Introduction to Literature: Poems

Rate this book
Included in Poems are both acknowledged and less celebrated works of special merit or usefulness for teaching. The arrangement of poems is chronological within a poet's work, and the poets are arranged by date of birth. Thus the student may view the poem in its historical setting when a sense of its intellectual milieu contributes - as it usually does - to its thorough explication.

I liked this textbook so much in high school that I tried to buy it from my AP English teacher. That didn't fly, so I bought another copy for myself.
