A wonderfully written book with great characters which is a page turner. This book has suspense, intrigue, action and a steamy romance that gives this book a happily ever after ending.
A story about a mafia princess who falls for the biker who is supposed to be protecting her. The mafia princess was told by her friend that the mafia don wants her to marry his bookkeeper, who is a pedophile.
The princes with the help of three brother which has a connection with a motorcycle club that their sister married a member of has the princes go stay with the motorcycle club to get her away from the mafia don who wants her to marry his bookkeeper, the bookkeeper is way older that her and he is a child molester. The brothers also informed the mafia don that one of them is already engaged to the princess. The mafia don allows the princess to go only so that she can get information for him about the motorcycle club since the mafia is trying to take the town that the motorcycle club is protecting.
Some of the motorcycle club members get caught in a trap that the mafia set up but the club members come out okay. The mafia has several members dead and the club captures several mafia men as well. One club member is taken to the hospital but after surgery he’s better.
The president talks to one of the club members making him the princess’s protector during her stay. The biker goes and finds the princess at a gas station on the wrong side of town so he helps her out and takes her to the clubhouse. The two when they first meet there’s something that goes between them but neither knows what it is.
Not long after one of the clubs' business gets burnt down. The princess meets and talks with the three mafia brother’s sisters. The princess and her protector get into it over one of the bunnies that are in the club and the bunny winds up getting thrown out of the club for a while. After that the two have words and the princess locks herself in her bedroom. She talks to the brother that she’s to be engaged to and gives him some information as well as the mafia don who’s listening in on their conversation.
The club president set up a meeting with the princess and her protector. The two from the club decide to take her to the meeting with the rival club president. They go and talk with the president, they discuss things and several times the conversation gets heated but soon they agree with one another. The princess starts getting texts from the don’s bookkeeper which gets the princess upset.
Not long after they get back the princess and her protector find themselves getting very close. They have sex. The club president finds out and has the protector go to his office for a discussion. The princess walks in on the conversation telling the president that she has deep feelings for the protector and the truth about everything.
Not long after there’s mafia men at the gate. The protector has the princess stay with the club’s IT man. The club members take the mafia men down. One mafia man lives but the princess is scared of him. They decide to let him go but first they will have the princess give him false information as well as information on a meeting that will take place in eleven days time with the club and the towns business people. Everything goes off smoothly with getting the mafia man out and feeding him the information before helping him leave.
After that the protector goes with another biker leaving a prospect of the club watching the princess. They meet with a jeweler that the club uses for the engagement rings and other things. The protector has the jeweler make an engagement ring for the princess and also picks her up a gift.
The protector gets back to the princess finding out that she got more texts from the bookkeeper while he was gone. The protector gives the princess the gift he got her while he was out. It’s a gold choker, he puts it on the princess. The club has a cut made for her. The princess wants to go out to eat, the protector agrees even though he’s a bit lyre about it. At the restaurant the princess gets grabbed by a goon that’s working for the bookkeeper and taken to a hotel close to the city. The protector finds out after a short time that she was taken, the club rallies together to get her back. They find the van she was taken in and inside was her cut, they find a couple of the men close to the van that helped grab the princess. They go to get the princess from the bookkeeper that they have the keycard to the room that they're in. They have an altercation but soon they have the princess and the men that took her back to the club.
The eleven days go by fast for the new couple. During that time the two learn more about each other as well as have sex alot. The morning of the eleventh day comes and the protector fits the princess up with a bullet proof vest and gives her back her gun that they took when she first came to the clubhouse. The president gives everyone their orders on where they are supposed to be. They get the barn a while before the time they gave to the mafia man. The president from the rival motorcycle club as well as some of the members are there to help. The fight starts and the princess and the protector are in the loft of the barn with one of the club members. The protector shoots the mafia don. The three brothers get to the loft telling them who is on their side and the bookkeeper comes up to the loft but the brothers kill him. The mafia man comes up after everything is done and they all talk. The princess gives the brother back the ring he gave her telling him about being with the protector. It looks like most of the men who died from the mafia, the club members are all alive even though a couple of them are hurt.
Three months later the princess and the protector are where he is from and he’s taking her through the swamps where he used to love going when he was a boy. While looking around they both talk about the money and things that they have. There on an airboat when he brings out a box, he asks her to marry him and when she agrees she tells him about being pregnant. They kiss. They are both happy and in love.

Aprillia was sent to stay with the Dark Slayers to protect her from the Mafia Don decision to marry her off to a old man. But she is also there to help friends to find a way to take down the Don. Mason is to be her protector but from the beginning there is a attraction between them that they can’t ignore but things need to be done to help her friends but trouble will hit first. So enjoy another good read and see what happens!!

tied up in a neat lil bow, they both knew better than to go out to eat just the two of them. When earlier in the book pres. literally said she is not to g0 out beyond the clubhouse with less than 3 escorts. But of course it’s fine right nothing will happen the starker won’t be lurking outside waiting for and opportunity at all right?

Tropes- Fake Engagement, Game of Thrones, Bodyguard Romance, Mafia Princess, That’s Not My Leg, Instalust.
What I liked- the book’s action pulled me in from the very beginning. There was a healthy balance between romance and action that kept the book from ever being boring. The way the author worked background information was smooth, subtle, and done without dropping exposition abruptly. I liked the twist on the fake engagement storyline. I liked the characters. The main characters had depth (so did some of the secondary characters) and I liked that they had vulnerabilities and thought about different issues. And I loved the running joke about Storm liking to say “We’re burning daylight”; this has been part of the previous books in the series, and other characters actually say it more than he does in this one! And Storm has beautiful hazel eyes and a thick southern accent- yum!
What I didn’t like- I’m not gazing into those eyes right now.
Verdict- highly recommended. Read the whole series- it’s great.

This is the 18th book in the Dark Slayers MC series featuring the exciting steamy dual P.O.V fake engagement,Mafia Princess, Bodyguard romance between Mason and Aprilia. Mason is given the job of protecting Aprilia who is connected to the Russo Brothers and she's keeping some serious secrets. The attraction between them was instant and intense Mason is from Louisiana where he grew up in a horrible home before joining the military which left scars on him. When he finds out that Aprilia deceived him regarding her engagement he plans on making Aprilia his. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this exciting steamy dual P.O.V,fake engagement, Mafia Princess, Bodyguard romance full of action,danger and intrigue to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

More Mafia Shenanigans
So, this isn’t the first book that the MC has had to deal with the mafia, which includes some characters we’ve seen before, but WOW, it went to a whole new level in this story 🤯🙌🏻 Every time I think there’s no way these stories could get any better, a story like this comes at me like a hurricane lol. The danger, mystery, intrigue, and level of action that come with this book ensures that you will not be able to stop reading. Then again, with the explosive chemistry & passion that Mason & Aprilia generate, you’d wanna stick around just for that…believe me 🫣🔥 I can’t wait to see what’s next from this series 👀❤️

The characters are well detailed with backstories, great personalities and determination. The storyline is a roller coaster ride of events, emotions, entertaining situations and tension. Plenty of drama, danger, steamy moments, revelations, twists and more that kept the pages turning quickly. Loved their chemistry and protectiveness. Great ending.

Mason is assigned to watch Nicco's fiancé, Aprilia, while she is staying at the clubhouse visiting his sister. Except no one knows that she is not really his fiancé, it is pretend to protect her from being married off to a man of the Don's choosing. She grew up as a mafia princess and has never been around bikers but she meets her shadow, there is something about Mason that makes her hot and bothered.
There is a lot of working parts in this story, who can get the jump on who. it is a rollercoaster of action, twists you may not see coming. Mason has one job to keep her safe, but the more time they spend together, the harder it is to resist each other.

This was a fantastic story with a mixture of MC and Mafia. The cast of characters is pretty substantial, with all the old suspects, and a slimy newcomer. The romance is a perceived forbidden love at first sight scenario, which is always tantalizing. Mason and Aprilia are both relatable which always helps the reader to assimilate to their world. I enjoyed the weekend read and would recommend to MC or Mafia enthusiasts.

MC Mixed With Mafia
I have to start off saying this series has been great and now with Mason’s story it only adds to a series that I can’t get enough of. This was a great mixture of mafia and MC with a great storyline that made it a big page turner.
Aprilia is part of an arranged marriage and the mafia are using Aprilia to get info on the Slayers. The mafia is wanting in on the town that the Slayers “own” and Mason was set to protect Aprilia.
I have loved this author’s writing and this book was no different which makes her books ones I always look forward to.

This was another great story. There is suspense, action, drama, violence, kidnapping, fake engagement, romance, and love. Aprilia ends up going to the Dark Slayers MC and she's been sent there as a spy. Mason is assigned as her protector. Mason and Aprilia are perfect for each other. Once they let each other know that they are attracted to each other the story goes into sizzling steam MC and Mafia style. Loved it.

Aprilia life gets turn upside down when her father dies and the don aranfesba marriage for her. This series is just amazing! The guys are just alpha makes looking for their way in the world. Mason grew up in Louisiana and not in a loving home. His time in the military left is mark. But with the Slayers he has found a home. With the issue of the mafia on the move towards their town the Slayers are asked to watch over of of the Mafia women. Little did Mason realize she would be his!.

Aprilia is sent to the Dark Slayers MC under the premise that she is there to visit her future sister-in-law. Mason is assigned to protect her. When they meet, their instant attraction to each other is hot. This is a great story full of intrique that comes from the Dark Slayers working to take down the mafia's Don that is threatening their town. I enjoyed reading this book.

Another wonderful MC romance story, this time we follow Mason and Aprilia. The chemistry and attraction is great between them. Despite being engaged to a man for appearance's sake, they work together to fight the mafia and take them down. I can't tell you more than that, I just say that reading their story is very worthwhile.

Mason and Aprilia start a fake relationship that grows into something real. Well paced, full of sizzle, steam, action, drama, and more. Great Read.
