In this fourth book in the 'Book of One' series, the truth of the dark god is revealed. The ancients bestow wisdom as darkness grips the land. The fire of truth begins to burn, revealing the shadow, as powers of old are reborn. The warrior accepts the blade, the fire of the dragon burns with rage, and the powers of light and dark conspire with fate.

Dnf. Book 1 was alright, but the series got progressively weirder after each aubsequent book. I got about midway through book 4 and completely lost interest. The quality of the plot took a nosedive probably about book 3 or so. I held on hoping the author would correct the power disparities, but he didnt. Book four just makes things worse.
Aaron is taken to Ansari by Kasha who wants him to learn who he is. Borrican finds that being a dragon is not easy and risks death as a result. Brian, Jax and Fergus are trying to defend the fortress of White Falls. Ariana tries to bring the Elves onto the side of the Kandarans to help fight Cerric and his mages.
Reader beware............a good story with a lot of typos and word decisions to be made by the reader because the author couldn't or didn't decide those things before publishing.
Story still good. But the plot's creeping along slowly. Too slow for my liking. Nothing much has happened. There's too much guesswork. The whole thing is becoming disorganized. No headway. The characters are becoming boring. Jordan Baker was probably high on weed when writing this one. Hope it gets better. Despite the drunken writing, the story is still too interesting for me to give up on the series.
Four stars. Enjoyable read but missed out on five stars because the editing was so unprofessional! Words misspelled, words out of context, missing words in context making understanding difficult! It was very irritating!!!
