It was from a Macmillan adaptation that I first read the general story of King Arthur, though I couldn't find the exact edition here (very many abridgements are conflated as editions of the works themselves I noticed, which might have foiled my efforts), which featured what one might call a 'feminist cover'- a photograph of (presumably) Arthur and Guinevere (from some stage production?) standing back to back.
Is this review or reminiscence? I can't set a divide, but considering my lifelong interest in the legend, the book must have done something right (at least in not botching the tale's natural potency).

Ha sido una delicia escuchar al lector de este libro adaptado. Es una lástima que la editorial no dé crédito al actor de voz. Modulaba la voz para todos los personajes hasta tal punto que me hizo pensar que eran varios actores. Por desgracia, no puedo saber quién es.
El libro es un poco más difícil que algún otro del mismo nivel y de la misma editorial (un poquito nada más). La lectura es un poco más rápida. También, he tenido que usar algo más el diccionario, aunque esto no es indicio suficiente de su dificultad. Puede ser mera casualidad.
La historia era desconocida para mí, excepto lo más típico que todo el mundo sabe sobre Arturo, Excalibur, Merlin, etc. Así que ha sido emocionante descubrir alguna de estas leyendas, especialmente el origen y el final. Sin embargo, estas aventuras caballerescas se me hacen un poco aburridas por ser demasiado fantásticas y nada creíbles.
Ha sido entretenido buscar los nombres de castillos y conventos en Google maps. Es sorprendente cómo historietas tan antiguas se han apoyado en lugares que realmente existieron y aún siguen en pie.
Estaría bien leer la historia completa, y no una adaptada, pero queda un poco lejos de ser una prioridad para mi.
