much horny pining ✨ the overarching plot of the series had a satisfying conclusion
This was just lovely and I highly recommend the series!
The Alien’s Woman is book six and the final in what has been an engaging series. The adventure that begins with leads Kiri and Juana is filled with mate bonds, intrigue, romance, angst and twists that made this an exceptionally good read. Perfectly paced and as always well written this one should not be missed.

This was a fab finale for a really engaging series. Kiri and Juana find love together but there's way more to this story than just a romance. Well written and well paced, this story is steamy and sweet, with intrigue, drama, angst and twists. I really liked this couple together and how their mating bond ended up helping more than Kiri thought it would. Can't wait to see what's next by this author :D
This is a sweet, fun, alien romance. I loved that the male was a virgin and had no experience. Watching Kiri and Juana figure out each other's customs was a challenge. The mate bond is Kiri and Juana's beginning adventure with intrigue, some drama, and steam. I loved the story. Hate to see the series end.

There's a certain symmetry having Kiri's story round out the Kar'Kali saga. Kiri stumbles through discovering his matebond with Juana and fumbling and making one mistake after another that makes for a heart rending and sweet story. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the characters were very well written. Great world building along with hot and steamy romance. Loved it!.

I loved this story. There are a lot of things that are going on in our lives. Things that are a reflection in this story. I like the way the author has addressed these. Brings some everyday things to life, if we only stop and think about them. I can't wait to see what happens next. Kiri is hit with the mating bond and does the best he can to make Juana safe. It is a learning curve for both of them but I liked how they did and it helped with Kiri's negotiations as well.
loved it !! love this series !! love Kiri and Juana... this is their story..a fast paced action packed drama... finally finding your mate is supposed to be a joyous thing... but, .... twists and danger... and so much more... loved this series !!!.

Gemma Voss has knocked it out of the park with book 6 of the Virgin Warriors of Kar’Kal series. Voss has demonstrated an impressive talent for character development and world building, as well as an excellent imagination.

It was awesome to have the diplomat of previous books finally have his own story. It was even better to get another look at all the past characters too.

This was a sexy Alien Steamy Romance story that I enjoyed reading. There’s plenty of action, misunderstanding, sexual tension, banter, hot alpha male romance and love. I enjoyed the characters in storyline.

The hero is an ambassador. She is a kidnapped human who is trying to pay back her rescuer so she can leave the planet. But that bad alien keeps changing the price she needs to pay.
I loved this whole series, specially how each new book got so much better equally with the couples and the whole world building; can’t wait for the Deviant part, specially valla and the ashbringer.
I’m sad that this series is over, but I’m hoping there will be cameos in the Deviant spin off series! I’ve been devouring these! And I absolutely adore Kiri😭
A great finale! Juana’s desperation and Kiri’s quiet nobility made them a perfect mismatch-to-soulmates couple. The one-night-stand-turned-lifelong-bond trope worked well with the backdrop of political alliance and galactic warfare. The emotional resonance felt earned, especially as the series arc closed with hope, redemption, and a return to Kar’Kal. This ending brought just enough closure while leaving room for imagination.
