This is a fair story of what goes on behind the scenes of the America's Cup race. Dennis Connor lost the Cup (see No Excuse to Lose) to John Bertrand from Australia (see Born to Win). The Race has left Newport where it had been held for a century and this particular Race takes place in Freemantle, Australia (west coast). Connors and his Stars and Stripes syndicate win it back and the rest is history.
