Chief of Police, Brady Simone is determined to go after the man that killed his parents but his new brother-in-law, Nicholas Jayzon, is doing everything he can to point him away from the man known as “The Barron”. The Barron, or rather, Dennis Savage, has inflicted his own kind of evil on people for longer than anyone can remember. Savage has no fear because no one can touch him, no one can get near him … except Nick. With darkened tenacity, Savage has watched Nick since he was a child and has never given up on his pursuit of him. He will do anything to have Nick join him and become a part of his organization. Savage will even allow Brady Simone to pursue him for a time, without killing him. For the sake of his sister’s happiness protecting Brady is important but keeping Savage away from his sister is Nick’s primary goal. If Savage learns of Lena, she will instantly be marked for death. Nick has no choice but to meet Savage in his own territory and ask for a favor, something he has avoided at all costs until now. Their meeting is ominous. It brings back memories and rekindles Savage’s desire to have Nick take the place where his father once stood. Will Nick be allowed to decline Savage’s offer again? Or will Nick find killers on his heels, ready to take his place in Savage’s favor? Or will Savage simply kill everyone that gets in his way and replace his desire for Nick with the only one that can replace him - Nicky?
“Savage’s voice cuts through my pain and releases me, allowing me to finally see again. To see Nicky hiding under the table, crying for his mother while Eey stands guard in front of my son with a ferociousness that even I wouldn’t dare go near. But it is Kayla that begins to weaken by his hands, slowly closing her eyes and beginning to near death while I can do nothing but watch. I have no choice now …” Nicholas Jayzon
Oh Nick, Nick, Nick!!!! How do i love thee, let me count the ways.....lol!!! ....What a crazy turn if events!!! What an amazing story!!! Jennifer Loren does not disappoint!!! And let me just say....Franky!!!!!!! REALLY????? After all that time to just........UGHHHHH!!!! (Spoiler)!!!!!!!!!! Kayla is one strong woman!! And she carries a BIG gun!!! Lol!!!
Jennifer Loren does not disappoint in her 3rd novel of the The Devil's Eyes series! This book had me captured from page 1 all the way until the end, so much so that I am restless for Masquerade to be out!!! The love between Kayla and Nick continues to shine and we get to understand a lot about the past of the man that is Nicholas Jayzon and his connection to the Barron.
I can't wait to share about the book with all the rest of the fans once the book it out 1/1/2013!
THE DEVIL'S SON IS LIVE ON AMAZON...................RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoo hoo, by far the best one in this series by far.. Really, really enjoyed the paranormal twist that was intertwined into the story. Even though, the paranormal element was very minimal, it was a great surprise nonetheless.. In addition to the paranormal twist, I also enjoyed reading about Nicks past and how he became the man he is now.. Love Nick & Kayla!!
**This review contains spoilers** The Devil’s Eyes I always enjoy a great story of revenge but I especially enjoy it when it gets complicated. Kayla Donovan has been studying Nick for years. Driven by the hate she has for him. Oh yeah, did I mention he dated her sister she feel head over heels in love with him, she was controlled by him and died. The only person that cared for her, that loved her was killed and Kayla knows he is responsible for her death, and she wants payback. Kayla finally has her chance and knows exactly how to get his attention but what she wasn’t prepared for was how attractive and alluring he is, especially his devilish eyes. She needs to gain his trust and most of all his heart so she can destroy it before he destroys her. She does whatever it takes to get there, even if it means having to deal with the devil himself in some criminal activities. Nichoals Jayzon has made a name for himself by stealing, duping and charming his way to the top practically owning the city. He is where he is because he is smart, he plans things out and pays attention to everything. Most fear him and almost everyone owe’s him favors. Then there’s the women, they fall to his feet. Not one woman has ever been able to resist his charms until he met Kayla. She is strong, smart, witty and doesn’t listen to a damn thing he asks of her. She intrigues him and he wants her. He test’s her every step of the way and she continuously shocks him with every step she takes. *Can I have your attention please- Let the battle of wits begin!* This book is suspenseful, a bit dark and romantic. Kayla is trying to better herself from her past while Nick has to battle the cruel realities of the present. With danger in every corner and no one to really trust, they learn to trust each other. Enemies who want to take Nick’s place are out for blood. When an unknown high ranking city official frames Kayla, he realizes no matter what he does those he has come to love will always be in danger and he will do anything and everything to protect her. When the truths comes out it is shocking but it always makes them stronger. I have to admit, this book started off a little slow for me but then WOW, once it took off, I couldn’t stop reading.. Kayla and Nick’s chemistry is explosive! I love their bantering and I love that fact that he was ALWAYS there for her even when she didn’t know it. At some points in the story it was a bit predictable for me but it didn’t ruin anything and the ending leaves you hanging.
The Devil’s Revenge 4 Stars Kayla’s life has fallen apart. She has lost the man that she loves and is devastated, angry. She and her son are in hiding. Ryan made a promise to Nick that he would protect them. Due to events , Kayla is forced out of hiding and to keep Nick’s legacy going, she takes control of the business. A power hungry city official has framed Kayla in her husband’s death and will stop at nothing to see her and the empire Nick has built destroyed. The DA has requested the death penalty. At her hearing, Nick shows up alive and well and the case against her crumbles and she is set free. With Nick back home, Kayla is releaved but PISSED. Let’s just say, Nick has a lot of groveling to do. When the enemy strikes again and goes for his children, Nick and Kayla are dead set on revenge. Getting help from unlikely allies, and learning to trust each other again. They do whatever it takes to save their family. Nick has a secret that will give Kayla some closure on her past and poor Kayla, her world is jumbled yet again.
The Devil’s Son 4 Stars The last book left us hanging, Nick is back his happiness is short lived, people from his past come back and threaten his future. With his sister’s fiancé (who happens to be the Chief of police) dead set on killing Dennis Savage, the very man who murdered his family. Nick will do anything to protect them, even if it means dancing with the devi . Nick’s father warned him of Mr. Savage and Mr. Savage has wanted Nick from the time he was little. New enemies come out of the shadows and again, threaten to take Kayla and his son’s away. They are no longer safe anywhere they go, especially his son Nicky. The truth about Mr. Savage comes to light, along with Nick’s family history *can I just say WOW* With a trip down memory lane things are explained, the pull he has had with Kayla, the power he has over people. Kayla stumbles upon a picture with a name that she has heard before. With help from her dad and Brady, she searches for information on the mystery women. While preparing to find a safe place for his family he gets help from his mother and he finds important papers that maybe the key to saving his family and himself. When Savage bursts into his home hurting Kayla and threatening the rest of his family, Nick has no choice but to work for him, the same person his father protected him from and the only person Nick has ever feared. This book brings to light a ton of information (jaw dropping information), especially when it comes to Nick and his family. The future is now completely unknown for the Jayzon family. It leaves you hanging and wanting more. This series has been suspenseful, sometimes humorous, mysterious and downright sexy. I look forward to seeing what’s will happen to Nick and his newfound information in The Devil's Masquerade: The Poison (The Devil's Eyes, #4) and then seeing what happens in The Devil's Masquerade: The Remedy (The Devil's Eyes, #5). It is a mix of The Sopranos meets The Devil’s Advocate, meets the intense love/romance of The Notebook...
The Devil’s son wasn’t anything I expected and I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
There will be spoilers from book 1 and 2 (The Devil’s Eyes & The Devil’s Revenge)
Breakdown of Devil’s Son
0-15% Continues from where The Devil’s Revenge left off. Nick is out with his son, eating lunch. He looks at his son and thinks about his past.
20%-80% is Nick’s past. I did not know this. As much as I hate flash backs, it was kind of interested seeing how Nick became who he is today. The majority of the book is Nick in his teens and his relationship with Frankie.
I liked Frankie and even though Nick doesn’t end up with her and we know the ending, it was really sweet and endearing reading the way Nick reacts towards her. Frankie is sweet, innocent and very shy. Obviously Nick has a thing for shy girls. As Frankie gets closer to Nick and Nick opens up a little more to Frankie, Nick still has to deal with his home life and the life of crime he leads.
The Devil’s Son is not a romance book. Yes, you read about Frankie and Nick, but we all know Kayla is who he ends up with so, my feelings were kind of mild during the read. The Devil’s Son should have been an in between novella (but that is just my personal opinion).
I did enjoy the ending, where we get Nick’s POV when he sees Kayla for the first time all those years ago.
81%-100% Picks up where Nick is with his son and continues with the current storyline. There’s PLENTY of stuff that goes on and it sets you up for the next book. Nick is always threaten and not only he needs to protect Kayla, but he has his son to look out for too. He is seeking solutions to keep his family safe.
Besides the last bit of book, I am not sure if it’s necessary to read Devil’s Son. I don’t think I learned anything new, but I did get better insight to younger Nick. I guess you can form your own opinion.
I am putting this at around 3.5 star. After reading and devouring the first two books in this series...this one threw me off. At first it kept flipping from current to past for Nick...then it went COMPLETELY in the past, I guess to build up on how Nick got where he was currently. I ended up power skimming over 1/3 of the book to just catch the highlights. I didn't care about Franky or being in her head which it constantly did for a time. I started reading more involved again when he met Kayla at the Diner. Of which then I enjoyed again, especially up to the the cliff hanger end. I don't mind that it changed from revenge/romance/paranormal series overall. I just didn't care about all the time spent on Franky and his past...after two books...I was not emotional attached to her, only to have a tiny anti-climatic reunion.
Can I just say this: Jennifer Loren never fails to disappoint with this series! Although I didn't appreciate the early release so close to Christmas day, I just had to read it. But this series is so damned entertaining that you go through it like a possessed speed reader.
I sort of missed the Nick-Kayla banter. I know. I get it. This is the back story. I.just.did.not.enjoy being in Franky's head. It felt like betraying Kayla who is one of the most badass female characters I've read this year.
Jennifer Loren sure knows how to deliver an exciting story. That ending has me pumped up for the final book. CAN'T WAIT!
What the F happened to this series??? Last book was a real history that showed Kayla and Nick with their love and problems and the HEA of everybody.
This book became paranormal... The only thing that I was thinking was "WHAT HAPPENED??"
There was no more Kayla's POV, 67% of the story was in the past and Nick suddenly got powers to fight against his enemy. I seriously did not understand and like this book and it is such a shame considering the first 2 were 5 stars for me..
I will read book 4 when it comes out but I consider myself very disappointed.
The third book in this series did not disappoint! I was a little nervous going into it because I had heard it had a paranormal twist and I do not read paranormal books. However this book was amazing and I had nothing to fear. I loved seeing Nick's past and his relationships with his friends, family & first love that we did not know about before. Even though I was NOT a fan of being in Franky's head it put things in perceptive for how Nick truly feels. I enjoyed watching Nick's love grows for Kayla and the interactions he has with his boys, especially little Nicky!
Of the three books in this series, The Devil's Son is by far the best one. It goes back in time and tells the story of Nick's life growing up. It also reveals a lot more of the paranormal side of the story. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. But the first two books, The Devil's Eye's and The Devil's Revenge need to be read before this one.
Could this series get more complicated? From a mafia/ganster-romance and now with a touch of paranormal.. either way, it's a win win for me, cause I love both! And though I never thought it would lean that way, I use to wonder what's up with those eyes that can scare and paralyze enemies?! Now I know!
In this series, Nick tries to save Brady who seeks revenge for his parents killer who just happens to be Nick's biggest fear, Dennis Savage, a very evil man who has been pursuing Nick since childhood if not for Nick's father. And it means he has to ask Savage a favour to leave Brady alone, but demons don't give free favours do they? At the same time, Nick has to make sure Savage will never learn of Lena and Ryan...
Approaching Savage brings back old memories, memories of his not so normal childhood, his parents, about Ryan and Lena, his brotherhood bond with Luke and Elija, about how he started working himself to the top to where he is now, about his first love, Franky.... and the first time he saw Kayla. This series also shed new light about Nick's father.
I was curious about Franky when she was mentioned on book 2. It is definitely good to finally know the extent of her relationship with Nick. Though she might be Nick's first love, I really don't feel their connection together or maybe there is but just a slight one.... that she was innocent and chases after Nick and Nick feels protective of her, and she makes Nick feel good about himself.... plus they were quite young then. Or maybe it's just me, though it's quite obvious she's no competition to Kayla. And she did save Nick.
Now, the now 6 years old Nicky, how'd he grow up so fast? Huh! Anyway, he couldn't be any cuter than ever.... a mini-Nick, following his dad's swagger?, and defending his mom... adorable.
But what's up with that dog Nicky saved? Did Nicky do that?
This book takes you back to the past in order to move the story forward. Dennis Savage definitely makes a most hateful and powerful enemy by far!!!
Though it is not as action pack as the previous books, but the suspense is full-on. And It makes a more interesting read knowing Nick's past. My rating is based on how much I enjoyed this book and I loved it. Ms. Loren certainly knows how to write such powerful endings that leaves you uncertain and wanting to read the next book. An intriguing and addictive series!
So so good! And I have to thank Jennifer for providing me with an ARC of this book.
I was a little sceptical about starting this book. I had completely devoured the first two in the series, The Devils's Eyes and The Devil's Revenge, and I couldn't get enough. But before starting The Devil's Son I had heard there was a paranormal twist to it. I don't usually read anything PNR and thought it would ruin it for me, it turns out it didn't at all, I had no reason to worry.
The Devil's Son gives you a complete understanding to the world of Nick. You finally understand what makes him tick, who he is, what his so called power is and more importantly, who The Barron is. No question is left unanswered.
I really enjoyed learning about Franky in this story. I really appreciated their story. At the end of The Devil's Revenge I was so angry at Nick for the whole scarf episode but now I finally understand everything.
I am so excited to read Masquerade, whenever it is out. Jennifer has wrote a brilliant series here, unlike everything I have read in the past and I am looking forward to seeing where the journey takes the characters.
An amazing, brilliant, couldn't put it down book! I read this in one day because I could not put it down. I really hope it doesn't take a year for the last book in the series to come out. I can't wait to see what happens.
You learn so much more about Nicholas and his family. I won't go into detail because I don't want to give anything away but if you loved the first two books this will not dissapoint.
In this book you will learn about Nicholas' parents and more about his siblings. You will also take a trip into his relationship with Franky and I swear you will love Nicholas even more. You will learn more about his son Nicky. His son has left me wondering and questioning but again I won't go into any detail.
I will say that when you get to the end you will be begging Ms. Loren for the next book to learn the outcome.
Didn't like all the stuff with Franky. Made it feel like he was cheating on Kayla so I skipped over the majority of her sections from his past reading just enough to stay in the flow of things. It helps me understand some of his friendships a little better but like other readers, I felt as though we had already come too far to revisit the past in that much detail. Now I'm hoping that's the last we see or hear of Frankly and that the author doesn't try throwing even more turmoil in to Nick and Kayla's story...I think Kayla has enough on her plate now that it looks like the responsibility of saving their family and friends rests on her ability to be Nick's secret weapon!
Never expected that. This series is getting really good. Who would have thought about Nick. Now the only thing I'm curious about is what will happen from now till at The Masquerade. Nick better have some balls and not do any BS on Kayla. Oh don't worry, I have Kayla's back.
No disappointment from me. Story will leave you wondering and then WTF happened in your brain. Actually this book is basically all about Nick from when he was a wee boy to adulthood. You'd be surprised at all the twists and turns.
Wow! This book finally summarises the whole build up of the series. You find out more about Nicks past so you learn a lot about the characters in the books. But I have to say the last third if the book had my heart racing! The ending was fast paced and written in so much depth. I really can't wait for book 4! Anyone know when this comes out? Ahhhhh what happens next? Damn I hope I remember everything I've read for when it dies come out lol 5 Stars! ***** Highly Recommend!
Never has a book drawn me in as much as this, I only wish I read it just that bit slower!!! I'm already having withdrawal symptoms and the thoughts of waiting for Masquerade is making me physically ill. I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with Nick in this book, but of course I did -and hard! The only time I felt uneasy was the mentioning of Brayden being really sick. I hope he makes a full recovery in the next book. :(
Okay I feel really stupid for believing the whole time this was just a crime series. Well played, Jennifer Loren, well played. This series started out okay for, but each book has gotten me more invested in what happens next. I don't want to leave a more detailed review because it will reveal spoilers.
Not my favorite. I loved the Kayla/Nick romance and this was all about Nick and Franky. Also, the errors were blinding. I had to re-read sentences due to wrong words being used. Jennifer Loren needs to learn the difference between accept and except. Oh well.
The Devil´s Son is the third book from The Devil´s Eyes series by the lovely Jennifer Loren, and I have to admit….this one shocked and surprised me! When did a story that started out oh so sassy / hot / badass / and completely sexed up sexy turn into paranormal? NEVER did I see that one coming.
You know….when I read a book and the main male character gets ( in some way or another) introduced…they ALL have something mystical about them. Their captivating / hypnotizing eyes, their godly shaped face, etc. And with this book it was no different for me, until I came to the part where I started questioning the genre. lol. Was it still romance? hmm…of course! Was it more than I had hoped it would be? Hell yeah! With the new twist of events….I was more in love with this series than ever.
The second book , The Devil´s Revenge, ends with huge spoiler for readers to know what person is next on Nick´s death-list. And THAT person is not one who anyone wants to deal with. Dennis Savage is everyone´s nightmare! The ULTIMATE EVIL. Anyone who had the pleasure to get into his way was brutally killed. I even felt the need to silently walk away, even though I was safe and sound in my livingroom.
And there are only 2 people who want Savage dead. Simone ( the new chief of police and brother inlaw to Nick) and of course, Nick himself. Alot goes down in this book. There were many flashbacks ( ooooh, I love scenes from the past!! ) and therefor, many questions were answered regarding Franky, Nick´s parents, and Nick´s siblings. Let´s not forget that Dennis Savage also played a huge roll in the flashbacks, so that was very informative and a delight to read about! The author has a way of coloring out an enthralling scene and for that I was greatful! Because….I wouldn´t have feared Savage so much, nor would I have felt the love Nick showed and the loss he went through or still had ahead of him. ( wanna know who all these people are and what important role they play in Nick´s life?…Buy the book! lol)
The new characters in this book were much more scary and made the characters from the previous books seem like pickpockets. These new characters would have made me pack my guns and run for the hills. I was mentally screaming at the good guys ( THAT is….if you can call a criminal a good guy,…still working that one out for myself) to run and hide under a bridge and get new identities, but NO! They had to go and take it up with the almighty evil!
The pure evilness ( Savage ) had other plans up his sleeve and wanted to force Nick´s future, his fate upon him, no matter what it took. And that meant, going to extremes to make
things happen. But, try to cross a man´s path when he tries to keep his family safe….( ooooh, how fun!!)
Maybe it was just me being ignorant ( or being in love with Nick….* pathetic giggle* ), but I didn´t see any paranormal activities in the first two books. The title of this book should have bitten me in the ass, because…..it does look quite paranormal too me now….* shaking head * Nick´s life seemed so realistic in book 1 + 2. But bringing in some demon like creature into the game was a total welcome! It fit perfectly.
Everything in this book was intense. Nick´s fears, the angst, the love…..it was all doubled and made the whole story even more exciting.
I was holding my breath during the last quarter of the book. All the hope I had for Nick and Kayla, for their friends ( especially Elijah…I heart the guy) , for their family was hanging on a thin thread. I was a total mess with the last part. I was very anxious, and I don´t do anxious! Nick would do anything for his own family, but will it be enough to save them from all the evil that´s just around the corner? Can the Jayzon family survive fate? I have absolutely no clue myself. lol…..But what I do know is that this book was AWESOME!
Even if you´re not a huge paranormal fan….you will fall in love with this book. There isn´t even a fraction of paranormal-overload here. There´s enough emotion to get you on the edge and pull you back to misery. This book will most likely NOT DISAPPOINT!
The Divas are giving The Devil´s Son ( book #3 The Devil´s Eyes) by Jennifer Loren a 5 out of 5 champagne glasses!!
Now, we have entered uncharted territory ... This book has up and become a paranormal in the blink of an eye and honestly I don't know if I want to continue from here or what.
I love the characters and have grown connected to them all, but now the crazies have popped out and I know not which box to put this all in.
One minute I am reading about love, sex and drugs and a next in comes magic .... wtf! is not even a suitable expression as to the jumble that is my brain right about now.
I am mentally exhausted from the turn of events in this book and the fact that there should be a rule in this book that states that if a body isn't seen before it is buried, then chances are the person is still alive.
At first I was glad for the trip down memory lane where we got to see Nick when he was being called Nicky and to finally get some connection for Lena, Ryan, Elijah, Luke and even Dwayne (those were funny beginnings). It was even good to get the background around Franky.
Once again, secrets loom and I swear you could smell fear with every page you turn.
The update into the present was matched beautifully, and it was good to get an update on everyone, even Kayla's father if not especially him.
As the story continues, we seem to see Nick more to the forefront as the other characters, even Kayla is fading into the background. It's as if we started with a crime love story and stray into sci-fi. I have always said this story felt more like a TV series than a plain 'ol novel and it is proving that more.
While I say kudos to Ms. Loren for pumping more than one genre from a book, I believe the story has now strayed from it's original path and my continuation with it is circumstantial. I am mostly just not sure if this is a road I would have want these characters to take and if I want to take it with them. Actually, it makes me a little upset that the story took this path. I would have suggested writing a different novel with different characters to get across this story line, as this set isn't it!
Still, the initial stages were good and the writing style for this novel has grown substantially. I only hope that it gets better and we don't lose the vibe and characters we have grown to love from book 1, as the author ventures down this paranormal road.
Wow finally finished and i loved every minute of it!!! This series is one of my favs and she does it again Jennifer Loren does not disappoint...I just love her for giving me Nick he!he!
Ok how to say this without spoiling it for you!!
The Devil's son was a really good read it gave us a peak to how it all began and filled in the blanks to help us understand to who he is now, to where he came from, his relationship with his parents, what he was becoming, to meeting his first love, to building his empire, to finding out what he is and how far he has come to have it all..but having it all is always to good to be true and you have everything to loose ...
I must say Meeting Franky was kinda of hard to read i love Kayla so much i almost felt like i was cheating on her and i actually felt jealous of Franky for Kayla in this book lol but it put things in perspective. I also enjoyed Elijah he is quite the character very funny. I love him and Ryan..Luke i never really cared for but it was cool to see how they all grew up together. Just going through the motions again of his meet with Kayla from his POV was (ahhh sighh I Love my Nick), then to the present and boom more twist and drama ahhhhhh!!! I can not wait for Masquerade & to see what she does with it ...what will happen to everyone 0_0 i hope we dont have to wait long to know .... I want more and more cant get enough. If you havnt read this series you would be a fool not to !!
I won this book on the goodreads.com first reads giveaway to be honest at first I did not know it was a series but after I received the book I bought the first 2, The Devil's Eyes and The Devil's Revenge on amazon and then after I finished those I read this one. I absolutely LOVE this series! It has great action in it and a great love story all rolled into one. This is the first series that I read that was "mob" themed and it was a great different book to read! It did have typo's but being a "first read" book I understood. I cannot wait to read the next 2 books! By the way, it being a long series by the third book they usually just get old and its like okay when is this story going to just stop but I definitely did not feel that way with this series! I am definitely recommending it to my friends!!!
IS it me or this book just ended way to fast? i started reading it this morning and next thing i know am done... @_@... where did all of the pages go?
Anyways!!!!! this book was freaking awesome not that i was expecting anything different. I also love that in the first part we get more into nicks personality and how he grew up and then that little surprise that "she-slut" Franky is alive!!! smh. i know she is harmless and seems nice but i hate the fact that she was nicks lover because i am team Kayla all the way. Something else that made me really happy about this book is that fact that here we see just how much nick cares for his family and specially is relationship with Nicky. am reading the next book as soon as i can (meaning, am buying it and reading it within the next hour. :)
Never saw the ending coming but at the same time I wasn't surprised either. Nick finds out that it doesn't matter how well you set yourself up in his world, all the money and status doesn't deter everyone, especially when others have their own agenda for you.
Initially thrown by the telling of Nick's early years, it did make sense to have this revealed now. The ending uncovers more of Nick's ongoing plight to rid himself of the demands / heritage that prevents him from living the life he desires.
Thought I was being clever with this series, leaving it long enough to read the books one after another, but there is obviously a book #4 to devour :)
loved it---every book in this series just keeps getting better and better. These characters come alive and off the page straight into your heart. I have found a family--I feel a part of them and want the story to go on and on so I can continue to share their lives and their stories--many story lines but they all intertwine and make for an emotionally charged book that you just can't put down. Thanks to Jennifer Loren for writing the best series of books to come out in a long time--if Fifty Shades of Grey deserves a movie, then so does The Devil's Eyes--and I will be anxiously watching for an announcement that it happens.
I'm only giving this one 4 stars for the mere fact that it pissed me off...LOL...I went in knowing that to understand what/who Nick is we had to travel back, I just didn't realize that half the book would be about the past and it was hard to even "like" Franky after falling in love with Kayla! Then Adair...oooohhhh, that motherf@cker pissed me off! To even think he had anything on Nick, pfffft, I don't think so. I am anxiously awaiting the next two installments to see where this goes and I am beyond thrilled that it is coming out at the same time, YES!!!
I did enjoy this book but not as much as the forst two.. I just feel that it may be a bit drawn out and all that i wanted to know i was made to wait for!! But when I did finally get it i loved it and Loved the twist of the paranormal. I just wish that it had maybe been put together a bit more so that we don't have to wait so much. But all in all a good book and I still love Nick and Kayla and will most definatly be reading the 4th book in July!
This book kind of took a toll for the somewhat supernatural. Idk how to feel ab the ending and the revelations that werr brought forth in the end. But to get the insight into Nick's past helped me understand what created the powerful man. Hopefully the devils masquerade will give some insight and answer all the questions i have boiling up in my head. Good story so far but idk ab all the devil stuff lol
This book is amazing!!! Jennifer does not disappoint with this sequel like so many authors do. I love how this book went into depth explaining Nick and his past. You really can't help but falling more in love with Nick, Kayla, and then rest if the family. Jennifer Loren has absolutely earned her spot on my list of favorite authors!!! I look forward to reading more from this author and falling in love with all the amazing characters she brings to life!! Cheers!!
