How does it keep getting worse?
Way too much spent on comic relief.

Okay, I know I said that I would read up to volume 5, but I plain and simple can't do it. Despite my 3 star rating, this series is unbelievably boring to me and I struggled just to finish this volume. I am officially dropping this series but do not harbor any ill will to anyone who enjoys this series. This series is good, but that's all it is. Everything it sets out to do comes across as half-baked, from the story to the characters to the gags, it all seems mediocre at best. While readers do get to learn more about Kagari's past, its just not that interesting to me. Not to mention that towards the end Takamiya's supposed to be having this super-serious fight with this delinquent witch, but she's dressed in a furry onesie that is so ridiculous it's impossible to take the scene seriously. Sorry for the rambling, but this series is so frustrating that I can't think straight. There is so much potential in the series to be above average, but it feels like the creator didn't want to put the effort in. Like I said before, it's not a terrible series just because I've been bagging on it, but I will not be continuing it.

Serial ini cukup bagus, tapi hanya itu. Segala sesuatu yang ingin disajikan Mizunagi sensei tampil setengah matang, dari cerita, karakter hingga lelucon, semuanya tampak biasa-biasa saja. Bahkan sudah jilid ke4, sy masih bingung kemana arah plot yg ingin dibawa oleh sensei hhe.

Sementara pembaca bisa belajar lebih banyak tentang masa lalu Kagari, namun itu tidak terlalu. Belum lagi bahwa menjelang akhir Takamiya seharusnya melakukan pertarungan super serius dengan penyihir nakal ini, tapi malah mengenakan pakaian berbulu yang sangat konyol sehingga tidak mungkin untuk menganggap serius adegan itu XDDD.
Sungguh sebenarnya ada begitu banyak potensi dalam serial untuk menjadi di atas rata-rata, tapi rasanya sensei terlalu lama untuk mengeksplorasinya hhe (bisa2 pembaca sudah duluan meninggalkan manga ini,seperti yg terjadi di Indonesia mungkin hhi).

Di Indonesia hanya sampai jilid 4 ini, tapi menilik manga ini tamat di vol 22 di JPN, mungkin ada pada volume tertentu serial ini berkembang menjadi lebih baik.

I know this will sound crazy but the artwork reminds me of The work of Mad Comics/Magazine artist Bill Elder. There’s so much stuff going on in the backgrounds it’s at times overwhelming but oh so wonderful. I don’t mind the slow burn of the story like so many others, there’s no rush to end it with a cliche. This work is totally unique. I love it!

Sampai jilid 4 ini nggak jelas serial ini mau bercerita tentang apa... agak nyesal juga sih belinya... mentang2 Gramedia lagi diskon 25% kemarin...

A big fight starts in this one but the artist draws it so confusingly it's hard to follow. So typical Witchcraft Works.
