Although placed in separate classes, twins Marius and Marcus--younger brothers to Lucas Cott--prove to be double trouble for their kindergarten teachers, in a new novel by the author of the Class Clown series.
This book is about Lucas‘s twin brothers, Marcus and Marius. They are starting kindergarten, and they caused a lot of trouble. Each chapter is it’s own story, but they revolve around one thing. The twins want to see which teacher is the best, and the teachers want to see which twin is the worst. There will be a spoiler at some point in the review! This book was really funny. Some of my favorite parts were the times in the teachers room. I can’t really see teachers actually doing that. Also, I have to work in the teachers lounge at school with my para because it is easier than doing virtual learning at home. To me, the teachers lounge just like any other room in the school. Well reading this book, I would sometimes wonder what the twins would do. I do wish that they would have been in each others classes for a day, though, and had different teachers. I think Marius would’ve been harder to deal with, and I’m not sure which teacher was the best. Maybe Marcus‘s teacher because they did more reading activities. This book was very funny.
Note: This book is written by Johanna Hurwitz, not Thomas J. Dygard.
Another cute book in the adventures of Lucas Cott, this time focusing in on his twin brothers Marius and Marcus who are just starting school. And like their brother, Marius and Marcus are full of mischief, but still lovable characters. This would be a fun read aloud for first or second graders, but third or fourth graders might also enjoy reading it on their own.
This was the first of Ms. Hurwitz's books that I read and I enjoyed it so much that I starting reading her other books with Lucas Cott as the main character. I enjoy her books because although the characters are always getting into some kind of trouble, they do end up learning a lesson in the end.
Marius and Marcus Cott are twin brothers and so as you know they brother are sisters can not be in the same class or room in school. Well so the point of the book is that Marius and Marcus trade places in class because they twins. So, they want to find out witch teacher is better, or as you can say nicer.
I like this book because first I have cousins who are twins and this might happen to them I hope. Not trying to be mean or anything. But it will be a good story, to tell there kids or whatever. Also they look alike so it will be pretty easy for them to do this. But then again it is not a good thing to do.
Mommy says: We started to read this chapter book about the younger twin brothers of a very mischievous boy, but my kids were NOT INTERESTED. These are kids who will let me read them almost anything, mind you, but this book bored them to death and they protested mightily. We gave up.
There is another "Starting School" by J. Ahlberg, and that is an appropriate picture book for this age. Someone at the library pulled this one by accident instead.
If you are going to read chapter book to young kids (3 1/2 and 5 1/2), make it a good one, such as Charlotte's Web, which they really liked.
I liked this book a lot and im going to read the next ones! I like the part were marcus and marius change rooms and the teacher do to so they dont get to see who is the best teacher Its awesome
