Great resource, but a bit complex for beginners. The diagrams and instructions are amazing, but a bit out of date in terms of current fashion when I read this book for the first time (almost 20 years after being published). However, I love the author's body positive message and encouragement she provides to us imperfect non-model types. I read this book from cover to cover and marked many sections that I'm sure I will refer back to again and again. This is definitely not a good fit guide for a lazy sewer, but definitely a good resource for those who truly want to understand garments.

This book provides a comprehensive visual guide to tailoring patterns. The first part tends to be redundant in what information the author is communicating, but the case studies and associated guides are easy to follow and concise.
