5 SHORT ~ SWEET ~ SCORCHING STARS!!!

I'm a big fan of the Beachwood Bay gang, and after finishing this sizzling novella, my admiration and respect for this author has grown even more. It's hard to pick out novellas with great character development, an entertaining and attention-grabbing story plot, and endearing characters readers can connect with. This novella encompasses all those qualities and then some.

So what's this about?

description

Lacey prepares to fly down to Beachwood Bay to celebrate the upcoming wedding of her best friend, Jules, to Emerson. Along the way, she bumps into Jules' ex-boyfriend Daniel, and through a series of unfortunate but hilarious events, they end up together on the same plane, same hotel, same destination, same car. Now I normally steer clear of books with friends crushing on exes because those normally don't end well, but not this one. From the start, I could tell Lacey and Daniel had a connection deeper than their attraction to one another. And though I will forever be an Emerson fan, I wanted Daniel to get his happily-ever-after too. At first I was surprised that his love interest would be Lacey, but as I read the story, I liked the idea more and more. These two couldn't be any more different in personality and beliefs, and it was truly heartwarming to see them overcome their differences and insecurity to be together. Truly the perfect novella in every way!

Thank you so much Melody for sending me this gem! I had a fun time unwrapping it!

Lacey James is on the way home to attend her best friend's wedding when she runs into Daniel Sullivan. Daniel had dated Lacey's friend but Lacey had always had a bit of a crush on Daniel, the nice guy that her friend had let get away who is the complete opposite of Lacey's wild personality. When Lacey and Daniel find themselves stranded and having to share a hotel room things get a bit out of hand between the pair but will the relationship last when they return to Beachwood Bay?

Unwrapped is a companion novella to the Beachwood Bay series by Melody Grace. As far as I know this one reads fine as a standalone story about just this couple since I myself haven't read the rest of the series. You do get to know this couple in this particular story and their time together though so it doesn't seem you need any other books to understand this one.

I was a bit iffy about this one since Lacey is meeting up with her friend's ex-boyfriend but my worries were put to rest in the story along those lines so in the end I really liked this read. Being a novella it passes by at a pretty quick pace but still a lovely tale of two people who had known each other but didn't get the chance to explore a relationship, definitely a case of opposites attracting.

Here’s some advice for free...Don’t plan your wedding for Christmas. Flights are grounded, roads are icy. But especially don’t plan an outdoor wedding. How nuts was that? 😳
I did like the heroine in this book. Lacey is headed home for her best friend’s wedding when the flight is grounded. But don’t worry, she meets up with the guy she’s been interested in for years. He’s hot and he’s interested in her. When my flights are grounded there aren’t any hot guys. There are hard plastic seats, screaming kids, and big, cold windows.
This is an adorable Christmas romance with fun characters. 😊

I fall more in love with the Beachwood Bay series with every book that comes out. Unwrapped was just as amazing as the rest! If you can’t tell already, I loved Unwrapped. It left me with a silly excited smile on my face. My only complaint is that I wanted it to be longer. I was just getting all wrapped up in my favorite people from Beachwood that I didn’t want it to end. Okay, I’ll stop gushing about my love for the series and move on to the story. If you haven’t read any of the Beachwood Bay series books, (you really should) this review might have a few spoilers from the first book.

We first met Lacey James and Daniel Sullivan in Unbroken, Lacey as Juliet’s best friend and Daniel as her ex. Unwrapped begins with Lacey in a rush to make her flight to Atlanta. In her mad rush she literally runs into Daniel. She hasn’t seen him for quite some time, but to her he still looks as good as he ever did. Running into him isn’t her only surprise; he is also on the same flight as her. Sitting next to him on the plane for four hours shouldn’t be a big deal, except for her suppressed feelings for him are starting to surface.

Daniel never really noticed Lacey while he dated Juliet, but running into her in the LAX airport has opened his eyes to how beautiful she really is. His flight home for Christmas just got a lot more interesting now that he is seated next to Lacey. He seems to be having a hard time controlling his body’s reaction to his very beautiful neighbor.

Everything is going as planned, until their flight has to be rerouted because of a blizzard in the Atlanta area. Stranding them together over night, suppressed feelings and some new surprising ones will surface and change everything Lacey and Daniel had planned or expected.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard Lacey and Daniel were getting their own story but I so wasn’t disappointed. Melody did an amazing job sucking the reader in and not letting them go till the end. I almost needed a fan with the blazing hot chemistry between Lacey and Daniel. These two got steamy! ;) It was also really nice to see the couples from the previous books. It’s great to see how their relationships have progressed. Now I cannot wait to read Garrett’s book, Unconditional. We get a little hint at the end of Unwrapped of who his leading lady will be and I’m very excited to see how that is going to play out.

To anyone who hasn’t picked up the Beachwood Bay series yet, please do, it’s a great series. To those who have, Unwrapped is a must read in the series.

"It's you" Daniel tells me, with a tender smile that makes my heart sing. I feel dizzy, light-headed, like this is alll just a dream, but no; he's here..."I don't know how, but...I couldn't just walk away." - Daniel

This story, a novella no less, definitely threw me for a loop, and in the best of ways!

Before I start, I'd like to say that this is the third story in the Beachwood Bay series and I recommend reading the ones before it (especially Unbroken), so you can get a better feel of the situation and characters. With that, there might be slight spoilers to those stories in my review, so be warned

The premise of this story revolves around the fact that Juliet and Emerson are getting married in Beachwood Bay, on Christmas Day no less. Though Lacey, Juliet's best friend, is the maid of honor, she's had to do all the planning via phone or internet, because she lives a coast away, in L.A.. On the day before Christmas, she's rushing to catch the last flight out, when she bumps into who else, but Daniel...Juliet's ex and the one she dumped to be with Emerson. To her surprise, they're sharing seats on the same flight, and when the plane has to land early due to a sudden blizzard, Lacey once again has no choice but to share the last available hotel room with Daniel...the guy she's always kind of had feelings for.

Now here's where I'd like to pause and point out how much I love it when authors can do what Melody Grace did here. When we first met Daniel in Unbroken, he wasn't necessarily a bad guy, but more along the lines of conceited, a little boring, and not at all aware of Juliet's wants or feeling. Suffice to say, I didn't like his character (and I also much preferred Juliet with Emerson). When I read the synopsis to this novella, I was worried how it would play out. Not only was Daniel not all that likable in Unbroken, but Lacey would be going after her friend's ex, which could get awkward. So the question is, did it work?

I won't spoil more the plot to you, except to say this story was really good. Though I enjoyed Lacey's character just fine (some of her insecurities could be a bit grating), Daniel definitely stole the show for me! Under that controlled facade was a passionate man who wanted to love and be loved. And the things he would say to Lacey...oh, that boy could make me *swoon*.

Unlike the other stories in the series, this is a novella, so it's quite short. Most of the action occurs over the course of almost a day and a half, and while that might seem like not enough time for a relationship to develop, we have to remember that these characters have known each other for years. In that time, they've been bottling up feelings they both weren't even aware they had, and when they finally let them loose, their chemistry was intense! To top it off, that final scene was really quite sweet!

Added to Daniel and Lacey's story, we get to see some of other favorites couples, like Brit and Hunter, while at the same time, we finally get to experience Juliet and Emerson's wedding. It was fun to see everyone find their peace and happy, especially after everything they've all been through. As always, Melody Grace is a spot on writer! Her Beachwood series will probably always be my favorite of hers, if simply because of the beautiful settings and great characters. Added to this Christmas story, we also get so see how some other characters (who I at all did no see coming together, but am now so excited to read their story) might be getting their own happily ever after in Unconditional.

All in all, this a great read to spice up your holiday list, and if you love this series, then it's a definite must read!

Unwrapped by Melody Grace is a sweet read in the Beachwood Bay series. Lacey James is running late for her friends wedding in Beachwood Bay. A winter wedding in the middle of a snowstorm. Running through the terminal she runs smack into Daniel Sullivan. Lacey always had a crush on him but he was going out with her girlfriend. her girlfriend dumped Daniel and is getting married tomorrow. On the plane they are seated next to each other. The plane is diverted to another airport because of the weather. They try all the car rentals - no cars. They try to get a room and there's only one room left. sexual tension is building between the two. they go to put dry clothes on. All Laceys clothes are checked in with her luggage. the carry on has the maid of honor dress. a red spaghetti strapped form fitting cocktail dress. Daniel is so aroused when he sees her. Will they make it to the wedding on time. Will the feelings they're experiencing be quenched?

FIVE UNWRAPPED STARS!!!!!!

How can I not love this?! I swear - Melody has this effortless way about her writing that she just demands you to feel and accept everything she's spread across the pages!

Like a greedy bookwhore - I take it without complain. And I love it effortlessly!

Daniel and Lacey's story is truly beautiful. A girl who thinks her life is all about hook ups, that she's the party girl destined for anything but the happily ever after. She fought with herself, denied herself the chance of happiness and settled for so little. I felt for her, and connected so easily, it was hard not to love her. <3

In the first book I remember the way she got angry with Juliet, the way her voice cracked when she was expressing how amazing Daniel was. I just knew she had feelings for him and the realization of her ignoring it, accepting that her best friend got the good guy?

She's just so loyal, strong and real. I freakin' love her and I'm so happy she got the start of her happily ever after <3 I'm also glad that Miss Melody seems to be continuing their story so am impatiently waiting for that :D

Daniel again! I always felt sad for him, sad for his loss but chalked it up to fate. But again - this author makes sure everyone is happy and Daniel would be no exception. He is so freaking amazing and that raw, animalistic, demanding way he reveals when with Lacey had me falling for him. I respected him and admired the fact that he was true to himself. He's happy for Juliet, and content because like he'd said - being with someone whose heart is doesn't hold wouldn't be the ideal happiness for him. So he was man enough to bow out and accept the inevitable. That's not to say it didn't fucking hurt.

But he's strong. Him and Lacey.

And together...

Not to mention, Garret always intrigued me and because his passed wasn't known I found myself always wondering! With that said, the little sneak peak this freakingly amazing author gave us with Garret made me a squealing mess! I swear - it's like the author hears the silent begging of her fans and just writes it!

I was shock to see Carina is gonna be opposite him and the little piece we got was cackling with electrified hatred...Thin line between love and hate...

So gonna be on the edge of my seat for this....and quite literally...

ANYTHING BY MELODY GRACE!

Seriously, when did you slither your way into my room of fav. authors???

A collection of sweet, fun holiday novellas that are perfect for reading on a chilly winter afternoon/evening. They definitely make me want to pick up this series to read , so that’s a plus.

There were a few spelling errors and at least once the point of view switched from third person to first but it was literally once word in a sentence, so it wasn’t enough to pull me out of the story.

My first thought when I heard what this novella was going to be about, I was giddy with excitement when I come to find out that Emerson and Juliet are getting married! What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic and I've been waiting for this power couple from the first book. But we go through some bumps on the road before we get there.

Rushing to catch her flight to make it to the bachelorette party and wedding on time, Lacey runs into Daniel, Juliet's ex, literally. They briefly catch up and exchange a few words, and learn that he too has moved to LA months ago for a job. It's been months since they have seen each other, but there's a undeniable charge between them. Well, Lacey has always had a thing for him. As fate would have it, they end up taking the same flight, even though they are headed in different directions. And to up the ante, they are seated next to each other for the next four hours of their flight. We get into the minds of both Lacey and Daniel, and they both find themselves lusting for each other. Sneaking glances, touches and thinking up naughty fantasies about each other. Worst comes to worst -- or best, depending how you look at it -- the plane has to make an impromptu stop due to a blizzard in their path, delaying their travels. As if it couldn't get any worse, there are no more rentals and the nearest hotel only has one room with -- surprise! -- only one bed, they find themselves forced to room with each other. There's a lot of pushing and pulling between them.

Daniel wants a girl suitable to his plans and lifestyle, and Lacey is not that kind of girl he is looking for. Or so he tries to convince himself. He's known her as the wild party girl that's into flings. Taking his gentlemanly behavior the wrong way, Lacey feels that he is not interested in her and it hits her hard in her chest and she doesn't know why. Picking up her pride, Lacey goes to the hotel bar to get a drink and finds someone to flirt with. Having that thought crossing Daniels mind, he finds himself hit with jealousy at the thought of having some guys paws all over her. That feeling confuses him. So they are both feeling things that they don't even understand, and it's doing their heads in. A game of truth or dare leads to one thing that continues in their hotel room. That dare. You'll know which dare I'm talking about. Wow, that was hot, even for semi-public-almost-sex. Then the sex that follows was hot and deep (pun intended too, I guess), not only on a hormonal level but on a emotional level too. He wanted to mark her his forever, while she wanted him to do just that. They bring out unlikely sides and feelings in each other. They connect body, mind, heart and soul. But come morning, miscommunication ensues and they are off to Juliet's wedding now that the blizzard has blown over. Well, Lacey is; Daniel is just dropping her off and driving back to the airport to catch his flight to New York. Leaving on that note do they realize that they have feelings for each other. Daniel is determined to not let her go, so he makes a u-turn back to the wedding and get the girl who stole his heart back.

Melody Grace never fails to make the chemistry between her characters effortlessly click and explosive with sexual tension and a whole lot of heart and humor in company. Lacey and Daniel are kind of an unlikely couple given that Lacey is a spitfire while Daniel rivals her with his sensible personality, but their chemistry couldn't be any more hotter. It could melt the snow. Even the blizzard that snowed them in. It was enjoyable to witness their banter, jokes, and sexual innuendos. I laughed, fanned myself and cheered them on. I even mentally slapped them both for not seeing what each other are feeling. Even I can tell that their hearts are in their eyes. At least Juliet had enough sense to see that too. After much indecision and doubt, they finally take that leap of faith and go for it. I totally ship them, almost as hard (pun intended) as I ship Juliet and Emerson, now that they are canon. I apologize for the fangirl vocab words and innuendos, you can blame Tumblr for that on both accounts. And a little on Melody, too [insert wink here].

It was a short and sweet story that kept the heat and butterflies going in the winter snow. I want to see where they are going in their life. As far as we know is that they plan to celebrate New Years with his family in New York, and then fly home since they both live in LA. I figure they can work out their living arrangements on their own since distance won't be a problem. As for the end, we're introduced -- or reintroduced -- to Garrett, Emerson's friend, and Brianna, Juliet's sister, in a rather cold (and I'm not just talking about the snow) and unfriendly encounter that sets things in motion for the next book, Unconditional. One I cannot wait to see how things between them go down.

5 Reasons To Read Unwrapped

It's a great holiday read. Whether your Christmas is covered in snow or not, it's a nice holiday read to cozy up to. It'll also warm you up in more ways than one.

The sex. I mentioned that it was hot, right? The almost-sex that occurs by the closed hotel pool AND the romp that follows in their hotel room. The foreplay, the act itself and the innuendos, the whole thing. It can satiate your desires and heart.

The unexpected. Daniel is the type who has his futures set in stone, until Lacey bumps into his life. The good things in life come when you least expect it. But once it lands on your lap (no sexual pun here), grab it by the reigns and don't let go.

The wedding. Who doesn't enjoy a beautiful wedding? Even the stresses that comes with it. The love and commitment between the couple to wed makes up for it. Whether you have read Emerson and Juliet's story or not, it's still enjoyable to see the happy couple officially seal their love on oath, a ring and a kiss.

Happily ever after. Or even Happy For Now. I will take it. Imagining where the unlikely couple will go from here on out, the possibilities are endless. Daniel sweeps Lacey off her feet and is ready to treat her like the queen she deserves to be. And Juliet and Emerson are off to their married life, wherever they may go.

My Favorite Quotes

Lacey: "It's December 24th and I'm running late." [Isn't that the story of our lives?]

Lacey: "What's German for 'get the hell out of my way?' Gee, thanks!"
Lacey: "Like a postcard. White ribbons and baby's breath and all the lace you need. If I could order you up a dusting of snow, I would."Juliet: "Don't say that! A blizzard will wreck my hair!" [I have to chuckle because I don't remember Juliet freaking out over anything that bad]Lacey: *laughs* "Chill, Jules. Go work out some of this stress on your hunk of a fiance, ok? You're probably driving him crazy with all this panicking."Juliet: "He went to go hang out with Garrett and Hunter. Said to call when I stopped acting like a crazy person." [I just about lost it then and there]

Lacey: "On board. it's like a holiday apocalypse every man for himself." [that's how I think of Black Friday]

I love all these little novellas in this series. I did not expect much from this series but I am not able to put these books down at all! Again we get to see our favorites Juliet and Emerson. So in this one we have Lacey and Daniel. One thing that gets me with this is girls don’t date friends exs…….except Daniel is Laceys friend ex. Which to me is a little weird. For only being 100 pages this was a good one especially with the winter snow storm thrown in there.

If you know me then you know I love all things Melody Grace and Beachwood Bay is one of my favorite places to visit. Even though this is just a novella, it really packed a punch and I loved the quick trip to Beachwood Bay for the holidays. Oh yeah, and Emerson and Jules wedding of course.

Lacey is living in LA now trying to make it as designer to the stars. Things aren’t going quite the way she planned and she’s catching the cheapest flight out to Georgia for Jules’ and Emerson’s wedding. While racing to catch her flight, she runs (literally) into Daniel, Jules’ ex-fiance and the subject of her unrequited crush. They end up on the same flight, seated next to each other and then later stuck in a snowstorm in Atlanta. Sexual tension rises and things get real steamy. Is it just one night of passion or is something more brewing between these two?

I really like Lacey and I think she is a good friend. She didn’t quite understand Jules’ decision in Unbroken until she realized the love she had for Emerson. She thought she was crazy for leaving Daniel for a guy that had ripped out her heart. However, she could clearly see now how much Emerson really loves Jules and that they are meant for each other. Lacey always harbored a secret crush on Daniel but never felt good enough to garner his attention. She is fun, outgoing and the party girl type. While she seems confident with who she is, I think it’s a bit of a front because she feels like she can never get a good, kind, caring man like Daniel.

Daniel is all about perfection and control. He is one of the nice guys but like the saying goes, he feels like he is always finishing last. He is still mending a broken heart after losing Jules but when he runs into Lacey, Jules is the last thing on his mind. Daniel is seeing Lacey with open eyes and he’s having a really hard time being the “gentleman” he normally is. I liked Daniel a lot and I was glad to see him loosen up a bit and not be so perfect. Who knew he had such a naughty side to him?

The sexual tension between these two was intense and watching them try to deny the feelings they were having around each other was hilarious. Daniel is obviously affected by Lacey but he tries so hard to fight it. At first Lacey feels rejected but when she sees the desire in his eyes, she’s determined to get at least one night out of Daniel even if she’d like so much more. And what a steamy night they share! They have serious chemistry and I don’t think one night will ever be enough for either of them. Lacey doesn’t give herself or Daniel enough credit and immediately puts her guard back up. I needed Daniel to step up and finally go after what he wants. I was afraid he would let her go but in the end he didn’t disappoint me. I think these two are prefect for each other because they can balance each other out. Lacey has finally met a man who will treat her with love and respect and make her feel as special as she is and Daniel has met someone who can bring out the fun and spontaneous side of him. They’re a perfect fit!

While this was a quick and cute read, it was also able to bring out all the feels in such a short timeframe. I was definitely impressed with how developed this novella was and how wrapped up I became in the story. I hope we get a little bit more of Lacey and Daniel in the future!

Secondly, Melody is not allowed to stop writing. Ever.
Now, in my opinion I feel in order to fully appreciate Unwrapped I you really should read the first book in the series, Unbroken. You won't be lost if you don't, but it's just better if you do.

Despite Unwrapped being a novella, Lacey and Daniel's story still had all of the intensity and passion I've come to expect and love with Melody's stories. She never lets me down.
They're just beautiful, romantic, sexy love stories. Heading cross country for Juliet and Emerson's Christmas wedding, Lacey unexpectedly bumps into Daniel (yes, THAT Daniel, as in Juliet's ex fiance Daniel) at LAX. He's heading home to his folks for the holidays. I felt the electricity from that first bump.
An unexpected blizzard forces their flight to land early, and they're left sharing the last room at the airport hotel. Turns out Lacey has always felt a certain kind of way for Daniel, and Daniel is starting to see Lacey in a completely new light. He realizes she may not be the total wild child hot mess he once thought she was.
Not only was there chock full o'plenty passion and intensity in the sexy dept, there was also plenty of
angst too.Told in a dual POV, these two had me grrr'ing in glorious frustration! Both kept misinterpreting the others words and actions. Lacey thought he was still hung up on Juliet and Daniel thought he was just one of Lacey's usual one night stands. I just wanted to smack them both and yell "just tell him/her how you feel." Eventually they came to their senses so I didn't have to get aggressive with them. I NEED more from them. I HAVE to see what the future has in store for them. I felt like Unwrapped was the perfect appetizer for Lacey and Daniel and I'm ready for the main course, in the form of a full length book. PLEASE :-)

Unwrapped gave me all the feels I want in a book with characters I love

Lacey & Daniel's story.

This is not a stand alone book. Read "unbroken" first.

Unwrapped is about Juliet's best friend Lacey and ex-boyfriend Daniel stranded at an airport en route to Juliet and Emerson's wedding at Beachwood Bay.

I was divided in "Unbroken" when Juliet choose Emerson over Daniel. Both guys had such great attributes to love, but "love" being the operative word. I can't fault Juliet for following her heart.

Daniel is kind, loving, predictable, goal driven, and a sensible planner. Boring maybe to some people.

"...I tried to treat her like a queen. And then she goes and picks the asshole in a leather jacket."

Lacey is energetic, flirtatious, and spontaneous. A complete 180 from Daniel. They've known each other through mutual friends and she'd harbored feelings for him and never would expect the feelings to reciprocate. Given the current circumstances and the "bestie ex code."

Daniel: "I've never had Juliet's heart at all, because she'd already given it to someone else." "I wish them the best. I hope she's happy."

Lacey: "Really?" Because if I were in your shoes, I'd be at home making voodoo dolls and like, cursing them to an eternity of impotence and explosive diarrhea."

Lacey is freaking hilarious. She is exactly what Daniel needs.

I don't want to give too much away because it's such a short and fun read. You'll learn to love Lacey and understand and love Daniel.

Holy Holy Hotness. Melody Grace delivers a spicy and sensual little morsel just in time for the holidays.

Lacey James is a hot mess. She is spontaneous and spunky all wrapped up in a gorgeous package. She has the men eating out of her hand. All of them except one, that is. Daniel...

Daniel cannot believe his luck. His ex-fiances best friend slams into him while running through the airport to catch a flight to, you guessed it, his ex-fiances wedding. But, when Daniel boards the plane and sees that the destiny has Lacey sitting in the seat next to him his body reacts in a way he never expected. For the first time he sees Lacey through different eyes...

*BOB Alert* The chemistry between Lacey and Daniel will have your panties wet and you will need some relief after the pool scene. Hot Damn! Make sure you get to the store for some batteries for BOB because you are going to need them.

I loved, loved, loved this story. This is the first novella that I have read in this series and Melody hooked me so hard that I went and bought UNBROKEN and UNAFRAID and I cant wait to read them.

If you want a tantalizing treat for the holidays pick up UNWRAPPED. I guarantee that you will enjoy the smoking hotness between Lacey and Daniel so much you will be begging for Melody Grace to write more. Please give me more Daniel and Lacey @Melody_Grace_.

What I "Unwrapped" was another captivating story in the Beachwood Bay Series that left me wanting more. Daniel and Lacey's story was HOT and SEXY!

Who would have thought that a blizzard and a game of Truth or Dare would be the wake up call to what you have been missing. Sometimes what you think you need is not actually what the heart wants.

Lacey and Daniel's connection was radiating off the pages. It was a super quick and engaging read. Melody Grace again delivers a heart warming story with engaging characters.

We arrive in Beachwood Bay just in time to celebrate the wedding of my favs Julianne & Emerson. We also get a moment or two with Brit and Hunter and Garrett.

The story ends on a high note, but left me wanting more of Daniel and Lacey. I will keep my fingers crossed that there will be more to come of their story.

Looks like I will be adding yet another Melody Grace book to my TBR. Garrett and Brianna's story "Unconditional" will be coming in 2014.

I received an ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

Note: I received a copy of this book from InkSlinger PR and the author in exchange of a fair and honest review.

Holy shit what a HOT Christmas novella! This has got to be the BEST game of truth or dare ever! I never imagined that Lacey and Daniel would end up together but they are a great couple! I found myself so involved with them and their story that I wouldn't have minded this being a full book.

Poor Daniel and Lacey, sometimes they were so awkward around each other that it was ridiculously cute! I'm glad they found each other because one was to the other what the other mostly needed!

I love that we got to see Juliet and Emerson's wedding! It was beautiful! And I loved the sneak peak to what Garrett's story will be all about! I can't wait for that!

Overall, I loved this novella! You NEED to read it!

I received an ARC for an honest review, and let me start by saying, I read this book in 8 hours. It would have taken longer.. but I have been at work all day too. ;)

I love the Beachwood Bay series, and I've really enjoyed all of the books and their prequels in that series. This was no exception!

Five words really started it all.. "let's play truth or dare." I knew then it was about to get started! I loved the characters, they had a fast paced romance, but it was steamy. One aggravating thing was, I just wanted to shake them and scream "go talk to each other!"

The book ended kinda soon for me, I was expecting it last longer. It said I was 87 percent through, then it ended. It was short, too short. But, that's because the story was good! I enjoyed it! Thank you!

I absolutely love this series and this novella was a great addition. If you are looking for a quick steamy holiday read this would be it. I loved following Daniel and Lacey's story. I just wish it was a little longer. I truly believe that there is more story to these two. I would've love to see where their story would've taken them. I also liked that we got to see all the past characters in this novella. It's always great to catch up on past characters.

I would definitely recommend this whole series to everyone looking for a great series to read. These books actually seemed to get better as they go on!!!!

I am such a fan of Melody Grace! Unwrapped was such a great story because it not only introduced us to the budding relationship and romance between Lacey and Daniel, but also included Juliet & Emerson's wedding! Two amazing things wrapped into one! In past books I've always enjoyed the sassy Lacey, but in this book you get to experience a different side of her, a more emotional side, someone actually afraid to have her heart broken. And we've met Daniel before as Juliet's fiancé, but wow! Seeing this less preppy side of him was such a treat! Such a fun novella to put you in the holiday spirit, and wait till you see who's book is next!

I read this not knowing it was part of a series. It was a lovely novella. Although short, there was enough insight to the characters and I loved them both! They were kind of opposites attract but then Lacey wasn't really the type of girl Daniel had thought. Once he saw, my were we all in for the ride! :D

Finally Lacey and Daniel get their Happily Ever After! The bad girl meets the good boy, but the quickly learn that their impressions of each other are off. Like the other Beachwood Bay books before it, this book is funny, dramatic, and sexy. Melody is quickly becoming a fave author of mine with each book I read!

Fantastic story. I never would have pictured Daniel like this from the first book. Very much enjoyed his story with Lacey. Look. If you enjoyed all the books from this series you will like this as much. Great story.

4 1/2 stars! I usually don't like novellas too much, but Melody Grace does a great job in building this short story and wrapping it up in a nice neat bow! I hope their is more of these two in books to come!

I actually enjoyed the book, wasn’t sure at first. I think post-holiday anxiousness may have yielded the mood. But once into the book and characters it was enjoyable! I simply had too many things interfearring with my read time! Last minutes everything coming up and taking my quiet read times from me. I think also I gave four stars simply because of starting stopping my reads......it’s a good book.

I read much and often when I can. Some say I’m a fast reader but I can assure you I don’t miss much when there are strong enough story line and good characters in the plot. This was very good and would recommend this to friends and family. I will read this author again.

Enjoy your reads!

This is the second book I read of this series but there gaps due to this being put in a preview stories of the series. I think these are probably shorter due to this and the main reason why I gave this the star rating I did.

The hero and heroine know each other due to hero dating and the engaged to the heroine’s bff. This is why the heroine tried never to be around her bff and the hero - she had developed feelings for him but never acted on them.

Now they were both headed to the same state - her for the bff’s wedding and him back home. They end up having to land, no rentals and last room. After spending time together they finally get to NY. Then things get really interesting. A worthy read if it’s in a longer format. It seemed rushed in this smaller format.

I love the characters of Beachwood Bay. They are all just so real and relatable. Lacey has been a side character and it was great to see more of her and for her to get a little happiness. Juliette and Emerson's wedding is the perfect backdrop for Lacey to fall for Daniel (Juliette's ex) especially when you add in all the fun of trying to make it to the wedding at Christmas with a blizzard, no flights and no hire cars. This story has all the emotions, it is funny, heartbreaking and loving. This is a great short Christmas read.
