Operation Snakebite

Rate this book
The most dangerous people on Earth live in the shadows, where what you don't know usually gets you killed. Unless someone even deadlier can save you...

Unaware she’s carrying incriminating microfiche hidden in her borrowed purse, an innocent female CIA office worker is about to be kidnapped by the KGB, according to intercepted intelligence. During September 1986, CIA officials are searching for the mole compromising the agency’s network of Soviet-bloc agents. To throw suspicion elsewhere, the mole or his handler arranges for someone else to plant partially real information about counter-spies on Lisa Fairchild, who has just flown from BWI Airport to New Orleans.

Presently only monitored by the CIA, she’s likely to be liquidated by them if they can’t stop the kidnapping. But the Ghost Cavalry Battalion has a very different option — Team Spearpoint’s new mission is to rescue Fairchild during those few minutes when she’s out of reach by either extreme… and then escape with her. If they can all reach safety, they must work together to try to figure out who set her up.

Fans of James Rollins, Tom Clancy, LT Vargas & Tim McBain, and Lisa Jewell should find Operation Snakebite irresistible.

Operation snakebite

Nice to learn about the early history of the team before they start there jobs in the future. Nice to see them switching team members around to get the best people together to see how they work together.

It's a confusing start for the KCB Series.
A plague of Russian KGB descends upon New Orleans, causing much mayhem. At the story’s end, it is still not very clear who did what to whom for any relevant reason.

This is a fast moving and suspenseful read. Stayed up past bedtime several nights reading characters out of tight spots! Thoroughly enjoyable!
