Step One: Read Finding Love’s Wings

Step Two: Allow your eReader to cool off (Note* This is also a good time for a few deep breathing exercises, a little stretching)

Step Three: Hang out the Do Not Disturb sign and settle in for Chasing Love’s Wings

Cami and Tristan’s story is so intense, so complicated and so hot, that one book wasn’t enough, so Zoey Derrick continues to cause rapid heart rates and overheating with Chasing Love’s Wings, the sequel to Finding Love’s Wings. Things are looking up for Cami and Tristan, until Cami’s very foundations are rocked once again and even Tristan’s support and unconditional love may not be enough to help her find her way out of the dark abyss she is falling into. Will she run or will she trust in all that Tristan is offering her? Will she ever feel worthy or will she become her own worst enemy? Will their love story become a fairytale romance with a happy ever after?

Zoey Derrick continues to pour on the heat, the heart, the pain and the joy of Cami and Tristan’s tale. Are we at risk of contributing to global warming? She welcomes us back to her world and back into the company of her characters that populate it without missing a beat or losing momentum. She brings the “beautiful people” down to human level with her “all that is uniquely Zoey” style. She has cleverly inserted a few more hurdles to test the bond between Cami and Tristan and allowed them to react as they may, knowing they both have pasts to overcome and that takes time. Heck, she even allows Cami and Tristan to talk money! Tristan is not the typical knuckle-dragging alpha male; his strength comes from his unwavering love for Cami and his desire to give her what she has never had. Cami has an inner strength that even she is unaware of, but it is hidden so deeply, I feared Ms. Derrick wouldn’t able to enlighten that girl in time! But that’s part of the magic that is Ms. Derrick’s style, right after she blasts you in the face with high-stress tension; she gently nudges her characters back on track, or at least close.

So as we know from book #1; Cami and Tristan has both planned to escape reality with a trip to a remote island and neither one expected that trip to be quite so life changing!

Its just a shame that their normal lives aren't quite so paradise like! :(

Whilst Tristan is away on business Cami receives a parcel that blowsher world apart. She turns to alcohol to help hide her pain and hurt. Tristan returns to find Cami very drunk and still wearing the same clothes she had on when he left. Then he finds out why. But Tristan is helpless to stop Cami from self-destructing.

Tristan tries to help Cami as much as possible but she is hell bent on continuing with her self-destructive behaviour. Cami pushes Tristan further and further away, really testing the limit of his love for her. But will Cami push too much? Or will she learn to trust Tristan and let him in?

This is a continuation of Finding Loves Wings, and has more drama. After reading what Zoey Derrick has but Cami through I honestly do not know how a real person would cope or deal with it. Which makes it all the more believable and easy to accept Cami's reaction to the events she faces! (Sorry for being so cryptic, but I don't want to give too much away!)

I'm glad that Tristan is prepared to fight for Cami's love and trust, he tries incredibly hard to be there for Cami, to help her deal with everything her life throws at her, to prove that he won't run away and that she can trust him. There was one part in particular where my heart felt like it was in a vice about to be crushed. Finding Love's Wings caused me to feel sad but happy at the same time.

This is so hard to write without including spoilers! To avoid spoilers I'm moving away from the storyline...

Zoey Derrick has managed to make her characters continue to evolve and grow. They have become stronger and more defined by every experience be it good or bad. Zoey Derrick's writing style is once again easy to follow and easy to imagine myself a part of.

I did find that the copy I received had a few spelling and grammar mistakes but that didn't take away from the enjoyment of reading this fantastic novel. I'm so glad to have a part of this tour and to have been introduced to Zoey Derrick's work. I look forward to my next encounter with a book written by Zoey Derrick; which ever one that may be!

I didn’t read the first book in this series but I found that I wasn’t lost at all in this book Chasing Love’s Wings. The author accomplished character development so well; it was easy to be up to date on the characters early in the story.

Cami was about to discover a well hidden secret that could ruin her life. When it was revealed she took the less mature, more dramatic path of self-destruction through a bottle to deal with the lies and deception. Tristian came to her rescue that night and helped her pick up the pieces to her shattered world, but soon we were left to question if his love was enough for her to want to stay and face it.

After trying to find a way to forgive the past, deception continued to present itself, and then more surprises sent Cami into hiding for weeks. Tristan is beside himself with worry and begins to back out of job commitments all in hopes of trying to find her before it is too late for them. Once he does locate her he is in for yet another surprise. Okay I will admit it, he was hot before this moment but he had me melting in a Tristan puddle during this scene. Oh what I would give for a man who would hunt me down and behave like that.

Ok so now they have to decide if being together is worth facing down the demons at their door trying to destroy their happiness. They have some awesome friends around them for support and help which I might add the author did just as fabulous of a job with her secondary characters as she did with Cami and Tristan. This group of people were just fun to watch, yet real enough to the reader to make emotions flow. I loved the ending and how the author just let the story flow and come to a natural conclusion. Yes this plot is a bit predictable if you are a romance lover, but the characters give it a unique feel. Because I never do things in order, I am going to go back and get Finding Love’s Wings so I can see how these two started out. With the level of passion and romance in this book, I can only imagine the sparks flying in the first one.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. You can find the original review on Genuine Jenn

I read this series a little backwards starting with this book first instead of Finding Love's Wings. I usually don't like skipping books in a series because for the most part you get totally lost from the beginning especially if there was a cliff hanger in the last book. This book isn't like that. I was able to pick up Chasing Love's Wings and jump right into a great story. I felt like I received enough back ground on the characters that I was able to easily get into the story and love the characters.

Zoey Derrrick has taken me on another great journey with more solid characters that really are hard to not fall in love with. Tristan and Cami have this steamy and passionate relationship. Tristan is by far one of my favorite male characters in the books I have read lately. He is hot, sensitive and would do anything for Cami. Cami is a strong women with her head on right even if she doesn't think so at times who would blame her when she is thrown for a loop about a person from her past. After everything Cami goes through she and Tristan find that their love for each other is strong enough to handle everything.

This characters are well developed and the story flows right along with no lulls or jumping around. I love being able to have both Cami & Tristan tell their story as it is happening. By the end of this story I was smiling from ear to ear but also had some happy tears. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a little more of Tristan & Cami.

Series: Love’s Wings #2
Category /Genre: Contemporary Romance
Received from: Zoey Derrick (in exchange for an honest review)
Tour by: Read Between the Lines
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Grammar/editing: ungraded – book received as an unedited ARC / errors excused

This is the second book in the Love’s Wings series. They do need to be read in order.

After they met on the beautiful island of Tarah near Bora Bora, Tristan and Cameron must return to their real lives. When startling secrets are revealed, Cam reacts badly first with alcohol and then with hiding herself away from those who love her. Can Tristan love her enough to bring her back from the brink of her own path of self-destruction?

Spoiler: though the description suggests it may be, this is not horribly dark. The dark path is short, because this is, after all, a romance series. The real story is in the family of blood and the family created by hearts. Remember, sometimes your closest family started out as friends.

I love you Zoey, even if you *are* a Ravens fan. (At least you didn’t hate on my Steelers this time!) This book was a perfect continuation of Finding Love’s Wings and was beautifully done. I was captivated simple because it not was just a long HEA. This was no fairy-tale ending to the previous book. Instead, I was shocked, surprised, and happy right alongside these book-friends. I am sad to say good-bye to the whole gang.

This is book 2 in the series and you most definitely need to read book one, Finding Love's Wings, in my opinion before delving into more Cami & Tristan! I received an ARC for review purposes. No compensation was offered nor would it have been accepted. The following is my honest opinion!

First, let's get the bad out of the way: lots of errors and editing mishaps. HOWEVER, this was an e-ARC I had received. As we all know, ARCs are subject to change and final edits, so hopefully those were applied and will not detract from your enjoyment of this book.

I found Cami frustrating as hell in this book and truly admired the way Tristan handled her. While I understand that the news she learns can make one upset, the way she reacted was asinine and childish and after the first book, I really expected more of her.

Again, I like that Tristan and Cami are from similar backgrounds and financial status. They both have endured hurt and loss and they both have comfortable means. There is no poor girl meets a rich guy or poor guy meets a princess in this love tale and I absolutely loved that about this book. Tristan will endear himself to you as he cares for Cami and worries over her. Cami will frustrate you but the ending is one that will make you sigh with relief. I do recommend reading book one. Not only do you see how these two lovebirds meet, but you also learn more about the significance of their body art and how their lives were seemingly destined to be.

This is a continuation of Finding Love's Wings. Not too much drama, the problem is the way Cami handles it. Cami became so self destructive after finding out more devastating news. I really wanted to shake her several times for some of the dumb things she did. Tristan still stood by her thru it all. The love scenes are steamy without going overboard with the details. Tristan may not be an alpha male (which I love) but he is perfect for Cami and they make a great couple. Plus, I always love a HEA and an epilogue to tie up loose ends, which this book has. I really enjoyed this book.

Another awesome read by Zoey Derrick! Her books are always amazing and worth the read, I love this series almost as much as her other series (The Reason Series). This is book 2 in the Wing's series and you def. must read book 1 first to know what is going on. This book contains, love, drama, heartbreak, betrayal....yep pretty much anything that a reader looks for in a book. The characters are well developed, easy to understand and become instant friends of the reader. The storyline is fast moving and makes the reader want more! What a winner Zoey has here!

You must read Finding Love's Wings before you read this.

This book is absolutely brilliant. I loved the first book but this may have topped it.
Cami and Tristan are two fantastic characters... Ok hold it there. I'm not going to spoil the story. I'm going to say this is a brilliant romantic story that needs to be read. I've literally ignored life around me until I read this book. I really can't put into words how much I loved this story.

I highly recommend you 1-click this series.

It's a long road to a happy ending for this power couple. Don't get me wrong they are happy, but Cami can't stay happy without doing something to push Tristan away.
How much can they both accept before Cami calls it quits? You'll have to read to find out.

Holy crap! I love this series!!!

As beautiful as "Finding Love's Wings" was, I just didn't expect this book to go the way it did right off the bat. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I was just surprised. This book was just as wonderful as the first, but definitely more emotional. Lots of ups and downs and challenges to face for Camille and Tristan. All their friends were in this book too...Jolene, Naomi, Beau, Tyson, and Trevor. There were also repeat appearances by Trinity, Vinnie, Jesse and Rayne.
I love the way Zoey builds on the surrounding characters to set up future stories! This book was so enthralling and so well written with a gripping storyline and characters. Zoey Derrick has quickly become one of my favorite authors! I can't wait to read what she has in store for us next!

Oh man I couldnt put this book down after reading Finding Love's Wings. Zoey does an amazing job as always of pulling you into a story so far that you cannott possibly put it down.

This book delves into more detail about Cami and her life with her parents and the turmoil she goes through during her and Tristen's relationship. This book made me cry on several occasions not just for Cami and the pain she endures but for Tristen as well for what Cami puts the poor man through.

Its all worth it to see the truly happy ending of this amazing book. How they get through everything and deal with a quick blooming love. Along with all the crazy suprizes along the way for both of them. Such a strong and true love story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Well , book two in the Loves Wings series by Zoey Derrick , Chasing loves wings was definitely 💯 times better than the first one . The first book took me what seemed like nearly two weeks to get through it . This one was less than a week . It gave more of the love story between Cami and Tristan . Love and forgiveness , second chances , the chemistry between the two of them . I had a very hard time putting this one down because I just absolutely loved the love story being told here .

When the writer knows what they are talking about, an honest review is simple. The writing pulls at your heart...makes you want to fight for love, and will make you not want to put the book down!!! I cant get enough of the characters. The emotion that you can feel through each page. Love that makes your heart want to...re-read...over & over. This is an easy enjoyable read !

Hot damn, CHASING LOVE'S WINGS opens with a hell of a shocker and just keeps on going.

Things were so blissful between CEO Cami Elders and Hollywood megastar Tristan Michaels. Their whirlwind romance on the island of Tarah has carried over into the real world, but their love is tested when Cami's very foundation implodes. As she struggles to come to grips with her new reality, Tristan stands by her side…even when she does her best to push him away. But just how many times can the blows keep coming? Cami's subsequent self-destructive behavior causes trouble between the couple and begins to takes its toll on their fairytale romance.

CHASING LOVE'S WINGS is the second book in the Love's Wings Series as well as the overall "world" that includes the 69 Bottles spinoff series (which I loved). My jaw dropped clean on the floor upon the opening chapter and had me speed reading to find out WTF!? It was sad watching Cami self-destruct, and while part of me thought Tristan was like, THE best guy ever for standing by her side, another part thought he needed to grow a pair and put his foot down when she acted like an epic bitch. He totally enabled her bad behavior. Her bipolar tendencies weren't my favorite, the "LEAVE ME ALONE!" followed immediately by "I'm sorry, I love you." were a bit maddening, especially since those moments seemed set to repeat frequently throughout the book.

Insanely observant readers of the first book, Finding Love's Wings, may notice that the spelling of Cami's dad's name changes from book to book, and that Tristan's mom suddenly became his mum at the end of this one (among several other errors). While my inner grammar czar threw a complete and utter temper tantrum, those issues only slightly detracted from the wild and crazy ride Ms. Derrick took me on in CHASING LOVE'S WINGS.

Bottom Line: Interesting follow up read that had me salivating at the juicy drama in Ms. Derrick's world.

Tristan and Cami!!

I am pretty overwhelmed with how much I enjoyed the story of Tristan and Cami. This was the PERFECT conclusion to their love story. Tristan Michaels has now made his way onto my top BBF list. The story flowed well. The sex was steamy! The dialogue was awesome. Need I say more?

Zoey Derrick knocked this out of the park! 5-STARS!!!!

Excellent ending to the Loves Wings series. Cami and Tristan have a deeply scarred past and they both thrive under each others ministrations. I love how they go from point A to point B while supporting and helping each other along the way.

True passion and love, with friendship to help guide them through.

So this time around, Tristan cries as often as Cami does. But she really put him through a wringer in this story. Poor guy. I think I would have left her ass the second time I came home finding her drunk....
I still enjoyed the story because quite frankly, I really respected Tristan's devotion. He was all in and didn't let anything get in-between his love for her.
