A nice book for the beginning counsellor. It was not was expecting, but I was surprised at what the amount of material it covered. While it does not cover a great deal of emotional-themed material (i.e., this is not a how-to guide) it does give excellent coverage of the things one may run in to while being a counsellor or therapist.

The sections on ethical considerations, dual relationships, and the practical/business side of counselling were excellent.

A little pricey, but highly recommended for anyone going into the field. I would say this is a top 3 book anyone should read before seeing their first client.
