This series is still fantastic!! I love how some of the characters get to go back and forth in time then ultimately wanting to return to the past. The story line is great and exciting. There is not a dull moment in the book. I cant wait for the next book to find out what happens to 2 certain people(I wont say the names so I don't give anything away) Keep the books coming Ms. Woodbury!!

3.5 stars. This series, another one of my holiday staples, is always worth reading, and this is no different. Although I didn't find this quite as gripping as previous ones, it's probably because there's a lot of the modern world in it. But the plot needs it, so who am I to doubt. On to the next.

I loved and enjoyed listening to the audio version of Castaways in Time that I received free from the wonderfully, talented author Sarah Woodbury.
Listening to the exciting and engaging voices and compelling characters narrated by Laurel Schroeder enables the reader to envision and hear the characters interactions.
As David, the King of England, with his friends, Callum and Cassie, are sailing in the treacherous waters on their way to a meeting, the three of them are transported forward in time. Back in England, David's wife, Lily, and his sister, Anna, and her husband and friends find themselves fighting to protect their people and township.
Read and/or listen to the highly recommended audio version and be transported through time and find yourself along with the characters fighting to go back home.

The After Cilmeri series, a time-travel / alternate world storyline, involves an American teenager ... now a young man of 20... who ends up in a position of political power in the Middle Ages. In this book, the young man and two of his companions are swept into the 21st Century as the only means of surviving shipwreck at sea.

Political intrigue haunts their every move both in the modern present, and equal amounts of intrigue and treason are stalking their loved ones "back home." Lots of nail-biting action on both sides of the time spectrum.

Plenty of unanswered questions about what happens next. All I can say is stay tuned! This is not really a series to jump into the middle of, although the author does include enough bits and pieces of background to let someone who is brand new to the story follow along.

This book needed to happen

Seriously, actions needed to have consequences and this book delivers on two. The first is the consequence of having the main antagonist for the last 3 books live. I know the main characters are nice but after three major life threatening plots one would say enough is enough. Nice to see a good job breaking it hero going on here.

The second is in regards to the events in the modern era in the sixth book. The modern world is no longer a safe haven and it shouldn't be. It was becoming a deus ex machina, a convenient out when life didn't work out for the protagonists. I appreciated the ending so much. Especially in light of everything that happened.

I look forward to seeing if this sticks and I really hope it does.

I really love the story line of this whole series, but once again the author has driven me nuts with her mad switching of perspectives every single chapter and an obsessiveness to keep cliffhangers going. O.ver.kill. If she finishes this series, I'll read it, but I don't think I'll pick up anything else of hers. I gave 3 stars for the story line.

I love reading. I love suspense. I love cliffhangers. But there is a point which overkill can take a good book, to feeling like the author is just jerking you around. Sarah kinda danced on that line through out the series and I didn't appreciate that part of her writing.

Ack. So much happening, and yet it all seems to work out by the end, of course. I think I like these kinds of stories because I like to believe that there really are sympathetic honorable people high up in the halls of power, who are willing to throw their weight behind things that don't necessarily benefit them personally in the short term, but help the populace in general out in the longer term. I'm sad at people getting left behind, but maybe (as implied right at the end) they'll be able to do some good at their end.

I have loved every book in this series so far and this one is no exception. I love that they time traveled in a new way. I was sad that Callum and Cassie had to stay behind but I hope that they can return in a future book. I am anxious to learn how they stop the greedy 21st century people from taking over the medieval lands. This series is one of my absolute favorite series and I can't wait to read more.

Three people travel forward in time from the twelfth century, but the security forces are waiting for them. Will they all be able to return? Will any of them return? They are, after all, originally from the 21st century. And what will they find if they are able to return? For war is waging in the twelfth century, and with time travel, nothing is certain.
I found this more gripping than the previous books, although I have enjoyed them all.

Castaways in Time
After Cilmeri series, Book 6
Sarah Woodbury, author

David, now the King of England and a father of a new baby must ensue a time travel trip back to the 21st century. There's always excitement and adventure in this series and this story is no different. I enjoyed yet another book by the talented Ms. Woodbury.

I recommend this book to those that can image a life in a different era and time. It doesn't hurt to have adventures as well.

Another great book in the series. Having read the blurb for the next one already, I knew part of what would happen and spent a lot of the book dreading it. But it wasn't as bad as I feared. I loved the chance to learn more about Lili, Cassie and Callum as well as watching David develop as a King.

On his way to Ireland to deal with the Valence problem, David’s ship is caught in a storm. The rudder has been sabotaged. Callum and Cassie are with him, and as always when his life is in danger, he travels to the future. Meanwhile, Valence, with a force of 2000 men, is attacking Windsor, where Lily, Anna, Bronwen, Math, Ieuen, Carew and the children are.

On his way to Ireland with Callum and Cassie, David encounters sabotage to his boat and a storm in the Irish Sea. Needless to say, he ties himself to Cassie and Callum and to the ship’s mast, thus ending up in 21st Century Cardiff in the hand of MI5. Meanwhile, back in Mediaeval Windsor, they find themselves under attack from Valance.

I like this series and enjoyed it very much. I still feel like Cassie is flat, but I like the books that are more political in this series than romantic
