Ken-ichi Sakura made his debut in Monthly Shonen Jump with the manga Fabre Tanteiki, which was in 2000. He began Dragon Drive in the March 2001 issue of Monthly Shonen Jump, which went on to be a successful anime and even bred its own video games. His latest work, Kotokuri, began running in March 2006's volume in Monthly Shonen Jump.

While hunting down a legendary dragon, Reiji ends up arrested after he is mistaken for a bandit - but when one of his arresters decides to free him, they team up to save the village that had accused Reiji! Sakura will astound with this heartwarming and witty entry. Can Reiji and his new ally stop such a grandiose dragon?

The series seems to be getting...worse? I suspect it just found its comfort zone, and that comfort zone is a mediocre alternate-world story.
