This is a fun book. As a "limited edition" not everyone got a chance to get one, but I was lucky, Craig Johnson was in South Dakota and I was able to put in my reservation for a copy. This is signed by Craig, Lou Diamond Phillips, Margaret Coel and Phil Parks (the illustrator) and I had Craig sign it again when he was in Belle Fourche, this time personalized.
Many of these stories have been in print before but it is nice to have them all in paper, since some were only in electronic format. Then there are the Post-its, a collection of some of the more memorable of Craig's monthly newsletters.
I had read many of these before but not all and I didn't get on his mailing list until around book four so many of the Post-its were new to me.
Here there are more "slice of life" type stories or very short mysteries and all are written with Sheriff Walt Longmire as the narrator. If you like Craig's longer works you will love this book. I just hope that, someday, he gets it out for everyone to have a chance to read it.
A collection of short stories that the author writes as a Christmas gift to his fans. It was a complete delight to reconnect with beloved characters and even though I’d read the black bear story before, that didn’t stop me from laughing aloud! And wishing there were 10 more stories that followed.
This is a collection of short stories involving Walt Longmire in one book. Some of the stories have been previously published so if you have read previous Walt Longmire short stories you will see them repeated here.
If you are a fan of the Walt Longmire series then I think you will like this book. The stories are short and I found that the whole book was a fast read.
