Grace has found the perfect retreat for herself and her city dog. Or has she?
When Grace and Summer, her Papillon, arrive at a wilderness camp for dogs and their people, Summer is ready to go home before her paws touch the ground. After seeing the wild antics (not to mention the sheer size) of their campmates, Grace agrees. None of the other guests will take Summer seriously, leaving Grace feeling like an outsider at her own vacation. If only everyone else could see the intelligent, devoted dog she sees in Summer. . . . Will they ever understand Summer is so much more than “just a toy”?
Stories in the Angel Paws series celebrate the unique bond between canines and humans with heartfelt, moving, and insightful tales for anyone who has ever loved a dog.
I have obedience dogs all my 85 years. All were different sizes, but the smallest was a Norwegian Elkhound. I always liked big dogs as I got older, and my Corgi, Shadow aged, I decided she would be my last dog. I now have a very smart Yorkie-Poo...an amazingly alert and intelligent 14 pound companion! This story was fun!
I loved this whole story. It is amazing that some dogs/animals are able to understand that someone is sick and try to let someone know that is the case. This is amazing. I love Jordan Taylor's short stories. I want to read all of them. Keep them coming Jordan!!!!!
Insecurities of dog owner prevent fear of acceptance to almost ruin dog training camp. Of course, dog proves owner wrong and dog becomes recognized for her abilities and gifts. Hero time.
I liked that Grace took her dog to the summer dog camp, even if it was out of her comfort zone. Grace seemed to have a closed off personality. But in the end both Grace and Summer seemed more out going to other people.
This was another delightful, beautiful and moving story in the Angel Paws series. I loved Summer and Grace very much and wish they were real and leaving somewhere nearby :-)
