From the seed of a silver apple came the wardrobe. Through the wardrobe came four children. To these children came a special magic. With that magic came seven unforgettable stories.

Clive Staples Lewis was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954. He was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and been transformed into three major motion pictures.
I was delighted when I found this gem (and another copy for the library!) in the children's section. When I opened it to Aslan coming out of a stone tablet I knew.
Since then I've been playing with all the interactive tabs like a happy five year old. Being an adult is great.
Additional notes after reading:
This was a lovely little addition to the Narnia series. While it doesn't give you much in terms of extra info, it's a nice summary of the series and is definitely appropriate for younger readers of the series.
*Ahem*
That being said, I'm still going to gush over every little interactive piece in this book until someone pulls it out of my hands.
One of those incredible pop-up books that we librarians love to pore over, but regret to see destroyed by careless hands at the library. The whole book is worth it for the pop-up of Aslan emerging from the cracked stone table!!!
This is a fun interactive book that can either introduce readers to the stories of Narnia or remind readers of the world of Narnia. The timeline at the bottom of each page varies in detail, but as a Narnia fan who has read the books numerous times, I didn't mind, and looking through this picture book, I now want to reread the series (not that I really need any prompting!).

It was a cute, interactive, and quick way to sum up the series. I got this as a child and still own it now. It is enjoyable and a nice refresher. The art and pull outs are fun and colorful. I liked the added years and quotes from the stories added in.
This is a wonderful interactive book that summarizes the Chronicles of Narnia. Very well done and fun to read even as an adult who has read the Chronicles dozens of times in my life.
Lovely book. I had seen this in The Works a while back and though i would like to get it but then forgot about it. When i saw it this time ir was reduced and also in perfect condition, in to the trolley it went!
I love all the little interactive bits in the book, it makes it so much more interesting and fun. Children should read this in conjunction with the novels to add more accessible knowledge of the story.
This is an awsome book!!! I read the narnia books, and fell in love with the entire world, and now I am considered by many the Narnia Expert. I know all about Narnia, and C.S. Lewis.
