In this, the third Emmie Reese mystery short story, our heroine is confronted by four separate mysteries, the final one involving a murder in her own home. Emmie is an ambitious young writer who attempts to resurrect a literary magazine in an effort to promote her work. And though the story takes place in 1902, she faces many of the same obstacles young writers of today face--though few of her modern counterparts need worry about vengeful countesses.

Finding himself misplaced in the 21st century, Robert Bruce Stewart has opted to retire to what he hopes will be a more congenial era for a person of his sensibilities by means of fiction writing. Meanwhile, his temporal self lives with his wife and cat in a small-town hermitage in western Massachusetts where he spends his idle hours tending to the needs of tadpoles and keeping his ill-mannered bamboo grove in check.

I got this book as a free download and I really enjoyed it. Psi no more...is a short story and I pretty much devoured it, I love all the characters and had to laugh about some of the situations Emmie gets herself into. Yet she was still able to to solve all the mysteries that were presented to her. This was the second book I read by this Author and I can't wait to read some of his other works.

Just had to start reading as soon as able to download. Again Stewart had me into story. I could not stop reading until end. His detective story is as usual believable & creative. Leading character will intrigue & delight. Just cannot say enough positive things about series. Keep waiting for next adventure. In interim have on list to read again.

Wow! Four mysteries in a short story! This is a great reading with amusing surprises.
Emmie tries her talent as a writer, but gets into strange situations; her friend Fanny falls in love with a seaman; Harry seems irritated and jealous; a handsome manservant has troubles while helping Emmie and finally there is a death to investigate.
Thank you for the entertaining story!

Author really knows how to get you reading and enjoying experience. Just had to keep going with series as such an excellent bit of entertainment. Bit of tongue in cheek with this series makes you long for more.

Thank you very much to Robert Bruce Stewart for a copy of his book in exchange for an honest review.

Emmie's voice is really coming into its own. The story was fun (well, they all are, really) and moved quickly. Hope to see more of Psi in the future.
