Rate this book
Using Train Your Brain, in two years, Ive gone from zero to a

million dollars a year in my business and paid off $30,000 in debt!

~ Sarah Thomas, Basehor, KS

When Dana Wilde began her direct-sales business, she realized that education for entrepreneurs typically consisted of endless how-to how to market, how to pick up the phone, how to manage your time, how to increase bookings or sales. There always seemed to be a new system to learn, a new surefire method or cutting-edge technique for entrepreneurs to master.

In an effort to teach her team members a better and easier way, Dana Wilde created Train Your Brain, a tested and proven system combining elements of both mindset and action or as Dana likes to call it, Intentional Action.

What Dana discovered by using Train Your Brain is that mindset can be taught and that learning simple mindset strategies not only allows you to understand how the brain works but also shows you how easy it is to change your thinking and, as a result, change your outcomes.

In Train Your Brain, Dana breaks down the Cycle of Perpetual Samenessthe number one reason why most people only experience incremental change in their lives. More importantly, she also provides the much-needed blueprint to help you get off this counterproductive cycle quickly.

Train Your Brain, with its twenty easy-to-implement Mindware Experiments, gives you all the necessary tools needed to get off and stay off the Cycle of Perpetual Sameness, so you can transform your life and grow your business in record time!

I already know that this will be the best book I've read all year. wilde has an amazingly clear way to describe emotions and that all thoughts are the source of emotions. her scale of emotions is really helpful, including how we can only move one step away from each emotion ie you can't jump from anger to joy.

I had not even finished the book and I was already experiencing a quieting of negative thoughts. I thought that was really interesting!

Read this book with a business book club. I work in direct sales. This book reminds the reader that mindfulness is a powerful tool and can be used in MANY sitatuions - primarily it focuses on business, but it is easy to see how these lessons and challenges are applicable to relationships and other scenarios. The main takeaway is that your view of the inside world will always match your view of the outside world. What does that mean? It means that for instance, if you hate your job because you think no one likes or appreciates you, you'll go to work and find that no one likes or appreciates you. Your brain (in that instance) is trained to simply zoom in on all the evidence that already supports your belief. This is a book that I will read over and over. It contains life lessons to make one much happier and more content.

This book started off really slow for me. Many of the suggestions I had heard plenty before and I wondered if I was wasting my time reading this book. I pushed through and came to some suggestions that resonated with me as possibly helping me to move forward. It’s setup to move back and forth between the main reading and experiments in the back. And one doesn’t have to rush through it all. It’s better served taking ones time to process.

Loved this book. I actually listened to it through my direct sales team's support materials. It really helped me change my thinking. Not just in my direct sales business, but personally as well.
I'm planning on getting a physical copy so I can read it and make notes and check out all the exercises again!

While this book is focused on direct selling success, the principles are broadly relevant to human experience. Themes of positive self-talk and mantras are rooted in sound neuroscience. When I first discovered Train Your Brain, I was very skeptical, thinking it was the kind of book you'd buy in a dark little shop with tinkly music and patchouli incense. I don't remember why I decided to try the techniques and tools Dana Wilde outlines, but I chose to give them a shot for 30 days. The results were significant and powerful. The way I interacted with the world and my own negative thoughts changed markedly. I recommend these tools all the time now, as I found them to be life-improving.

A very good read. This book was surprisingly eye opening. I had a few of those "ah ha!" moments. I immediately compared this book to The Secret by Rhonda Byrne but then quickly realized that this was definitely different in that this book actually goes into in depth and great scientific detail about how you can change your brain mindset. The Secret to me is more like wishing with affirmations. The concept behind this book actually has you stopping yourself in your own tracks and correcting your thoughts on the spot. The Secret has you repeating affirmations just for the sake of repeating and putting it out there to the universe. There are many experiments and examples of you can take your current emotional situation (business related) and by applying it to a timeline concept you apply the concepts and can change it up your not-so-great emotion within in a matter of minutes. I do believe that these same learned concepts can work for personal issues as well but the time it takes to move out of one emotion into another better emotion may require greater lengths of time. Total thumbs up for this book! It's a keeper and you will want to read it again and refer back to it often. You can't help but be better a better person by applying these concepts.
