I loved book 2 even more than book 1! It was somewhat better written, I could follow along better, whereas before I had to go back and establish who was really speaking. So where it put in the chapter who was speaking that really helped. I enjoy when books do that, so it's not so abrupt.
In book 2 we find that Rose and Caleb are not back from their honeymoon yet, and no one knows why. We find out later that it is because Rose is coming into a ton of new powers, almost daily, and learning to control them. Some of these powers are not from her being a vampire, but a sun witch. This is something I've never read about before, and would have loved to learn more about it.
We pick up from book 1 in trying to find out who is after Rose and Caleb, who is jealous of what they have and want to take over the Glasson Family Line. The person behind it all is not who you expect at first and was a nice twist. What I also enjoyed, is there were other supernaturals besides just the vampires in this book. I thought it was very cool that not only was Rose a "hybrid" of sorts, but now her best friend was also a "hybrid" supe. Magura foretold of this, and stated that these two besties would be a force to be reckoned with. I can't wait to see what havoc these two lovely ladies wreak.
Everyone from friends to family are very accepting of what Rose is which is surprising. Most books don't portray that side and it was kind of nice. But, that being said, based off the titles of these books, it doesn't seem as though the secret is her being a vampire, since she's going around telling everyone.
There's a twist including Rose's son, Josh, which you don't see coming, but after finding out what else Rose is, I get it. That kind of thing can be passed down. It seems as though all the "new" supernatural beings come into their powers and shifting ability rather fast. That being said, I love a pretty fast paced book, and that's what I got. I finished both of these books in about a day or 2, they were that good, despite the errors found in both books. I am aware that both books are going to be re-edited soon and I believe once that happens, these books will be phenomenal!
I am a grammar Nazi, and at points I had to go back to re-read parts to understand, and I won't lie, I had to stop a few times. But overall, that didn't me stop from finishing either book, as I just HAD to know what happened next. I even already told the author I would love to read book 3 of this trilogy. I must know what happens next!

I bought this book not knowing what to expect. I was compelled to buy it because of the author bio on Goodreads. The author is a woman who has struggled in life on come out on top, she also has health issues similar to mine. Now on to the book.... I was truly impressed! I love vampire stories. I am still looking for the vampire to turn me.
Rose the heroine of the story is truly an inspiration to all women who have been beaten down by life or men. She is a very strong independent character who will do anything to protect those she cares about. Caleb is HOT, comes from money but is not snobbish. He is a little old school or gentlemanly depending on your definition. I think he is a perfect combo and just what Rose and her son Josh need in their life.
One of the ongoing conflicts is how an independent woman like Rose goes from being cut off from everyone she knows and loves to being surrounded by new people that claim her as theirs and will protect her and hers at any and all costs. Caleb is not the only one willing to put everything on the line for her, his brothers; Conner, Carson, and Clayton are right there and very accepting of their brother’s new love. Caleb’s sister Cori shows up within a few days and instantly adores Rose, she is so happy to have a new sister. The fact that Caleb and his family are so accepting of Rose and those closest to her shows how more people should behave. They break rules to let Rose become active in her friends and families lives again.
I appreciate how Angee the author didn't ignore traditional vampire lore but also added her own twist to the vampire laws and traditions. I would definitely recommend this to readers 18+ or very mature young adults. There are sex scenes (not too explicit) and violence, but it all fits within the story and does not feel forced. I would like to mention that I read the kindle edition which has quite a few typos and mixed up words in the sentence structure.

*I handled the re-editing on this book so I cannot speak of any errors I may have or may not have found*

Deadly picks up where Hidden left off. Caleb and Rose have gotten married and are enjoying their honeymoon when mysterious "gifts" start to arrive for them. The gifts lead to a series of events that threaten to destroy everything the Glasson Clan knows.
I really enjoyed this one. There was action around every corner, never a dull moment. And I really enjoy watching Rose come into her own. There are several surprises and twists awaiting the reader, some will have the reader smile, others will have the reader going "wtf?!"
The character development is a lot better in this one than it was in Journey and Hidden allowing the reader to get a better feel for the brothers, and Cori, as well as Rose's son, Josh. The reader is definitely going to fall in love with some of these minor characters and want to stab others in the eye with forks.
I look forward to diving into Secrets Revealed which is the next book as well as anything else Angee comes up with.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws.
