Michel Chossudovsky doesn't command the public fame he rightly deserves, which is no surprise, of course, in a hemisphere (and to a large extent, a world) dominated by the Military-Industrial Complex, Israel lobby and the unabating rabid Neoliberalism. But Chossudovsky's rich academic record is in no need of credit from the average Joe. This book like his other works argues marginalized ugly truths by indisputable facts, and that from credible and often quite mainstream sources!

So the allegation of the book's "trutherism" would be discrediting of course only to those who feel comfortable in the news stream from the corporate media which has as always been quite soft and often silent on the endless catastrophes caused by the US imperialism around the world. Such media would obviously be even less interested to highlight any reported facts that may be potentially subversive to the empire establishment! Such as the widely reported fact of multiple intelligence warnings from US allies on the impending threat of terrorist attacks (including intelligence even on specifics of the terror plot!) or how General Mahmud Ahmad, an ISI intelligence head with financial ties to Muhammad Atta, the 9/11 terror ringleader, was being hosted by the White House when the terror plot took place! This cover-up and disinformation on key political and geopolitical issues remain to this date, reflected for example in the US widespread misbeilef that Iran is a nuclear threat while endless IAEA reports have always suggested the exact opposite!

In the last, I'd recommend his later works on the same topic for coverage of the later important developments. Still, this as a very early analysis of the 9/11 is very informative. But facts here are covered in the sequels too.

as subtitle indicates, an instance of trutherism, though this is a bit more complicated than the normal roll call of 'bush is evil' and whatnot. involves some Marxist arguments, and is a good example of left conspiracism, which distinguishes itself handily from right conspiracism, of course--but is nevertheless still conspiracism.

Excelente resumo/definição do que é a "guerra contra o terrorismo" dos EUA, nada mais que controlo do centro do mundo, dos recursos energéticos e dos oleodutos/gasodutos que transportam esses recursos. Ou por outras palavras, o terrorismo de estado de um império e seus vassalos usado enquanto arma de roubo, extorsão, monopolização, destruição e ocupação....
